  • Comment removed

  • So this is where xianghua got her moves from. It's ashame im Asian and I can't do that.lol :(

  • that shit better be just for performance, or they are gonna get their asses handed to them if they fight like that.

  • that was so awesome it was slightly arousing XD

  • is there a difference between wushu sword forms and taji sword forms or is it the same art under a different name? thanks

  • Yes! Besides the very obvious and very big difference's between the two styles, in almost any aspect.

Tai Chi techniques are based on older techniques found in traditional Kung Fu.

Some techniques in Wushu, would never be performed in Tai Chi, and vice verse.

  • @ZaphodUk1 Sword techniques are pretty universal, though there's a difference in the body, speed, and so on. But many techniques found in taiji sword are also in the longfist sword forms.

  • @ZaphodUk1 the taiji sword forms consist of lots of gliding..and transitional techniques..taiji sword is more about trying to adapt or stick to your opponents blade. Its all about controlling the opponents blade, lots of blade engagement.

the wushu sword forms are more obvious, quick and direct. all the form applications are obvious and much more simple compared to the taiji form.

  • It's Xianghua. o__o

  • It's Jian. Longsword is a term used to classify some of the European swords, which are primarily two-handed.

  • what type of sword is that?

  • it is actually called long sword... i have one..

  • THey may call it a "long sword" where you are but its proper name is called a Jian, Ask for a long sword you might get anything but what you see in this clip.

  • yeah we call it a long sword class because it is longer than the dao and easier to remember because we have several other straight swords and it gets confusing...

  • ive got one too lol its jian or straight sword.

  • Thats the original wushu jian competition form from the early 90's. Its also in the old wushu competition forms textbook.

  • the motion capture model for soul caliber now lives and teaches in washington state; she's my son's wushu instructor-

kungfu4kids dot com, then go to staff-

    Li, Tian Yuan

the link to the soul caliber commercial with her in it in on her bio

  • only in xiang hua's bio, it said it was aself taught style, handed down from her mother

  • are you retarded...

  • ya i guess you rite, i put to much emphasis on video games

  • *LOL* Kewl

  • thats xiang hua's movements

  • it's move-for move identical to the exibition video in the soul caliber games.

  • very good

  • that was awesome, it reminds me of xianghua(soul calibur)

  • thats because Xianghua's sword play is actually based on that style lol if you compare you can see that it is actually the same one they show you in the game, albeit a little faster

  • I did the motion capture for Xiandhua(soul calibur), check out my TV commercial for it.

  • @tianyuanli Shanxi wushu team the best!
