i cant seem to find an advantage to using it over other assault rifles. the M16 is great at range, the fully autos are better than the single shot rifles at both long and short range and have the same attachments.

All I got to say is that Firing Range 24/7 is up and I played Demolition on it, I used the M16 Silencer and went 38 - 5 but I had to turn of my Xbox and leave the house.... But other than that I highly recommend the M16 Suppressor.

M14 is one of the best guns imo. If you have a good connection and you know where to aim it is BEAST. The gun is almost always a 2-3 hit kill and has a HUGE clip. When used with the grip the recoil is fairly low and it always recoils up so if you know where to aim you can get headshots quite easily. Far from the worst gun in black ops

I think what he is saying is a 3 SHOT kill rather than 3 HIT kill (1 miss).

See, the semi-autos like M14 do have a lot of kick that is so slow to settle with a moving target you'll miss the 1st or 2nd shot, needing a third shot. I have gotten pretty good with the AK47 placing all of a short 3 round burst into the target, I CANNOT get 2 Hits as fast with M14 as fast as 3 Hits with any assault rifle.

M14 demands a slow pace, waiting for that recoil to settle.

I rather like this gun. You said it's a 3-4 shot kill right? No it's not, it's a 2-3 shot kill. I prefer it to the FAL anyways because the FAL's smaller recoil is more unpredictable, and this really makes it harder for me to hit anyone at longer ranges if I don't know if the gun will jump to the left or the right or up or whatever... The M14 always recoils upwards, so I can counter it quite easily since I know what to expect.

I personally believe that the both the M14 and the FN FAL are among the best guns in the game purely because of hardcore mode. Each bullet is most likely a one shot kill and because of the single shot aspects, that means you rarely waste bullets unnecessarily. The large clip sizes pretty much gareuntee that you have enough ammo for the whole game.

it is an ok gun at hardcore the fal is way better though because it is a one shot kill even with a silencer. i highly recommend it for a hardcore gun
