In those days (20s and 30s), there seem to have been quite a few child preachers. There was a woman here in Upstate NY who was a child evangelist at the age of 8. She would preach in tent revivals with 400 people or more, and was written up in the newspapers like these kids. I attended some of her Bible studies as a teen and she was the real deal. I have only heard the name Aimee Semple Mcpherson and have read her great commentaries in the Master's Healing Presence Bible, and now hearing her sing. Wow what a blessing
I never heard of Amie until tonight, but 5* for the music. I sure miss church music like that. I just miss church I guess. We used to sing old time music in every service, 4 times a week.
There are some great old hymns and songs that need to be revived. I enjoy today's Praise and Worship but sure enjoy the old hymns. Thanks for you comments. Be Blessed.
Those who are to be leaders in God's true body of believers have to come into the image of Jesus Christ.We are to judge those in the church Not those outside the church 1 corinthians ch 5 & Hebrews 14:12 without sanctification no one will see THE LORD!
I just read 1 Cor.5 and Heb.13:12 and I understand what you're saying but don't agree with your deduction. The young man in 1 Cor. 5 was proud of his sin with his fathers wife. On the other hand, those with faults (sins) come under Galatians 6:1, which is the way we are to deal with sin in the church. If any man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such a one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. Have you helped restore anyone lately?
I'll start by quoting a verse, "He that is without sin among you, let HIM first cast a stone at her." John 8:7. Do you have any sins or indiscretions in your life, that you may or may not have repented of?
Ask Jesus to forgive you and determine to be a "quick forgiver" and a "quick repenter."
Sister had some faults (just like you and me), but she answered to God, not you or I. I love her for the good things that were accomplished in her life and ministry.

She didn't live very long. Her indiscretions seem to parallel todays tele-evangelists.
