@UFCMania98@whatever666666666 I would keep Karlsson, Kessel is a great player, but our blue line is getting old. Phillips, Kuba and Gonchar will all be gone within 5 years, leaving Karlsson, Lee, Cowen, etc. to man the blue line.
Wouldn't say Karlsson-Filatov just yet. He was kept in the worst managed team in the league. If Filatov pans out, he might become a winger Spezza wanted with Butler, ever since Heatley has left the team. I can easily see Filatov netting 60-70 points in his rookie season if he meets expectations, and possibly over a point-per-game in the future.
@GoSensGo9165 "more older"? Here you are calling this guy dumb, without even an iota of knowledge on how to utilize your very own language; the same one you've used your whole life. "And PK is older". You're welcome moron. I'd say don't start your sentences with "and", but judging by your lack of periods, you don't even know what one is in the first place. I'll leave that one to your teachers:)
@aporchmonkey haha its funny because its not like im in school right now giveing a flying fuck on what i type here your just one of those dumb faggits who will use my spelling mistakes has a diss and think i actually giveing a flying fuck haahha dumbass, can u corrrect all my spelling mistakes right now?
@GoSensGo9165 No but it's not like you're on the internet making yourself look educated either. You type like a moron, I can only assume your phonetics and language follow suit. I could correct all your mistakes, but i corrected you last time and you evidently didn't learn anything; so why try to teach an old dumb dog a new trick?
@GoSensGo9165 I already won. I keep coming back here because I'm having a conversation with zhaomayne about the state of his franchise. You just can't take the fact that I fucking owned you and you know it; and that you have absolutely no comeback except for- " Insert multiple swear words here". Good luck with your poor command of the english language, hope it gets you places
Hell yeah! beautiful play, sens got a good draft there. i wish he could joined the other badass swedish defenseman for the redwings. he should be learning from the best, Nick Lidstrom.
that was all Spezza's win. every hater needs to realize the little things that Spezza bring to the table. What kind of fans boo their franchize player. wake up ottawa
Karlsson just makes it work, hes not big, hes not extremely fast, he doesnt have a triple digit slapshot, hes literally nothing you want in a defenseman yet somehow every day he makes you want him more and more
dont get me wrong hes hands down my favorite player before everyone starts voting this down and whatnot
@anotherdumbvideo he is crazy fast probably his best asset, well that and his hands and i know he dosent have a triple digit clapper but he has a great shot
He is EXTREMELY fast. I have seen him against a forward who was ALREADY AT FULL SPEED when he reached the center line when Karlsson took off. Skating BACKWARDS, he never let the guy pass him and stripped him off the puck.
I would put him as the 4th or 5th best player drafted that year. He had a great year as an undersized rookie, lets see what he does in a couple of years!
@StPierreviaKO he is definitely not the 4th or 5th best player drafted in 2008, anyone who says that is obviously a desperate sens fan, He is more like the 13th, but he is still good
@huzaifah123 Out of people who have played significant time in the NHL I meant. Stamkos, Doughty, Myers, Filatov, Bogosian, Schenn/Karlsson. There are certainty people who could become better than Karlsson but until they play in the NHL and put up 26 points in 60 games plus PPG in the playoffs I think Karlsson should be ranked higher. Pietrangelo is one that I can see being better.
@huzaifah123 Karlsson will never be mistaken as a great defensive defenceman but he is relied upon to provide skill from the back end. +/- isn't always reliable as he could get punished for a bad play he isn't involved in. He had a better +/- than Bogosian but I don't think he is better, he was just on a better team.
@StPierreviaKO no, both defense men are always involved in a bad play, if they are not then it's there fault for being out of position or not helping the other partner (I'm a defense men), since Karlsson is -2 he is not helping the SENS. Players like Doughty (+20) or even Schenn (+2) are the true stars of the draft. You have to understand +/- is always reliable for defense men. You have to compare a defense men's +/- with there team and games played for there ranking. Karlsson>Bogosian in 2010
@huzaifah123 I watched his games this year, he was horrible at the beginning of the year, he didn't look like he belonged in the NHL. Even near the end of the year he looked bad sometimes but his role on the team isn't to be great defensively, he provides skill on the backend. I also have reservations about a defenceman deserving every minus they get. What about Gonchar's pylon antics in game 7 of the Semifinals? Surely his partner didn't earn the minus. I am happy with what he did this year.
