Man these are legends right here. Legends! But why do they have use auto-tune when they have more soul than the present era combined. I want to like this song but I can't. It'd be like hearing Mint Condition do auto-tune.
sound just like the original artist except the for the guitar I wonder why Larry pick this song to remake it sounds the same other than Tony playing a guitar
@MrIndeeply ,,u should go listen to the original recording today,,and then post again tommorrow,,your views will change,,,itz def not the same feel,,just the same song,,itz called a remake
Disappointed to hear Larry auto tune his vocals. Auto tune and lip synch - the weaponry of suckers and losers.
Not to say that Larry is either of those...far from it...he made his bones long time ago, he ain't got shit to prove.
But to see true funk soldiers like Larry and Charlie Wilson stoop to using the same crutch that Akon and T-Pain lean on and have built their entire careers on....well that's a little disheartening.
@Paul70 @ both of u idiots ,,,,if t pain walked in front of either one of u,,u wd jocking him for a picture or ,,and an autogragh,,,and a lot of others as well,,so lay off the autotune shtt,,and come c the Barkays live,,if u want the funk of your damn life!
I just went 2 see da Kays June 2011 in St.Louis. B 4 i hit da club i had sum guud kush & sipped some Hen Dog. When i dipped inside I ordered 4 Bud Lites & this video was playing on da big screen. Da Kays are so fly & still jus as kool as they were back in 85. Larry's vocal were hot & still sounding perfect just like da records. James's bass playing was excellent. He was awesome when he played especially on Sexomatic. The lead guitarist with dreads was MUTHAFUCKA! He played like Hendrix &VanHalen
Every once in a while an artist or group does a cover of a previous hit and adds something to it that makes it better than the original. This is one of those "every once in a while's".
Like this song. Bar Kays are amazing talent. Remember dancing at house parties playing songs like Anticipation, Move Your Boogie Body, Hit and Run. Remember junior high (HJH) when students were called to the auditorium to see performances. Thanks for holding Memphis down.
The BarKays were better than this. They should be ashamed

There's absolutely nothing disappointing about this song, the Kays took it and made it sound even better.
Who cares about auto tune, the Bar-Kays can use the tech just like anyone else, especially if it's going to sound this good!
Now, where's the new album?

@JamalSlomack - I 100% agree with you brotha. I don't know what it is today. Is this the only thing we as Black people want to hear??
Is this all Black music is good for today ..Auto Tune,Samples and hearing the N word every other word??
I can hear more Soul & Funk(played with real instruments) from a WHITE cat like Jamie Lidell than from most Black artists out today.
That's a damn shame.
