Transformers G2 Megatron (Tank) Review

I remember when I saw that Megatron in some comic, I thought he looked cool, and he was in the middle of pummelling Optimus but everyone dropped what they were doing and joined in the fight, he even got fired on by Decepticons, and Starscream airlifted him out!

I have that little Megatron, though and I'm not keen on it either! I mostly got it for the fun thought of having Optimus, which my brother didn't get for christmas - he got Ultra Magnus instead!

I know some Megatron purists are gonna disagree with me, but there are advantages to being a tank instead of a pistol:

1-He can fight in both forms, even if parted from his allies.

2-Kids won't get in trouble for bringing a toy gun to the airport.

To build on what the uploader has said,what is wrong with being young at heart? I can tell you from personal experience it makes you feel and look younger, feel happier, live longer. What is wrong however is becoming a cynical old man and bringing down others to build yourself up. That is when your life is near over.

Which Classics figure is that? I thought classics megatron was that silly laser gun. It looks like a repaint of universe Galvatron.

Great review! I'm so glad I didn't pick up the Classics Megatron; he looks puny and disjointed next to the original G2 Megatron :/ And...small. I had no idea G2 Megs was so big, it would explain the high shipping I just paid for him on eBay >.>

I'm going to address the sudden rise of the question "How old are you?". It seems people can't grasp the concept of adults owning toys, what's so wrong about it? Adults play video games, adults read comics those are mediums usually attached to children.

So instead of taking 3 seconds to write one of the most unoriginal things ever typed, think about the stuff you like and if some person made an ignorant remark about it.

@UltimateMaxter Amen, brother. I had one of these when I was in 1st grade and lost it. Just found one out of box at a convention for 12 bucks, and now it sits proudly on my desk next to my Beast Wars Megatron and my Optimus Prime.

By the way, I'm a college graduate, happily married, and yes, I still play with my toys. All the haters here are the ones that need to grow up and let the rest of us enjoy our lives =)

I like G2 Megatron better than G1 Megatron. G1 Megatron didn't even make sense. Ever see the 1986 movie? Megatron turns into a blaster, which Starscream holds in his hand. What? Where the hell did all that metal go? I could understand Devistator using Megatron's blaster form if he were a giant blaster, but he clearly shrunk to the size of a small blaster for Starscream to use. G2 Megatron is better. I don't agree with the colors, but still better.

lol his design is based on the m-1 abrams tank hes not the flexible u could trip him with an ice cream truck and his feet put giant sketchers on em' lol so he really screwed in robot mode and bulgy

I didn't like the classics tank Megs, But if you like him that's great, we all have different taste. As I said I like him as a display figure, but he falls apart far to easily to be a really good figure. Plus I wish he had 2 hands.
