I have 14 year old female golden retriever and six month old golden puppy. The 14 year old is like her grandmother-- very indulgent and lets the puppy get away with everything.

My dog Guinevere always does that and she's a golden retriever too! does your dog ever make a growly noise, but he's not actually growling, he's just "talking"? Our dog is 25% poodle, but she looks identical to a Golden Retriever.

That's possible with some goldendoodles, even half and half goldendoodles. Sometimes they even have short hair on their muzzles and poodle-type hair on the rest of their bodies--like an Irish Water Spaniel.
