  • I enjoyed looking at the different styles and I was wondering if the reed used is common because I need a new one?

  • I do pirate living history in Virginia(see my comment on spy glass video) this skull and crossbone pipe would be a nice piece to use, but I think just about any of them would be great, considering pirates didnt really follow any fashion code. haha. would these pipes be suitable for such a style? I'm not too sure from any research. I have seen engravings of Henry Avery, Edward Lowe, and most famous pipe smoker,Thomas Tew using a pipe just like these.

  • Was it common for the soldiers and commanders in the Continental Army to smoke pipes while coming up with strategies to win the war? It may seem like a silly question but when I was young I started reading about Colonial Times and the American Revolution. I had developed a mental picture of commanders writing letters and drawing up strategies, The generals would sit at their desks in their tents light their pipes and plan for the upcoming battles. Thanks! DeltaBravo1216

  • when you say "later style'' on the ribed style how late?

  • @longhunter96 It can be very difficult to really nail down exactly without doing some research, but 1820 is probably a safe date.

  • Thank ya!
