I do not have the original video....It was a CD copy so I guess it is all digital now. It is not even my CD. I just posted this for my step father who is a contributor to an old truck forum/website.
Weyehauser used to use these to haul log trains out around Neah Bay Washington. They would pull four trailers of logs barreling down the dirt roads. It has three axel drive. I'll bet it smells good with the new paint burning off of the exhaust manifold. I would love to have a new one of those to piss the flaming whacko liberals off with just by driving it around Tacoma and Seattle. I live in the woods about 70 miles SE of Seattle. Liberals hate loggers who made all the towns what they are.
But what I confused about is on the site it says the truck has a 16v71T Detroit but it looks and sounds like it has a Caterpillar 3412. Whats with that??
That truck is a MONSTER! I read on the Pacific Truck club site that this truck was built after the Pacific plant closed down, but as you can see it was built in a warehouse. The truck wasn't going to the logging industry, it was ordered by a Uranium Mine in Idaho to pull triple belly dump trailers with a capacity of 250 tons! Smart people choosing a Pacific to do the job.
A LOT, anywhere in the Van Isle logging towns. Dutcyvich's Lemare Lake Logging has like 60 of them. No joke.
google "koprino logging bankruptcy" you will see a site with some up for bid in Port Hardy currently from now-dead Koprino Logging Ltd.
If you want one, bring cash & drive around on island.
Amix in cassidy brought in a old P9 dump not long ago, offered it to me for $5K, I said no, it hauls metal in their yard instead until something lets go on it, then it will get cut on the spot.
@ScorchinScooter Pacific Truck Manufacturing Inc is the current manufacturer of the original Pacific Truck. The have all the original blueprints, jigs, part supply, and rights to the name. They also have many former employees of the old company. So you can in fact get a new one. It's not just a fly by night company that purchased the name. The parent company had a long relation with the original, and rebuilt many original Pacific Trucks from the ground up.
@ScorchinScooter theres a few here in new zealand too theres a series called talking trucks on tv here and they sell dvds of the show if you google "talking trucks new zealand" it should come up
No problem, I am doing this for my step dad. He provided the video I just ripped it off the dvd and edited some of the blips out. I guess I am the techy and he is the knowledge base for Pacific Trucks.
