  • coool!

  • smahhhh

  • The base looks like the caster bot from nxt programs

    is it

  • Guys keep pressing " 4 " LOL!

  • 0:54 *FACEPALM*

  • what sensor did u use?

  • @Makutaman27 A light sensor of course

  • pause the vid, play it, then press 6 every half of a second. after doing that, read this: the robot hates the wood

  • when it gets to the edge of the table, does it ditch the bridge over the side?

  • *facebridge*

  • its not really rv cause c it has the us sensor that can b programed to c stuff clser and farther away frm it

  • awesome! i want lego nxt for christmas

  • @Chavseatmydust

Dude I own one. I used an ultra sonic sensor for my vid to make it look programed and I still used a remote. It was a weird tank like thing I made. That Wat some people do. They put in sensors and they use a remote instead.

  • You were usin a remote control I think. Cause it could been done over and over again with a loop. Each time it picked up and laid it down, it was different. I know this cause I use a remote control on those things. That answer a lot question for you people out there?

  • @DLD511 it doesnt look like a remote control to me...

can you not see the ultrasound sensor pointing downwards and it goes just over the edge to check when it needs to move back and place the bridge.

  • hey i made a better robot with my mates that works alot better

  • bravo good job :D clap clap clap

  • Are you MoveToDecaf from UbuntuForums?

  • NOOOOO! I JUST BUiLT A IOAT AROUND MY HOUSE AGAINST ROBOTS!! NOW YOU DO THIS TO ME?!

  • omg soooo cool

  • Very cool!!!!!!!!

  • dang thats cool

  • i was wondering how you programed it ? I made one today and i'm struggling with the programing i would appreciate your help if you would

  • how did you get the bridge not to slip when madison drove over it

  • you might want to put a 4 stud diameter X 2 stud wide solid (non-pneumatic) rubber block tire and wheel on its side at each corner to prevent the bridge moving when the robot crosses it

the tire im talking about goes on the 2 stud dia. x 1 stud width wheel hub, and should look something like this crude ASCII art:

    ___________

    | ____ |

    |__/ |--2--|\__|

     studs

and here's the wheel hub that it mounts to: (view in-line with rotation axis)

    | |---- 2 studs

    ( + )

  • Its freaking genius !!!!! your good at this man!

  • NEAT!!!

  • dude that is so cool!

  • Its BigFoot from MW2

  • Hey, nice work. Does it also check if the bridge is long enough to fill the gap ?

  • its smacking it self in the face ever time it wants to cross

  • awesome. were did u buy it

  • lol, probably hard to program was it? still cooolll

  • hahaha SMACK

  • how long did it take to make that????

  • did u use Java?

  • nice job :)

  • I love how it smacks itself in the head with the bridge after it picks it up :D

  • that is awsome

  • i wonder what happens when the gap is too big and it lays the bridge it falls to the ground robot thinks "Bridge lade", "cross bridge" moves forward SMASH! LOL but still nice robot

  • Great work! 10/10 and could you please send the program or the instructions?

  • nxt 2.0 ? or nxt 1.0 ?

  • awesome.

  • that bot is so confident it slams the bridge down BAM! lol

    nice bot !

  • would be fun if would dance

  • jajaja awesome!!!

  • thats very, cool

  • look this video DvD361995

  • This is AWSOME

  • cool man!

  • they had to do this on junkyard wars once

  • nicely done mate!

but i guess the bridge did slip away sometimes or not? =D

    5/5

  • put rubber stoppers

  • SMACK!!!

  • i find that just amazing and despite what any one says it is very cool and a great idea.

  • Great work! keep building, check out our stuff and let me know what you think

  • Me Me ME , Danger , itzs the tables end .... BAM !!!! Bridge .... Man , i love this robot xD. I like how he recovers his bridge. good work.

  • EEEET. EEEEET. EEEET. *DANGER! GAP!* weeeeeeeeBANG!!

    And then crosses the bridge.

  • cool! nice work^^ mfg

  • more like a forklift

  • i would but 1. i dont have a camera. and 2. i dont have a nxt lego idiot either. (evan tho i'v worked with them.) so there.

  • Awesome!!!

  • I love how Madison slams the bridge down.

  • i see 2 flaws... it smackes the bridge in the gap like its made for steel and it hits itself in the head(?) when it pickes the bridge up.

  • Im in the Robocup Regioanl finals wiht my team in school , we use this unit , (one up form last years RCX ) Pretty complictaed programming , did yu use the ltra sound for the gap detection?

  • nooooooooooooooo what do u think the thing that looks like the ultrasound sensor on it is the light one?

  • thats so cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • How did he knows where stops the table?

  • theres light sensors on it

  • how did you make that could you get back to me

  • genius XD

  • this is not as cool as radioactive mutant exploding hamsters

  • Wow very good!

  • i like it but...

