  • u are so smart and qualitative professional on your tutor; I have seen many of your presentation.I evaluate u like this: topic selection,Language clarity,Target full ,sound and video quality->'A'

  • Wow...who knew?

    thanks alot

  • i never even took a second look at the background eraser, never did I knew that.

  • WOAHHH!!!!!! Thats awesome!!! Im going to try that out now!

  • tanks aj

  • nice video :)

  • I have tried for two days to make this work and the eraser tool when I superimpose two layers erase everything What am I doing wrong ! have followed all the steps exactly ?

  • @potemska - be sure to choose the Background Eraser and set the options to "Sampling Once". You can also reduce the Tolerance setting for the Background Eraser if the default percentage is too high. (Try under 32%)

  • is this on whidbey island?

  • very good man thumbs up thanks for the more idea

  • 3:23 lol scrubby zoom

  • that is a well impressive tool! well done adobe

  • @NOMin8or - If you duplicated the Harbor layer, you could use the Background Erase as demonstrated on the original THEN use that layer to create a layer mask for the Harbor copy. I do this on occasion when I need the long term benefits of a mask vs the convenience of erasing pixels.

  • How did you have layers side by side?

  • @BridgeChurchHawaii - I believe you're referring when I tiled the image windows. I simply used the arrange documents command found in the Application Bar. You can also goto the Window menu and choose Arrange.

  • How does it know what to keep in the foreground layer and what not keep?

  • @BridgeChurchHawaii - When using the Background Eraser, the key is to set the options to "Sampling:Once" this will ensure only a specific color value is erased. Like other "magic" tools in Photoshop you can control the range by adjusting the Tolerance within the options.

  • nice bro

  • This a a tut thats useful!

  • just 9 likes? wtf

nice videos, u need to get more popular :)

  • @JayVanDerGay - Thanks for your enthusiasm. Get out there tell all the people, we won't accept anything less than 100 likes. :^)

@spadict - Glad you find the little extras in the videos useful. I'll keep adding them each week.

  • Keep up the great work, love your videos. Don't stop sharing all your HotKey tricks either, because those are great. I learned that Alt-click on the background to unlock thing from another video of yours and it became a staple the next day.

  • When I try this, it also erases my foreground.

  • @sautezFort - make sure you set the option for the Background Eraser to "Sampling Once" in the Options bar.

  • @ajwood2001 - hmmm. Was pretty sure that I had set it to "Sampling Once". I'll try it again.

  • @sautezFort try reducing the tolerance as your subject may have similar tones as the background you're trying to erase.

  • tankx my teacher!

  • WOW, Thanks man! That helped to finish my fake drivers' license! :D

  • Great tip!!

  • nice tip a.j., thanks again!
