The Survivors carry the virus, but are immune to it. They're called Carriers.

Technically they aren't four endings. Because the game ends at The Sacrifice. The game starts at No Mercy, where the pilot becomes infected and crashes, starting Crash Course. The truck from Crash Course can't drive through the thick brush and begins Death Toll. The people on the boat from Death Toll toss the survivors off, just taking their weapons and a little further starts Dead Air. The plane crashes and later starts Blood Harvest. They go through a lot of trouble for Sacrifice.

@yobobjm theres certain places, like alaska (which i'm almost certain is where they finally escaped to) where zombies cannot survive due to climate conditions. Zombies have no body heat to warm themselves and even if they were wearing appropriate clothing at the time they were infected, they would still die due to no body warmth, and no warmth whatsoever,

islands are a possibility as well seeing as zombies cant swim.
