  • Try my baked potato massage at half the price.

  • looks relaxing

  • the shells are filled with a mineral and sea water mix that heats the shells for 1-2 hours. While I have never used this style of massage yet I have been told that the shells increase in heat while they sit, and cool off when they are used, and that if the practitioner is not trained they can easily burn the client

  • OMG, just go to the beach, find some shells, dip yourself in oil, then rub yourself with the shells- how much?? totally free!!

WTF will they think of next??

  • @ohgoshnonamesleft See how comfortable it is to massage yourself with random shells you find on the beach.

  • Looks interesting, but is there any benefits vs. the LaStone Massage or is this the same just different materials?

  • @OtisMcGinty Since the shells maintain the heat for much longer than a hot stone does, you don't need to break contact with the client to refresh the heat. Also, since the heat comes from a chemical reaction, there's no use of electricity like with stones in a roaster, so it's more "green" than hot stone. As for LaStone, since they use hot and cold, SpaRev (the main seller of Lava Shells) have recently come out with Glacial Shells to use for cold.
