This was great, but I saw a different version where the girl from the audience was actually in on it, and when the guy shot the gun, SHE fell dead, and of course the clown went nuts.

I almost got chosen to be taken up on stage. The guy came over and was staring straight at me, tapping his chin. The spotlight was on me too. I smiled up at him nervously. After a while he waved and said, "Nah," I'm only 13, and guessing by what they did onstage...I was too young. XD But I came so close to going up there. :D I will always remember that.

This is Quidam. I went to see Quidam, and they performed this act. They had some Nerdy guy in a purple suit with thick black-rimmed glassses do this part, and he chose people from the audience to do this act. It was HILARIOUS! I loved it. :D

This ist NOT Quidam!! The act is from the show "Nouvelle Expérience" , created in 1990, the premier of Quidam was in 1996 in Montreal!

@10Angel13 This is Quidam (recorded at Rio). The act is the same used in Nouvelle Expérience but it is also used in Quidam.

Fabio Esposito is playing the clown. Today we have Toto Castiñeras playing this role.

overacting birthday clown, (the one from the video) and let him do this act after David Shiner???

no this is quidam. i remeber this act perfectly! it was funny as hell! i guess they used it in more than 1 show.

@10Angel13 David Shiner has, shall we say, leased this act to Cirque du Soleil and it has been performed by a number of different clowns in different shows, including my friend Ambrose Martos in Quidam. However, the silent movie gag structure has been used by many clowns in many different shows, for many, many years.
