I like the fan grill where the neck pickup should be. Not only is this guy a great player and singer, but he's a bit crazy which makes it even better.
@IwannaBEamerican Can be a squire from the 80s there were some misstakes when the japanese made squire guitars/basguitars and they turned out better than the american strat, for a much lower price ofcourse. Kinda funny
Ok, now were rockin! excellent taste in music, Phil...... Check out some of my songs, too if you`d like it`s under ragsjames Thank you, very much for the song!
I believe I've read that the pickup in that particular viper is a seymour duncan alnico pro 2. "The Drills" guitar is a viper with a P-94. Not sure why he takes the neck pickups out.
He takes the neck pickup out because even if it's disconnected, the magnets still pull on the strings, allowing for very minute interferences. He has said this himself when asked that same question in a video that I've watched on here. He then puts the computer fan grille on it for an aesthetic effect.
its an ESP Viper. but im pretty sure he put the stickers on himself. dont trust me on that tho, coz im only assuming from another guitar he has that he put stickers on
oh and by the way, he ripped out the stock EMG pickups and put another pickup in the bridge and that pc-cooler blend in the neck position... he has a stickered guitar with a P94, he said in some video that that is his main live-guitar, but its not that one :P could be a Seymor Duncan though
thanks and lot but i feel like i blew. hadn't played this song in years and forgot a whole lotta stuff. played the 2nd half of the solo first, botched the ending yada yada.... i'm a whiney bitch but hey.... great footage. hahahaha
Fucking awesome man! Anytime someone pays homage to a great under appreciated band like King's X it says a lot about the guys playing it. And Ty Tabor is as amazing a guitar player that ever lived. Kudos.

because he usually plays lead- and neck pickups are muddier and better for rhythm/chord work. Bridge pickups are just traditionally hotter.

Find your camera......where the hell is it?
That is like not knowing where your guitar is.
Although I have a nice Peavy Duece somewhere in this city, but have not seen it in 20 years!

my cameras so small it could be anywhere. who knows, it could be in one of my many guitar cases
