I really hope no one thinks these are the the same song. Hundreds, sometimes thousands of songs have the same chord progression. These have completely different melodies (actually, Celebration has no melody which is why that songs sucks). And to be fair, Nicks admittedly stole this song from Prince - Little Red Corvette and Stand Back are the same song. Exact same melody.

Madonna is all pop - Stevie has more substance, a lot more depth to her songwriting abilities. I may have danced to a few of her very shallow songs in the 80's at clubs, but not anymore - compare the two now - Stevie is still selling out concerts at age 63 and still writing new songs - NO Comparison - & I know Stevie would not be caught dead on a stage with Madonna - EVER

Sorry but I don't ever come close to comparing these two artists - hands down - Stevie will always win - in every way - Class act is #1 for Stevie - Stevie is way more intense in her songwriting and stage presence and she does it so much better wearing more clothing - Madonna leaves nothing for the imagination - never has!!

This sounds like it'd be awesome if you could have found a way to isolate Stevie's vocals from that Soundstage performance. I much prefer "Stand Back " live so I love hearing a live version used instead of that studio version!

@DnCompany the vocals came from a center channel rip from her Live In Chicago DVD... unfortunately it isn't a true a capella because there are guitar parts and other stuff coming through the Center channel and her vocal was raw and dull sounding so it didn't fit well with my mix..the only way to "blend" so to speak, was to do the reverb... without it it's crapola.

Yeah it does need some work.. just wish the REAL acapella of Stand Back could be available but I had to take the center channel output from her Soundstage DVD to get a halfway acapella.. there was still bleed through with the bass and guitar so it sounds a lil distorted in parts.. and since it is a mono output from the DVD I couldn't fix that.. but like I said.. it was made for entertainment purposes only lol... thanks for commenting!! :)
