Nope I am not en engineer, but I have lots of help from a friend who is. ;-) I'm just dedicated to finishing the project and I don't like taking shortcuts. Thanks for the comment.
i ran all new wires to each component. not a stock ecu, its a standalone system.
ran wires to crank trigger sensor, water temp sensor, air intake temp sensor, and the fuel injectors, thats about it for the ecu side of things. I rewired everything in the entire car from scratch. it was a pain in the ass and i don't reccomend it.
wow man.. that shits insane... since your good with 3gs.. my 87 boggs on take off (auto) -_- what would you think it could be? feels like its got no power up until 2500 or so then it just takes off like its got turbo
wow dude.. i just noticed you dont have that dam black box on the firewall.. as well as the fuse box.. how did you pull that off? please tell me.. i want to do the same if its possible
I completely gutted the stock accord wiring. It is running nothing from the stock engine wiring harness - and therefore nothing from the stock black box. I also removed the chassis harness, and I have run all new wires to my own aftermarket switches.
I used a painless 12 circuit fuse panel to run my new wires. Actually I am not finished yet, all I have working is the stuff that will run my engine, and brake lights. Hoping to get headlights and turn signals done sooner than later. :)
thats insane man.. i give mad props for pulling that off.. im trying to relocate my batt but its a little difficult.. is 8Ga. wire ok to run my system?
Barely started tuning it at this point, but it will allow me to run 20+ psi of boost without worrying about the motor at all! ;-) I would worry running much more than 10psi with the stock PJ0 ecu and any other black magic I would have to use to tune it.
i want to sale my honda accord 1986 from lahore pakistan.

Oh well you know..... maybe? It is actually FINALLY pretty close to 'ready' to get tuned, there are only a couple small details to be fixed up.

Actually tossed a new battery in it and had it running tonight! Has some issues to address, but I am making progress. :D

wait.. if you dumped the stock harness.. how is it connected to the ecu?

it sounds wild ;)

It is an Electromotive TecGT engine management system that has no distributor. The system has coil packs that are controlled by the ECU directly.

improvements?

so its gunna be turbo? nice i wanna turbo my 87 but im having alot of problems with it.. right now im swapping out the a20a3 for a jdm
a18a1 with the a20a3 head.. and the compressions gunna be lower but she'll run ok til i get money for the b20a i want ^_^
4x4Explorer 3 years ago
what kind of distributor is that?
4x4Explorer 3 years ago
Distributorless Ignition. :) The ECU controls timing directly to a wasted spark coilpack setup.
