I eat good meat, where the animals were treated fairly, had plently of open space, the free-range stuff. Humans have been raising and eating animals for millenia, and I don't think it should stop. I wouldn't want to do it myself, and I don't know how people can do it, but I don't disagree with killing for food. Lions, alligators, and many other animals do it. It is the way of life. That doesn't mean I agree with the ways they do it though. I do have to say this though, that video is based on very extreme cases. I have done studies on some of these slaughter processes and they aren't as bad, bad enough, but not as bad as that video shows.

missy, just so you know, you talk about how you love animals.. but look at what you're eating. it has cream in it, and where does cream come from? dairy cattle are also incredibly mistreated in the states. they are artificially inseminated so that the milk flow continues non-stop. shortly after giving birth, the calves are torn away from their mothers, never to see them again. the females go onto replacing the dead mothers, the boys go onto becoming veal.

Why do other countries want our source of protein? It's because of brain power, bone structure, and quality of life. Without protein (meat) the girls in the video would not look like they do now. There parents were smart enough to provide them with a good diet which included meat and vegetables.

I wouldn't want to do it myself, and I don't know how people can do it, but I don't disagree with killing for food. Lions, alligators, and many other animals do it. It is the way of life. That doesn't mean I agree with the ways they do it though. I do have to say this though, that video is based on very extreme cases. I have done studies on some of these slaughter processes and they aren't as bad, bad enough, but not as bad as that video shows.

What you could do, if you're interested at all in animals treatment, look up where the meat comes from and make sure that the company producing that meat treats the animals with respect before killing it (killing it without hurting it, of course).
And yes, I am a vegetarian.
