  • Fishbone should come to Tasmania.

Shouldn't be too far out of their way surely.

  • Im FISHBONE

  • they brought the funk to the punk

  • I hadn't heard of this band until the other day this was the first song of the album i heard and all i have to say is this band is fricken amazing

  • If they just stayed away from politics, they would have sold twice as many albums. That goes for any entertainer that goes political. Always remember, people with whom you're opposed politically listen to music, too.

  • when I posted last about FISHBONE at the malibu inn, there wasn't all this talk about Reagan and consevatism and all that. to put it simply-artists do have the right to discuss the political/socal norms of their society(don't like it-don''t go to see, look, or hear it), Reagan is DEAD.......and just enjoy the MUSIC

  • @mano8er yup you are right. ppl take this shit so seriously.. its funny! thats why i left most of the comments up.. and i love that it makes ppl wanna watch the video to hear the song and dont listen to the lyrics. they only hear norwood's intro. lol fucking fail fishbone fans who have nothing better to do than talk politics. we dont want you ppl at the shows anyway LOL.. speaking of which.. they have some shows coming up.. go support!! see ya at the show!

  • @boneshaker21 scratch that.. we want you at the shows. they need your money!!

  • @mano8er I havent read any of the political posts on here. I believe in the into of this video they delicate the song to Bush even though it was written about Regan. Fishbone has always been political as well as Musical genius. Angelo is a poet. To be a true Fishbone fan one not only has to listing to the music but the message.

  • Damn I'm buggin out cause this looks like The Barn in Riverside.

  • @BabylonGenocide149 nope not the barn. this was def in Malibu, CA. about 3 years about i believe. i forget what the place was called.. malibu inn maybe

  • @boneshaker21 Oh yeah definitely not but I was spacing out and it looked like it because of the lights and the rafters.

  • Sad mofos all had to turn out to be a bunch of libs who never grew up.

  • @liliodine Hey puto I'm thinkin' you've never met in them live and direct. Cause if you had you know this shit is all stage presence.

  • Hahhaa I had Cali FshBne license plates too. On my 68 VW Squareback. WE watched as Gwen STeffani and Bradley Nowell Skanked as teens to FishBone. Chilli Peppers and Janes Addiction were playin the Sunset Strip at this time. What's up Mark Johnson (Roadie) WHats up Lindy Goetz. (GOldenVoice)??

    CLassic. ~OG-RodDog R.I.P Hillel Slovak.

  • Yeah, and I suppose Barry Soetoro is the savior, right?

  • Fast forward past the commentary and get to the song.

  • FSHBN was my license plates

  • love these guys so much.masters man

  • wow now im really sad, had tickets to see them around this time but the tickets never showed up, these guys are still amazing

  • they just released a list with dates across the country. check out their myspace page, hope to see ya at one of the shows.

  • shit now that i see this i know they are as great as ever, unfortunately, these guys might go down in my life as one of the best (and my favorite) bands that i might never see, im in south america for a while so im gonna miss it, but it doesn't seem like they are losing any steam so hopefully i will swallow my words, and if i don't, it looks like everyone else is going crazy enough at the shows so im the only one missing out (along with anyone who has never heard of them)

  • fishbone is an old school favorite, but to hear them dis Reagan... , they lost my respect. i will never buy ANYTHING they put out.

when will stupid fucking musicians just play music, and keep their fucking mouths shut about politics?

when i was coming of age, i used to love fishbone, now that i am older, and have heard their politics, they will NEVER receive a dime from me.

    spit!