WHY DOES IT KEEP HITTING ITSELF WITH THE BRIDGE?

  • FACEPALM. :l

  • Brilliant!

  • cooooooool!!! oh ya & did you poot ruber on the botum of the brige?

  • very cool!

    5 stars.

  • sweeeeeet

  • wow cool

  • this is a cool design. you should add some more code to it so it can lay bridges and explore the area.

  • lol madison selffish he wont let anyone esle cross his brigde all he do is want to get over thaings hey u should make a longer bridge for longer gaps

  • Awesome. I love it.

  • lol

  • cool!

  • nice

  • Does Madison actually detect the edge of the table before beginning her bridge-laying maneuvers, or is she hard-coded to begin them as she does?

  • There's an ultrasonic detector, which detects distance, pointing straight down.

  • There is an ultrasonic detector that detects the edge of the table.

  • wow thats clever I like that a lot :)

  • That's very clever! Good work! :)

  • je zou kuneen zorgen dat het bruggetje niet meer schuift

  • great work!

    with ultrasonic sensor

  • You have inspired me to build my own. please expect a video response in the near future.

  • Hey, If I ever need to cross a bottomless pit, I know who to call!

  • thats pretty cool!

  • sweeet

  • I'm impressed that she turns around and picks it up again, that would have been a pain to program I reckon.

  • i bet your hoping that "Madison" won't accidentally push the bridge off.

  • AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • lol "this is madison" you named it MADISON? awsome name dude! and i give it a 111111111111111111111111111111111111111000.1/2 :D :D :D

  • Lol most ppl don't know that u usin a ultrasonic 2 detect the hole in the table. Nice programming tho.

  • very great idea!

  • its cool love the control that he can pick it up again just only when it gets to a gap that is to big it will through the bridge off :P then its self

  • hello

    hi corey

  • is working himself ? or you control it ?

  • Cyber48: its is fully automatic. A sonar or light detector (i dont know which) checks to see when the surface it is on stops. Then, it drops the bridge down, goes over it, then it turns around, picks it up, turns back around, then repeats.

  • That is really cool. Well done. It's really coll that he picks up his bridge so he can keep going. It would be even more cool if he could tell is a gap was to large to be crossed...

  • GREAT WORK,

  • I meant to say I wasbad at programming robots in my last comment sorry!

  • WOW! I'm good at building NXT robots, but I am kind of bad at building them. If I programmed that it would have fallen off the table lol. 5/5

  • coolio

  • That is amazing!

  • very good! Most robots that i see with NXT dont "undo" what they did so they can redo it!

  • That is really cool. I want one of those things.

  • Wow! Thats amazing!

  • this little guy roxx ^^

  • that is awesome

  • why can't you attach the bridge to it's back and get it to roll over the gap?

  • Not bad!!

  • one of best nxt designs i have ever seen, very original.

  • the life of a robot must be pretty boring though

  • i think it kept whacking itself with the bridge when it picked it back up...

    nah just kiding!!! great work

  • Maddison! hahahahaha You named the robot! lol

  • pretty kewl

  • Awesome.

  • thats so tight i bet the army could use that for like planting a bomb or soemthing i mean sure that already have one but there slow

  • my ass is hurting sitting on the vertex of my chair, this is amazing

  • monkeybike is right!

but i don´t have enough money for 3 mindstorms nxt <:/

  • You come up with such amazing ideas. You made lego proud, because now Im going to go out and buy 3 packs of the stuff!

    Thx for the great videos.

  • Thank you. Your comment is much appreciated. Glad you liked the vids.

  • is there different packs you can buy? or is it one that comes with everything you need?

  • :D

    nice one ^^

  • nice :)

  • Cool

  • great idea!

  • OMG that's cool! Can you pm me some info on this, what 2 buy and all...thanks!?!

  • AWESOME!

  • Simple & Clever

  • Dude not simple

  • Cool

  • hi, it's a great and i wonder if it can be better that the bridge is anti-skid..

  • i read bridge-playing robot, now thats something else

  • That was awsome :D I want to make one of that myselfe, but the problem is that I'm not a expert in nxt programing.

Did you use all the originals parts?

  • seriously GREAT ideaa!

  • Decaf.. check the nxtlog for BEAST my bridge laying robot. he is a dual nxt robot.

  • Hi, I saw your film and I was very inspired. The idea is brilliant. Therefore I built Sepp, the brother of Madison. You can see Sepp by youtube!

  • Sepp is excellent, a hell of a lot more reliable than Madison ever was. Very impressive. I recommend all viewers to go have a look.

  • has the bridge ever fallen and the robot malfuntion

  • it takes the brigde back too lol

  • awsome! very nice!

  • very ingenius way to use the ultrasonic sensor.

  • very good worth it

  • hahahahahaha awsome!

  • lol thats cool!
