Yeah, here in Europe Opel has a good awarding. But, there are three categories, you are going to buy this type of Opel, or a nother type? This type belong to the strong middle categorie and has a good prise/value rate. What's the problem with the little cars?

Nothing actualy, if you buy a Saturn, which is what the Astra will be, Saturn vehicles have alway been good quality, fuel efficient reliable American cars. People are just dumb and never gave them a chance in the nineties and prefered to buy up all the Ricers from Japan.

Are these good cars? Here in the States we are going to be getting an Astra with almost no changes at our Saturn (GM) dealers. All GM little cars in the States have been aweful.

well, i drove a astra 1.7l yesterday and have to say:

good car.

breaks are really good, stearing is...  well not really precise but in a matter ok.

engine is really good for 1.7l. gear shift (manual) is good, interior is also cool.

around corners: well can't say much about that, because i was driving a bit slow, because i never drove one before, but what i saw: also nice.

1.7L model is a diesel engine (Isuzu plant).

Very reliable and fuel efficient. I don't think it will be available on the American-spec. Saturn Astra's though.