  • whats with die hard reagan lovers, this country has had a long line of terrible presidents pretty much since its inception, reagan let the iran contra affair happen right under his nose, instead of blindly loving politicians why don't you read up on that, the US trying to suppress communism has torn a lot of countries apart, and many people have been killed, like neil young said, that is one more kid that will never go to school, never get to fall in love, never get to be cool, you need to chill

  • email me when you graduate from high school buddy. during the cold war, difficult choices were made. the U.S. has never come close to the c. 100 million (minimum) that communism, socialism and fascism killed in the 20th century.

it might be time for your (red doper) diaper change! ;)

  • ahhhh, your pretentiousness just oozes from you like the rash that was caused from your dirty diaper, hmmm do we have to be childish about this or can we have a discussion here and maybe come out of this learning something new, who were the people they were killing, people that supported the other political party (usually) hmmm who was behind those individuals lending their aid, western powers, we were trying to cause dissension

  • if you want pretentiousness, re-read your first post. i am not a blind lover of Reagan (he did grant amnesty for illegal aliens after all).

that said, communism, imho, is a system that is a) evil, b) a soul-sucking cavernous monument of idiocy, and c) morally bankrupt.

the contra's were fighting against communists, so naturally the democratic congress didn't want to fund them. ollie north, and others took it upon themselves to raise funds to help the cause. were they correct to do so?

  • imo, i don't like our foreign policies, so i do not think they were correct, i think one person having a lot of control is a bad idea, because most people are intolerant

  • Reagan was a terrible president and they have the right to say whatever the fuck they want about him.

  • o.k. that's your opinion. this was a free country.

i just wish artists/actors would shut up when it comes to politcs/religion on both/all sides.

is that too much to ask?

  • I think that one of the major functions of art is to provide a critique of modern society. Music, as a form of art, and musicians have as much right to be critical of religion or politics as an author, painter, sculptor or artist of any kind. They are indeed obligated to comment on the society they find themselves living in. If you don't agree with the message which they have, don't listen to it. That doesn't mean you should demean their right to voice their opinion.

  • p.s. i just saw your homepage and read that you are 19 years old. please elaborate about how reagan was a "terrible president."

leaving out the communist propaganda bullshit your socialist public school "teachers" "taught" you would be appreciated.

  • Lucky for you my friend I received a private, Catholic education. Reagan was a terrible president because one of the focal parts of his policy was a reduction in federal spending. During LBJ's "War on Poverty" the states received large amounts of federal funds to help with the upkeep pf their programs. Some states had almost 35% of their budgets coming from these funds.Reagan slashed the spending and claimed it as budgetary victory.I'm also a political science major thanks just the same asshole.

  • if you ever are able to FIND a job when you graduate, when you look at your paycheck, and actually SEE how much the government is taking from you, to give to some OTHER lazy slob, i hope that you will have an epiphany of sorts.

p.s. like winston churchill said, "if you are not a liberal in your 20's, you have no heart, but, if you are not a conservative in your 30's, you HAVE NO BRAIN!"

  • "I'm also a political science major thanks just the same asshole. "

if true, your i.q. barely surpasses that of an education major, placing you next to last in the "higher" educational food chain. good luck in life shithead, you'll need it when you say, "you want fries with that," or "how many food stamps do i qualify for?"

  • Well I saw your your home page as well there pal. Clearly you're a bumpkin so I really am not offended by the comments. No doubt, I am a member of the dreaded "Liberal Elite" which offends the delicate sensibilities of people like you trying to support too many children on minimum wage.

  • "...the delicate sensibilities of people like you trying to support too many children on minimum wage. "

ever hear of "projection?" have a nice life!

  • Comment removed

  • i see your "projection" and i raise you a "denial" Twat.

  • the bottom line is that fishbone rocks, it's just that i don't think entertainers should be vocal about their politics. they can pull the lever just like anyone else. why alienate half of the people who might purchase your album?

  • better a twat than A TWIT!

  • another group of great and obscure American musicians without rock station airplay.

and we have Shakira and Rihanna fudging the already shredded and mashed genre servings we have left on the air.

  • NO MORE MALIBU INN. They shut the place down some months ago. Probably make it to some high end restaurant or grocery store. Mkae it the the live music venure it should always be

  • Great band. Wish the sound was better

  • Never knew this was about the president

  • It was obviously about Reagan - "All the childrens destiny lies in your hands / unless the commies are gonna heed your demands / Your mind is twisted and your flesh is warped / You scare me shitless I just want to get out" - Who else is it going to be about in the mid '80s?
