Ah. I had this happen to me on my ROM of it. Its the Shiny Code that caused it. You see the glitched up names of the Pokemon? After awhile they will turn into Bad Eggs
There's another way of getting a bad egg without cheating. According to Bulbapedia, the bad egg can replace a pokemon that has an invalid checksum. Yes, this appears in cheating, but I got a bad egg several times without using any cheat codes.
It's called a bad egg. It only appears when you steal/ cheat your way into getting pokemon. When you get a bad egg, it means you've corrupted the save file, or worse, corrupted the game itself. When this happens, dispose yourself of the bad egg ASAP. If you let the egg hatch, your save file will be erased and you'll have to start over from the beginning of the game.
this one reason why i quit hacking. my 2nd reason is i had 2 nightmares that had freaky bad eggs in them :/ the first one was i used AR dsi on my ds and my pokemon game save file got deleted because all my PC boxes were filled with bad eggs, and my 2nd dream was the day after i got a shiny kirlia (without hacks), i was walking around in some patches of grass on pokemon platinum (WITH NO HACKS OR AR INSERTED) and found a random bad egg but i didnt catch it. it still crashed my game tho. creepy...

The Bad Egg is sort of like a purposeful MissingNo. It's meant as a "Screw You" to players who try to cheat in Third Gen Pokemon games. It messes with the game, you can't release it, and if you try to make it hatch the game freezes. If it does eventually hatch on its own (which is rare), it'll only become another Bad Egg. You also can't deposit it in the PC or take items it has. It can corrupt your primary save and cause time-based events to stop working as well.

Hey people. Bad Eggs are not a glitch. They were purposely put in by Nintendo because they hate hackers. If you get a bad egg in your PC storage system, just leave it and don't do anything with it, and you should be fine...and also, if you've used hacks, don't take the egg from that old lady in Lavaridge town. That could also hatch into a bad egg....Yes, an egg coming out of an egg. Ironic, huh?
@Utau05loid and if you try and somehow manage to get it to hatch, the game will freeze, no joke, that why when I get a bad egg, I immediately shut the game off and load the save file again, which always returns me to the point before I got the bad egg.

i think if the bad egg destroys your game, then its not a glitch. if it was a glitch it would be on only one game, not all of them. if it was a glitch, it wouldnt have a name: baddegg. it would probably be named random letters and numbers. nintendo put it in there to destroy your game so you give them more money buying new games

A bad egg is an egg that is created from a faulty code. it can't be hatched, or released (or even moved in my experiences with it) The only way I know of to get rid of it is make sure you didn't save the game with the codes and shut off the game, then turn it on again and it should be gone.... but those shiny legendaries would have been gone too...

It's strange that they are actually named 'Bad EGG' in-game. It suggests that the game makers put them there deliberately. If they were pure and honest glitches, surely the name, profile, appearance etc would be more glitchy looking like other glitch Pokémon out there?
Mine was worse. I was in the battle tower and then my game froze. I soft ressetted and it said my save file was corrupted. I then looked in my party and saw MY LEVEL 100 ARCTICUNO WAS A BAD EGG!!! I have never used cheat systems in my life and it pissed me off so much. Why did this happen?

Heres the lowdown: When you try to obtain a pokemon that doesnt exist using cheats you will get missingno, short for missing number. Same with eggs, attemp to get pokemon that don't exist in egg form, and the game will replace it with a bad egg. They can hatch into pokemon of any kind, including legendaries, leaving one in your box will cause them to "take over" your other pokemon, replacing them with bad eggs. They can also delete saved data, so get rid of them asap.
Bad eggs can be hatched, I have a video somewhere of me hatching it. I put a pokemon in daycare to watch the stepts. Took me about 67,000 steps to hatch badegg. Badegg turns into a random pokemon. I got lucky on mine and ended up witha lvl 12 bagon shiny.
They can be, but what I have also found is that the eggs hatch within, 20-150k steps. (recent one from yesterday took 137k steps)
You can get crap pokemon, and good ones. Just gotta be lucky, now my friend next door got himself a ? pokemon, which is 100% worhless and you cannon rremove. I'd say overall it can and cannont be good.
You don't want more then 5 at a time, as they can be a hassle.
ummm... bad eggs ruin your game and can corrupt your save file, and make ALL of your pokemon turn into bad eggs. Yeah they hatch into a random pokemon, bad eggs are corrupt pokemon data and the pokemon you are hatching are probably dangerous for your save file and game, they are probably all glitched. Bad eggs are not good.

