I must say ... the original song is horrible; a tacky 90s dancy pop song, but Paradise Lost's rendition is fucking brilliant. Beautiful, and with such a climax towards the end of the song. They make it completely their own. Truly wonderful! :)

PL:s version is so damn good. who says metal has to be rough and hard all the time. PL has, for me, always been a band with feeling. They don't make their music just so everybody can like it. Sure, they've changed styles, but the PL sound has always been there. A lot of feeling, mostly of the sorrowful and doomed style. A style they control... Woe to the day when they start making happy music... a day i hope will never come... PL kicks ass, simply..

This song has a true meaning in the song. Suicide is a terrible process for the people who care for the person. I myself am having some trouble getting over my friend who had recently taken his own life. What a shame, he was a good friend.

Paradise Lost has changed its music along their carrer. They had an electronic era as well as many gothic rock bands like New Order or Joy Division. Missing sounds interesting because it's some kind of "flashback" to their electronic era (I must add: their One Second and Host albums are amazing, and they're a mix of gothic rock/synth rock) without losing In Requiem's sound.
