Abraham should not have hit the guy when he was down. Roy Jones also lost a fight like that once in very similar circumstances. Montell Griffin pulled off an oscar winning performance in that one, but as in the above case, Jones should not have laid a glove on the man that's on the canvas.

What i saw as a Direll who got rocked in the earlier round & was awarded a slip. By the time of this exchange, he was still not fully recovered and his equilibrium still off. This looks like a cringe worthy attempt at pulling of the fake unconscious twitching legs act. Irrespective of that play-acting though, the fact remains that the correct decision was rendered. Abraham should not have hit the guy when he was down. Roy Jones also lost a fight like that once in very similar circumstances. Montell Griffin pulled off an oscar winning performance in that one, but as in the above case, Jones should not have laid a glove on the man that's on the canvas.

I respect any guy that jumps in the ring, and I agree that Abraham threw the punch late, I have no doubt it hurt and Abraham should've been penalized.
But Dirrell "got the shakes" when he dropped... I've seen when fighters go down so hard that they get the shakes and they don't get up shortly after yelling and looking clear eyed. They sit on a stool, then get helped out of the arena coz they sure won't be walking straight for a while to come.

Dirrell has a lot of talent but had an awful gameplan against Froch, though had that fight been in the US he probably would have won. He was winning this fight so why did he do what he did? Question: Ward was claiming that the punch was legal, because Dirrell was on one knee. I don't know the rules, but Dirrell WAS in fact on one knee when Ward hit him. His right leg was outstretched & holding him upright.

What i saw as a Direll who got rocked in the earlier round & was awarded a slip. By the time of this exchange, he was still not fully recovered and his equilibrium still off. That punch did touch him but it grazed him. Abraham said he could not see, but then said A.D. is acting. By his smirks, i wudn't put it past him to have swung out of frustration but who knows. Doubt A.D. was acting. Don't think he wanted to win this way. He was leading the fight and had busted up A.A.'s face. Why act?
