  • very nice video.i ended up buying this light partly because of your vid! I was wondering if you could tell me what remix version of michael jackson is that? Thats the coolest version ever! Thanks

  • i got mine from guitar center in Austin TX and its really good but the bad thing about it, it has a blind spot right in the middle of the dance floor might want to use a light for the middle dance floor but there alot of design on the vue and works really good with fog machine

  • cheers dude :), i havent seen the helaxed light though........i'll take a look at it :)

  • Just like the Marvelled really, but a motional version of it.

  • Does the VUE VI have a strobe effect in master slave mode?? (without using a DMX controller)

  • Most lighting will be able to do a strobe when using a CA8/CA9 Controller...but I can not guarantee anything, as I don't currently own the light.

  • Hi Matt, I have just watched your videos for Vue 6 and Impossibled - which in your opinion is best? taking into account cost, build quality etc - Thanks

  • hi,

both lights are extremely good,& are from 2 of the best known quality lighting manufacturers.

If you are wanting all round coverage ie floor, ceileng & walls then go for the vue6.

The impossibled is the same light as the Vue3,but you will need two of these to get the same coverage.

I would get 1 vue 6 and 1 vue 3 then you have the best of both worlds

I would recommend getting them both demo'd in your local dj gear shop so you can see them "in the flesh" so as to speak.

    cheers

  • Thanks for the helpful and detailed reply

  • The Impossibleds are much larger, brighter, as there are more clusters at the back. So definately the Imposse, (I own 2)

But I'd definately get the Vue 6 as a secondry light, without hesitating...no questions asked.

You will not realise how BRIGHT the Imposse is, and how Massive it is until you actually see it in action at a proper party.

    I did, and bought 2.

  • Cheers - I actually bought a REVO 3 in the end - which is pretty much identical to the impossibled

  • Apparently Prolight (Acme) manafacture it and have sold the rights to ADJ.

But I have the original trade crete, as I ordered 2, and it says 'Made in China'.

The Real name is : LED 777

  • Some body told us. ;)

Very nice video, and some good information on the Vue VI

  • cheers guys :)

  • i like this...a lot looked at the mystic and the chavet version but that red cross puts me off...to be honest ....this has that nice led effect like my vue 2 but multipled as always matt great vid....

  • Cheers buddy :)

  • wow i was going to get the ADJ Mystic as my center light put now that i see this... i dont know wich one to get now wich one is better?

  • hi buddy, they are both really good lights, you are best off getting them demo'd to you in your local DJ gear retailer, and see which one you prefer. I havent seen a mystic in real life yet.....only in vids , so cant really advise :)

    cheers

  • im trying to decide between the vue 6 and vue3 and you have just sealed the deal for me, thanks mate!

  • no probs :)

  • got the vue 6, now the bloody motor wont turn. so gotta send it back, but have been really impressed with the other few chauvet led lights i have bought, expecially the ELAN, would you be keen on doing a vid on that?

  • I would do one if I had one buddy :)

  • NIce vid...are you running this in DMX mode? If so I notice in the DMX value table it shows you can run the pods in White, Cyan and something else I was wondering if the patterns on the floor are these colors also? Thanks for your help.

  • Hi Mike/Rachael,

I was actually running the vue vi in sound to light mode for the demo. I havent as of yet had chance to link the light up to DMX. However I am doing a video demo of the chauvet DMX55 controller in the next few days so I'll hook it up for that.

    Cheers

    M

  • Hi Mat.....im in that mode now after getting my first leds revo3 and i was after a revo 2 but they didnt have stock so i got a chauvet vue2 except for the dip switches i like the vue2...a bit more strobe like in the display and the guys at adj are not going to like it i like the display on this more than the mystic..but its totally personal taste i know adj have another one of this type of design with more blue leds in....anyway great job! stay intouch! JE

  • Chauvet and their dip switches, My DMX 2.0 Scanner has them, it's a bit of a pest.

  • Just taking a look on other thoughts on this.

I was on the waiting list for these for months. Like you said, had real issues getting some. When I finally did manage it on the release date to the UK, I could only get 2

Do you know why Chauvet didn't want to release to the UK? It's far the best of the Vue series and I even say hands down on the elan

  • I really don't know but chauvetlighting have their own you tube channel so I guess you could ask them direct. If you look at my subscriptions you will find a link to their channel.

  • Thanks for posting that! I have been researching and trying to put together a light rig and went out and picked up a couple of these after watching this video. it was really helpful!

  • Cheers, hope you enjoy the lights buddy, I bet two of them will look awsome !

  • I think to be honest, these LED lights are all the same. The bloke who takes the bottle of lemonade and bisuits to a venue has one, cant remember his name. Username "Jearly..."

    He's got a Revo 3, similar device.

  • Just go to your local DJ gear retailer, demand a demo of a few of these lights...... see it for yourself.

  • HOW DO YOU PUT TEXT ON YOUR VIDS?

  • do you mean on the vid itself ?

  • Very good review. How well does this light project into the audience, if facing forward?

  • anywher from 5 - 15ft depending on how you angle it , I usually try to get it near as poss to my setup so it gives a 360 degree swirling effect around the rig

  • What do you mean by a 360 degree swirling effect around the rig? Are you facing it down, pointing it toward the floor from your truss, so that it projects all around your setup, hence, behind, to the sides and infront?

  • pointing it forward so it circles just in front of the rig on the floor but on the ceiling its about 10 ft away..... its all bout angling it correctly, i suspect when chauvet launched the vue vi they originally intendeded it to be a permanent fixture light facing down for a club or something , but it can also be used as a v good horizontally faced mobile rig light. lol
