Building the quarries at sea is pretty smart.

They can only be stopped by lava and bedrock.

If the quarry at sea hits lava, water hits the lava, and the lava goes away.

Best case scenario, the water hits the source block and the quarry continues on.

If not, then the water just keeps producing cobblestone when it hits the lava.

Basically, you've removed one of the only two obstacles standing in the way of progress/absolute destruction.

Can anyone please explain to me how one would built one of those fuel meters with the redpower lights at the nuclear reactor, I've tried the timers but they only do redstone ticks, they don't hold the power,

Also making those cobblestone farming quarrys in an actual game would be the stupidest thing to do, a quarry costs 11 diamonds, total waste of resources

@limalama5 I happened to stumble upon your comment just now. The answer depends on what you want to make. To keep something on after a timer ticks, you could connect an RS latch (to Set) so that its output stays on after the timer tick. You could even connect it to another timer (to Reset) that turns it off after a certain amount of time.
