This was picture-esque, (so to speak) and well-done, and far above all the other "Sunday" performances I've seen in subsequent years. Brilliant. (I've seen this painting in San Francisco, on loan from the museum in Paris, and you've got the costumes and people exactly right.)
i find this interpretation to be too much like the musical. anyone watching this show choir that was unfamiliar with the musical "Sunday in the Park with George" would have absolutely no idea what was going on.
the staging isn't bad, i just find it too literal for the purposes of a show choir show. if they were producing a touring revival, fine, but it seems out of context in a set.
You have a small point, as it does seem more geared towards those who knew the musical I think it was rather creative. Instead of the usual stand in place, okay, switch spots slowly, spin kind of ballad, or even the whole inspirational jazz hands kind. NSE '02-'05 were, in my opinion, their best years with Wild Party, Too Darn Hot, and He Lives in you as HUGE highlights of the season. So yeah,it is a bit fuzzy to some, but I admire their creativity in choriography.
...Goosebumps, seriously.

I'm not really sure why that's bad.... I love the way North sings this song!!! It was one of my favorite ballads of 2004!