@StPierreviaKO I understand what you're saying and respect your opinion, but my last post is reality and is something to show you to not look at defensemen's points and especially when you're comparing them to other players.
@huzaifah123 Thank you for the understanding. Maybe he isn't going to end up as one of the top 10 best players from that draft but I am happy with him and I think he has a chance to be really good. Despite the -2 I think he helps the Senators a lot and his pros out weigh his cons. Nice talking puck with you :)
@huzaifah123 +/- is *always* reliable for defenders? I'm unconvinced. If Vesa Toskala lets in a goal from 200 feet out or any goalie fails to make a routine save, it's not the defenders' fault. When Brian McCabe scores into his own net, it's not his partner's fault. If a scramble draw at the circle results in one of the forwards scoring, it's not because the defenders did something right. +/- is a team statistic.
Or are you suggesting that Jeff Schultz should have won the Norris last season?
@Asquaredx2 how can the defenders let the puck get cleared on a powerplayer on vesa's goa? how can the other defense-man let the puck go so near the goalie that mecabe bats it in? sorry, but my statement stands. I also said" You have to compare a defense men's +/- with their current team and games played for there ranking.
@huzaifah123 Pucks are going to get cleared on powerplays. Goalies are going to have shots at them. They need to make routine saves. If they don't it's not the defenceman's fault. I mean, how are the forwards not also at fault for letting the puck get to the point on the PP rather than scoring? In your mindset, when something goes wrong technically everyone is at fault.
Watch Dan Boyle's own goal against Colorado and then tell me how Murray is equally at fault there, as the +/- would suggest.
@huzaifah123 My point is that's ridiculous. I mean, technically a moth flapping its wings in Africa influenced the play. A player stepping over the bench as a goal is scored gets a minus but that doesn't mean he's as responsible as the defenceman who scored in his own net, which +/- suggests.
What you're saying is that Jeff Schultz and Mark Fistric are best players, or at least defencemen, in the world. That's not even reductio ad absurdem; it's actually what your argument boils down to.
Were you even listening? I said +/- is always reliable for D-Men, it's not possible for a D-man to get on the ice and a goal is scored right away. Why would you even say Jeff Schultlz is the best D-man in the world? don't you mean in the NHL? Not all the best player are in the NHL you know. Also, no, Jeff Schultz nor Mark Fistric are the best D-men in the NHL, it's actually Nicklas Lidstrom and Chris Proger as their +/- rating shows
@huzaifah123 "You have to rank defencemen by their +/-, compared to their team." Fistric was +27 on a team where the next best player was +8. Pronger only had +22 and another Flyer (incidentally his partner, which says something) was +19. In your bizarre, +/- is the be-all and end-all analysis, Fistric is better than Pronger. Anyone with a brain knows that's not true, which is why you have to *watch* players to judge them, and if you watch Karlsson you can tell the kid is awesome.
@Asquaredx2 I was comparing their +/- throughout their career, anyone with a brain should know not to compare players with just 1 season. Last year Schultz got 13 and Fistric got -1, which is why I said Pronger and Lidstrom are the best. Karlsson got 5 goals in 60 games and a -5 rating, I don't see what's so awesome about him, but he will develop
@huzaifah123 plus minus normally fluctuates with the state of the team not the player. Take a look at the yearly plus minus leaders and they all play for top tier teams. Defencemen are not rated on their plus minus either. take Dan Boyle he's a career minus 36 but he's also a 2 time all-star, stanley cup champion, and olympic gold medalist. seems Steve Yzerman wasn't bothered by his plus minus and i would take his word over yours in a heartbeat.
@KimbleProductions The teams are top tiers because of the defencemen with good +/-. BTW, most of Boyles minuses came from 2007. Why would Yzerman look at career stats instead of recent stats?
Do you still feel like that after a year? And no, I'm not a Sen's fan, I am a hockey fan. I watch any team with a great player or players. Just started to follow the Sens recently on Center Ice, because of Karlsson.
@StPierreviaKO Stamkos, Doughty, Bogosian, Pietrangelo, Schenn, Filatov, Wilson, bailey, Myers, Eberle, Ennis, Carlson, Stepan. And he is the 4th or 5th best in that draft?