Um...I never cheated, so I don't really know what to do, but try not to cheat anymore and serach for videos that tell you how to get rid of it. It comes from cheating, the BadEgg. It's scary and makes your game....well, break.

Seeing as I can't find anyone who says what a bad egg is.
The game has a number of rules in it and if one of these rules are broken a bad egg appears.
A bad egg can be deleted by replacing it with a normal pokemon.

i think if the bad egg destroys your game, then its not a glitch. if it was a glitch it would be on only one game, not all of them. if it was a glitch, it wouldnt have a name: baddegg. it would probably be named random letters and numbers. nintendo put it in there to destroy your game so you give them more money buying new games

A bad egg is an egg that is created from a faulty code. it can't be hatched, or released (or even moved in my experiences with it) The only way I know of to get rid of it is make sure you didn't save the game with the codes and shut off the game, then turn it on again and it should be gone.... but those shiny legendaries would have been gone too...

kk its like this but im not sure theres diffrerent kinds of bad eggs some completly eff up your game some just sit there.. i caught a trainers growlithe in leaf green "because you cant get them in LG" went back to the center and it said bad egg it diddnt delete my pokemon i jusst put it in box 14 alone ive only been plying for about 20 mins seince this happend so hopefully im ok ...

It's strange that they are actually named 'Bad EGG' in-game. It suggests that the game makers put them there deliberately. If they were pure and honest glitches, surely the name, profile, appearance etc would be more glitchy looking like other glitch Pokémon out there?

Mine was worse. I was in the battle tower and then my game froze. I soft ressetted and it said my save file was corrupted. I then looked in my party and saw MY LEVEL 100 ARCTICUNO WAS A BAD EGG!!! I have never used cheat systems in my life and it pissed me off so much. Why did this happen?

"A bad egg is a phenomenon present in the Generation III and Generation IV Pokémon games that results from a corruption of Pokémon data so that the checksum does not match up with the data's calculations.
Bad eggs are not really Pokémon eggs, and may possibly never have been, but instead the default message returned by the game if the checksum is off (which happens only if data is altered badly). Bad eggs rarely hatch and cannot be released, merely taking up space."

Heres the lowdown: When you try to obtain a pokemon that doesnt exist using cheats you will get missingno, short for missing number. Same with eggs, attemp to get pokemon that don't exist in egg form, and the game will replace it with a bad egg. They can hatch into pokemon of any kind, including legendaries, leaving one in your box will cause them to "take over" your other pokemon, replacing them with bad eggs. They can also delete saved data, so get rid of them asap.

Bad eggs can be hatched, I have a video somewhere of me hatching it. I put a pokemon in daycare to watch the stepts. Took me about 67,000 steps to hatch badegg. Badegg turns into a random pokemon. I got lucky on mine and ended up witha lvl 12 bagon shiny.

They can be, but what I have also found is that the eggs hatch within, 20-150k steps. (recent one from yesterday took 137k steps)
You can get crap pokemon, and good ones. Just gotta be lucky, now my friend next door got himself a ? pokemon, which is 100% worhless and you cannon rremove. I'd say overall it can and cannont be good.
You don't want more then 5 at a time, as they can be a hassle.

ummm... bad eggs ruin your game and can corrupt your save file, and make ALL of your pokemon turn into bad eggs. Yeah they hatch into a random pokemon, bad eggs are corrupt pokemon data and the pokemon you are hatching are probably dangerous for your save file and game, they are probably all glitched. Bad eggs are not good.

Um...I never cheated, so I don't really know what to do, but try not to cheat anymore and serach for videos that tell you how to get rid of it. It comes from cheating, the BadEgg. It's scary and makes your game....well, break.
