@bestozesto well the coliseum was used more than the pantheon there was a bigger flow of people going in and out of it, also an earthquake destroyed parts of it.

Must add, that before this great work of achitecture was build the old building on this place had to be demolished. Unfortunately it was even more greatest work of achitecture - Nero's Domus Aurea.

it was Nero's private lake, not a building. Nero's Domus Aurea is underground now.