You're fucking retarded, no question. Along with the 23 morons who agree with you.
@Dutchling88 Clouston is not angry, he's as calm as they come.
He won't be even in the top 5, there's 5 for sure that will be and already are better. Factor in the ones I may have forgotten, and he'll sniff somewhere in the bottom half of the top ten. If you put him in overall with ALL players, he's falling pretty far down that list.
@GoSensGo9165 I'm a tool. Come on buddy. Big talk behind a screen. You clearly live in Ottawa. Let's meet somewhere and see you run your mouth then. Pick the time and place faggot. He also had the WORST +/- out of all them, a nice and very respectable -30; and probably played the most minutes on AVG out of all them. You're truly just a moronic bias Sens fan with statements like that. Go ahead and cheer for your pathetic team, don't be an idiot regarding every other one.
@GoSensGo9165 Oh and I'll see you at the season opener vs the Wild. I'll be the guy with the Heatley Wild jersey on with my friend who'll be wearing a Sharks Heatley. You'll see us somewhere pounding a faggot like you, come say hello:)
@aporchmonkey karlsson was playing on arguably the worst team in the nhl last year with the worst defense and goaltending until anderson came along. He is better than pk and probably is one of the best of the 08 draft. Karlsson is better than pietrangelo, filatov, wilson, boedker, boychuk, beach, bogosian, bailey, teubert and hodgson. Those are all players taken higher than him. 15-10=5. so he is the 5th best player from the draft. Also if your going to pound a "faggot". one word=security :D
@zhaomayne Have you ever taken time to actually look at the 08' draft? Half of those guys haven't even been given a chance yet. Beach, Gustafsson, Colborne, Gardiner, Cuma, Nemisz, McCollum and probably a few more have played ZERO NHL games. Just because this guy gets placed on an NHL team, gets ALL the minutes and manages to not pull a Wade Redden in the point category he's the best player? The guy has offensive skill, I've never knocked him at all, I simple try to make you Send fans realize.
You over establish a guy because he's been placed on YOUR team due to organizational deficiencies. I watched the guy play 21 games last season and seen him get beat numerous times ALL ON HIS OWN, without the rest of the team sucking for him. On top of the top five that are truly better than him, you also have Wilson and Hodgson; and Del Zotto, Eberle, Ennis and Carlson drafted before and after Karlsson, respectively. You're essentially saying he's better than Eberle? Even you know that's wrong.
@aporchmonkey karlsson is better than del zotto. Hodgson has been injured a lot which has plagued the early part of his career, he didnt show up in the playoffs and to be honest i only see him being a potential 2nd line centre. Ennis and eberle i'll give them the nod i forgot about him. carlson and karlsson are equal to balance it out, carlson is better defensively and physically but karlsson has better offensive skills and speed. Wilson isnt better, overall karlsson is 7th/8th
@zhaomayne Realize I just made you agree with me. First he was top 4 or 5, now you say 7 or 8. Carlson is not his equal. Carlson can play O and can actually play D, unlike Karlsson. At this point, there's no way you can say he's better. Once again, you're basing shit simply on points. Listen, I realize you're a Sens fan, and that causes a HUGE deficiency to your hockey knowledge, but it's okay, I can help you the same way i help the other morons in this city.
@aporchmonkey haha dude i've been watching hockey for a long time, im biased yes but 7th is only 2 spots from 5th so it was close. I wasnt always a sens fan but i will agree most of us are biased and unknowledged. But you gotta admit one thing......
rundblad is fucking awesome :D and yes i kinda do agree with you karlsson isnt 5th but 7th 8th range.
@zhaomayne At least you know most of the fans here are RETARDED. Rundblad is a solid prospect, but to me he's not as good as Cowen. That's your guys' true stud and has been since you drafted him. He should be on the team next year playing first pairing minutes to get used to the bigs. Unless Andy plays like Roy and Alfie scores 35 again, this season will be a wash for you guys. No sense of keeping him in the minors to play top line minutes when you can give him that opportunity in the show.
@aporchmonkey i really hate when hockey sites rank kadri above cowen because he's on the leafs. Kadri will have a shit career, he's to small and will easily get knocked off the puck but he is skilled. Cowen is a safe bet because he's huge and mobile with some scoring upside. I really like rundblad though, he's projection is high risk high reward and he broke a record in the SEL league as a 20 year old.
