After the Bashir interview aired, the mother and Gavin wanted to support MJ publically for the unfair media-backlash and how he saved Gavin's life and what a good man he truly is and the media is twisting again. It was days later also reported in MJ forums Gavin then got picked on in school by his class-mates. Something must have happened then. Next thing we fans heard MONTHS later was the raid of the Neverland Ranch and then when the accuser's name came out we were SHOCKED!
Why in the world Ed Bradly didn't step up 2 give these details to the public earlier, when Michael Jackson was still with us??? Even after the trial... it would've helped clearing out his name and getting back his dignity and credibility in front of the large public (his real fans believed in him all the way, but for the wider community)... :(
