  • Sounds great. How is the low end on that Demorrow? I am thinking of buying one.

  • does anyone know kevin bobo personaly

  • I know him. I was in masterclass with him when he was at the University of Kansas, and he did my drumline camp for my high school as well. I auditioned for him at KU, but he moved to IU Jacobs school of music before my freshman year of college. I was bummed. Awesome guy! Does a good James Brown impression.

  • LOL!! He does do a good James Brown!

  • I met him back in 2000, at a Missouri PAS Day of Percussion; attended one of his masterclasses. My college instructor hired him to give our percussion studio private lessons and masterclasses for the next few years, so I got to spend a lot of time with him.

    He's a great teacher & a great guy. He gave me many opportunities. We also used to hang out quite a bit. It's weird -- now he's like a celebrity in the marimba world! I actually haven't seen him in years. I miss him (tear...)

  • Well there was a Marimba Festival here in Canberra (Australia) and Both Kevin Bobo and Gordon Stout were there and they are really cool guys. Bobo is just insane on the Marimba. Absolutely crazy.

  • Nicely done. Bobo is a master at mallets, and that is a great piece. good job (;

  • I went to Ithaca College with Kevin Bobo. Great guy. As you probably know, Gordon Stout was his teacher at IC. Neat coincidence.

  • Ha, that's cool! I actually study at Ithaca with Gordon right now, believe it or not. I just finished my first year. Bobo came and gave a clinic during the first semester. It was pretty cool.
