I'm sorry other people, but all of your answers are wrong! Isn't that right Stevie ?! :D
@iMassiniman I might consider still entering you in the competition is you could write a convincingly Austen-ian ending to Pride and Prejudice that actually involved Ashley Cole : P
@SableCaught Hmm, this is a great challenge if i'd actually read P&P, yes I said it, please, don't send me to the gallows! I could find a summary though :3
1. Northanger Abbey 2. Jane Fairfax 3. George Wickham 4. Young Fanny was played by Julia Joyce and older Fanny was played by Billie Piper 5. Mansfield Park 6. Lady Susan 7. Bath 8. Persuasion 9. George Knightley 10. Fitzwilliam I <3 Jane Austen!
This is fun! I hope the book is fun too! 1. Northanger Abbey 2. Jane Fairfax 3. Wickham 4. BBC? Not Billie Piper (that's ITV), she's Sylvestra Le Touzel. 5. Mansfield Park 6. Lady Susan 7. Bath 8. Persuasion 9. Mr Knightley 10. Fitzwilliam
@Elizzybrigth Omg, you're so good at this you spotted the mistake I made, I meant the ITV adaptation. I feel like I should thus give you 11 out of 10 : P
1. Northhanger Abbey 2. Ms. Jane Fairfax 3. The ever notorious Mr. Wickham 4. Billie Piper? 5. Mansfield Park 6. Lady Susan (I still haven't read this one; though it always intrigued me 7. Bath 8. Persuasion (Have you seen the 2007 movie? Rupert Penry Jones is excellent in it) 9. Mr. Knightley 10. Fitzwilliam (Fitzgerald? Pride and Prejudice is my favorite so I should know this lol)
I read Lady Susan back when I was studying the epistolary novel. It was very interesting, reminded be a lot of Ler Liaisons Dangereuses, you definitely had this brilliantly evil character shinying through. And I haven't seen any film/tv adaptations of Persuasion actually, obviously this is one I must track down! Feels like watching it would be a good activity for today. To the library!
The early novel, written in letters, that I was referring to was Lady Susan. And for question 4 I realise I was actually thinking of ITV's adaptation of Mansfield Park (I think I naturally assume everything good is done by the bbc XP) and in that Fanny Price was played by Billie Piper.
@MissLittleBug You get 10 out of 10 for the questions I asked, however for question 4 I actually meant ITV's adaptation of Mansfield park. I'll give you a bonus point if you know who played her in that one as well!
@MrSirPopey Hey I saw your original comments! I know this comment went on top of them to hide morning sleepiness. I've made at least two mistakes in my video (that have been pointed out to me so far XP) I feel like my commenters too should have to suffer 1am dreariness!
Saying that for than anything in the world I want to attend a Jane Austen style ball :3
@TrevorsIRLvlogs That's not how you do it! You must caught me in a suitable fashion, first you must be introduced to me by my father, then perhaps you can ask for the pleasure of the first two dances at tomorrow's ball, after that you may stop by and sit a while with me and my family in the summer-room and then we might just invite you for a mutton dinner. If you're really forward you might even address some letters to me directly!
Then if all goes well you can discuss my dowry with my father.
