Ok, when you record in FL studio, theres a background voices, the voice sounds like an opening area when you record, can you put a tut up about how to make the voice proffesional like the voices of eminem and them when you record?

alright so i get what you mean by voices now, but what settings do you use in audacity and fl studio when you say you use the settings that are shown? because when i open audacity that arrow you click in the top right corner isn't available for me to press. maybe I need a different cable to hook it up though.

ok so let me get this straight, i already have it all hooked up and i can hear the sounds when I hit the keys even though it does lag a bit. but can i not hit the keys on my keyboard and play the instruments already in the keyboard? all i can do is load a sample to the sequencer and hit the keys on my keyboard and it plays those sounds. also it just plays in real time i can't play it on my keyboard and save it on the piano roll, is it possible to make that happen? anyone who knows please reply.

so you want to record the voices coming from your keyboard? that'd need a direct audio out I believe, without any programs that would over-ride it.

Midi records the key played, not the voice accompanying it. You can record a silent midi, and put any voice you want on it later.

No want i want to try and do is play the instruments already in my keyboard, like piano, brass & organs. Not voices. So what I want to know is can I play those intruments off my keyboard while it is fl studio and have them in my song i'm making in fl studio? cause right now all i can do it use the keyboard to play strings and samples already in my fl studio packs.

voices = sounds from your keyboard. exactly what i'm saying. try connecting your keyboard directly into Audacity.

your way of recording is very unhelpful and unnecessary for having a great result with the midi keyboard without taking overhours in different programs. why don't you simply use the recording options integrated in fl software for a quicker and especially eazyer way recording sounds directly into piano roll. vid is only confusing people working with the midi keyboard for the first time, isn't it

I shared my method of recording because it's all i could use to work. I tried recording different methods that i read online and tutorials etc; but i didn't get any successful results. You don't have to follow my guide at all. I'm just an option in the world, and if others don't get shit working, then im pretty sure mine would help. See it from a point of view where a person is in need. You're sounding egotistical right now. i can do what i want that's legal + following rules.

comment was not trying to critic your vid at all. it's created well. but i think it could be confusing people starting to use a keyboard while there is also a very eazyer way. select the midi keyboard in options audio midi settings. if you can hear your played keys now, open piano roll in the selected instrument channel you want to record and press the record button next to stop/play.choose now automation&score->you will be able to see your played keys immediatly in piano roll ; )

@dazamaru Just go to OPTIONS>AUDIO SETTINGS,then go to the scroller on the left which is the direct sound properties tab,scroll the buffer to the left to around 74ms which is 3232 samples,then as you play along scroll it whther to the left or to do right untill you find it goes quite on time but avoiding the overruns.That shall solve that problem.Infact 72ms stands for 72 miliseconds of delay due to the buffering load.Either if you r working with the primary sound card or the ASIO4ALL.

@dazamaru change your buffer length, it will help, when you go to audio settings, and after you choose Asio, then click, show Asio Panel, and there will be a bar along the bottom of the screen move it up.

@zer0statusYT Definitely you can,infact ASIO just exapnds the capacity of buffering sounds by actually grabbing virtual memory from your pc,and so by disabling the output from any other application running with a soundcard such as youtube or windows media etc.You can corroborate it by using ASIO then just minimize your FL window and by trying to play something on youtube or any other type of audio file.

Not that I know of.

That is my technique.

I know that recording it as Midi is more complicated because you have to toy with more settings.

I have removed FL Studio from my computer because I didn't see myself using it anymore, so yea I can't help.
