It involves 1:listening(openminded) 2:study 3:reflection 4:meditation 5:integration(in our daily life). Without completing these stages any judgment has little significance. This is not master young. Its actually Ven. Lama Dondrup Dorje. a very respected Tibetan Lama who has dedicated his life to help others and holds many teachings in his lineage. I highly doubt he would be faking something like this for the sake of vanity or power. It goes against the very nature of his path!

@gfol70 I have several times seen "masters" like Peter Young challenged by people who aren't "true believers", and the "masters" always end up looking foolish, because the trick only works on the willing. It's perfectly simple: there is no "chi", there are no "meridians," etc. - the whole "chi power" thing is a delusion from A to Z. I was skeptical about this for years. the reason people are moving like this, is because their bodies are in chaos and they can't control the movements and their own balance. All of Kung Fu is based on QiQong for example, the center line in Ving Tsun for example has a philosophy behind it that goes beyond just practical reasons. I know it seems weird but this is actually real.
Chi used to improve our health, for martial art use to maintain strength as well.

Lama Dondrup Dorje, a.k.a. dr. yeung, is very highly regarded in the martial arts community and has received multiple awards in many types of training ranging from simple combat to advanced energetic transfers...... He is at a tai chi picnic, but is not demonstrating tai chi. At least watch his earlier videos before claiming the man has no fighting skills, he has them but does not use them.
First eating meat has nothing to do with the price of tea in China, the shame of it is this man is actually a very good martial artist with a lot of skill you can look at some of his early tapes and you see real skill.

I went back to a kung fu class after some years and the master was now practicing this fa-jing power. I can tell you it did not work on me and I was not able to be flung around!
Chi is a real energy and it exists. Watch the video of John Chang on here. He's amazing, he actually heals people and shocks the camera crew. There's a video of a guy knocking bricks over using chi on a chinese news channel that's also convincing. Master Young is not using real chi. He has the same lanky dancing freaks to make himself look invincible in every demo. If he was for real he would demonstrate on members of the public. His spirit guide would give him shit for showing off as well.
There is another video of a reporter moving the brick to another part of the table and asking him to do it again. He can't.

With more than 25 years experience of the oriental martial arts, I have seen many many demonstrations of Ki/Chi/Qi. Without exception, they have all been either fakery or excersises in suggestion to allow a student to visualise some aspect of technique.
Why do people actually believe in an energy that you can't see, cant feel and can't measure?
If you still think Qi is real, take a look at the Randi Challenge wedsite and look at some of the discussions with ChiGung "masters" applying.
I've experienced a great deal of what people call Chi.
It isn't. it's just the result of their suggestion and once you anylise what they've said and realise that, the tingling sensations and the flow of energy that you can "feel" goes away.
What's more, you can still teach the technique without the mumbo jumbo and it works perfectly - so long as you understand the principles involved.

This is not master young. Its actually Ven. Lama Dondrup Dorje. a very respected Tibetan Lama who has dedicated his life to help others and holds many teachings in his lineage. I highly doubt he would be faking something like this for the sake of vanity or power. It goes against the very nature of his path!

@gfol70 I have several times seen "masters" like Peter Young challenged by people who aren't "true believers", and the "masters" always end up looking foolish, because the trick only works on the willing. It's perfectly simple: there is no "chi", there are no "meridians," etc. - the whole "chi power" thing is a delusion from A to Z. If Peter Young or anyone else can prove me wrong, I'd be more than happy to apologise.

it looks fake, but "chi" energy is absolutely real. I was skeptical about this for years. the reason people are moving like this, is because their bodies are in chaos and they can't control the movements and their own balance. All of Kung Fu is based on QiQong for example, the center line in Ving Tsun for example has a philosophy behind it that goes beyond just practical reasons. I know it seems weird but this is actually real.

This is sad. This isn't how Tai Chi looks like when applied to fighting. These people are just jumping around, and acting. Since the teacher never got fighting skills in his training his students now have to act and pretend. Anyone who has seen real tai chi fighting knows this is not how tai chi looks when it's used and it has nothing to do with the "no touch" KO junk. No need to test this in controlled studies, I can tell you it's fake from looking at it.

Lama Dondrup Dorje, a.k.a. dr. yeung, is very highly regarded in the martial arts community and has received multiple awards in many types of training ranging from simple combat to advanced energetic transfers...... He is at a tai chi picnic, but is not demonstrating tai chi. At least watch his earlier videos before claiming the man has no fighting skills, he has them but does not use them.

I've trained around enough masters of kung fu etc to be able to say that they are good at kung fu skill however it is their close students who feed their false sense of chi power and they feel guilty if they don't respond 'appropriately' when struck by the master. I went back to a kung fu class after some years and the master was now practicing this fa-jing power. I can tell you it did not work on me and I was not able to be flung around!

With more than 25 years experience of the oriental martial arts, I have seen many many demonstrations of Ki/Chi/Qi. Without exception, they have all been either fakery or excersises in suggestion to allow a student to visualise some aspect of technique.
Why do people actually believe in an energy that you can't see, cant feel and can't measure?
If you still think Qi is real, take a look at the Randi Challenge wedsite and look at some of the discussions with ChiGung "masters" applying.

I've experienced a great deal of what people call Chi.
It isn't. it's just the result of their suggestion and once you anylise what they've said and realise that, the tingling sensations and the flow of energy that you can "feel" goes away.
What's more, you can still teach the technique without the mumbo jumbo and it works perfectly - so long as you understand the principles involved.
In the words of Sifu Lee "Take what is useful to you; discard the rest". I choose to discard Chi !

Secondly you assume that just because something is being "studied at Stanford" that it is real, that the accademic standards are riggorous and that any speculative theories dreamed up by Professor William Tiller haven't been shot to pieces by his peers. He's just an old man happy to make money out of a bunck of new age dolts.
If you wan't to impress me, show me one of Professor Tilles papers that has been published and peer reviewed.

You say it well. There just seem to be a bunch of rubes that REALLY want to believe this. I could not believe the way the attackers jumped around after the "attack".
Embarrassing that people can buy into this. Bloody funny though. Great post by you.

Your are wrong , because it works , but only if you sacrifice many Time onto the Topic , you need a clean Energysystem (Chakras and that Stuff) That alone can Take Months of Training (30-40 Minutes a Day) after That it sill need some Train on the specific Subjekt that you wanna learn , like the Energy Bubble Master Young is doing.
It's not like that it doesn't exist , but not many people want to do many Hours of Martial Arts beside their job
