Well by my standards I wouldnt eat one but the African Americans and the Vietnamese have been known to eat them.Only way I would bring them home for would be buried in the rose garten.I will eat walleye and catfish and of course cropie.But not out of this lake shown here.This lake has been mismanaged and has lost alot of wonderful things it once had.

yeah i have given African Americans and Vietnamese both carp from the Ohio river they wanted them i tried to explain the river is polluted and only sauger and walleye were recommended in small quantities only a few times a year they didn't seem to care oh also the Vietnamese took shad that i had for catfish bait also shad are way dirtier than carp cut a shad in half and they are full of mud and they stink also

They are common carp, the torpedo shaped ones are called "wildies" and they are very hard fighting natural carp. Not the fast growing "fat" carp you get in france etc.

Yes. Russian call the wild carp "Sazan". It's very fun to fish after them, especially in rivers like Volga. Cheers!

@whatafuckinghero the difference is where the carp inhabits, they're a more muscly fish in rivers but the more distinct carp shape from lakes, they tend to be heavier in lakes too.

Nope its not Sicily its a small town called fritch and about a 30 min. drive from Amarillo Texas.

These are wild carp and most are not really eatable like the carp you fish for in europe. Instead of an oval shape carp that you know these are a torpedo shape.These carp gather at this spot every year where children feed them constanly.They are far from sick and fun to catch most about 8 to 12 pounds.

LOLOL wild carp are not really eatable? You need an education my friend, Wild carp were the ORIGINAL carp stocked as a food source by monks 100s and 100s of years ago lol They were stocked purely as a food source! Wild carp not eatable lol thats a gooden.