@aporchmonkey I never cheered for the leafs or canadiens before but i dislike them, but now since im an sens fan i despise them. i was a pittsburgh fan before mainly cuz how awesome lemieux was but then i moved to ottawa and then they pretty much grew on me when we had the CASH line and i've been supporting them since. Im still a pittsburgh fan but ottawa is my fav now. I thought you didnt like the sens mainly cuz your gonna wear a wild jersey and your friend is going to wear a sharks jersey.
@zhaomayne You thought correct. In my closet is an Isle Yashin jersey, a Chara Bruins, a Heatley Sharks and a Heatley wild is on the way. I hate this franchise, from ownership through management; the players to the fans. Only in Scotiabank will you get someone stare at you while you"re wearing other colors, only to have them walk away and call you a "fag" or something 25 feet behind you. At least in other places, they'll do that to your face. When I say "we" I mean us as a city, not a fanbase.
@zhaomayneI guess technically I support them too, as I go to games; but I hate knowing when I buy tickets that fat ugly fuck Melynk is getting my hard earned cash. yes, he saved the team. Beyond that, he's a piece that sits in the caribbean from his high horse and watches a sport he had no interest in 8 years ago. For him, it's PURELY about cash. If I ever came within twenty feet of him in real life, I would punch him:). BTW seriously, way to be an adult on YT and actually have a CONVERSATION:)
@aporchmonkey haha yeah no problem, i dont like melnyk either because of the reasons you stated. The only reason we hired Dave cameron as an assistant coach is cuz melnyk is also the owner of the st michael majors where cameron was the head coach. overall this season we will miss the playoffs and hopefully get a lottery pick but when its all said and done we will kick ass in the future with our prospect pool. Im still wondering though are you gonna wear a heatly jersey back in ottawa
@zhaomayne I wear it all the time. I went to a Panthers game last year and wore it. I saw a guy at the same game wearing the same jersey. I wear it on the streets and cars honk and yell at me, one guy almost got into a crash because he was too worried about yelling at me. You guys will have a lottery pick more than likely; OBV anything can happen, but that team is VERY FAR from being good on the ice at the NHL level. Offensive stars always rank above defenseman, even if they themselves can
@zhaomayne play a little O. Always will be like that. It's hard to read into those sites, as one guy will rate goal scoring more valuable than all around game. Personally, I like to give players a 3 or 5 year window(3 for F, 5 for D and G), before truly judging them. They got to have time to grow into their bodies and become men, skill notwithstanding. Kadris O upside is off the chart, one of the best not in the NHL; but the guy still doesn't show that hustle getting back, and more importantly,
@aporchmonkey the hustle to stay with the play while defending. That's why I love my guy we got in the first round that year, Duchene. Regardless of what happened in the attacking zone, kid hustles back and plays the puck like not a lot of other kids do. It's special to watch. I feel blessed we were able to get him. That whole draft is EXTREMELY good, one of the best ever. Cizikas, Eakin, Barrie, Clifford, O'Reilly; all taken PAST the first round. That's some pretty nice talent.
@aporchmonkey ok i was a little harsh on kadri because i hate the leafs but he does have very very good offesne but very limited defense and he has a small frame. but in a few years he should bulk up so it will be harder to knock him off the puck. So bro who are your fav teams?
@zhaomayne If you can't tell from my Duchene comment, it's the Avalanche. I bleed burgundy, not red. Kadri's upside on the offensive side of the game is incredible, I just think it's going to take him longer than people think to improve in his own end. I hope he proves me wrong as I like the kid and enjoy seeing someone of foreign blood play the game at a high level; it helps the game grow, which is always best for everyone.
@zhaomayne I tend to like almost every team in the league to a degree, minus the Sens, Wings and the Fagnuck diving squad. I watch a lot of players through junior and sometime midget prior to that, and I start to develop likes to kids through that, irrelevant of the team who drafts them. That's how I really like Cowen, he was one of my favourite junior players in Spokane. Him, Spurgeon and Beach were special to watch in 09-10. The kid plays the game the right way, all the time.
@zhaomayne For me to not like a guy simply based on the team that drafted him would be - 1) DUMB; and 2) make me look like an idiot who truly isn't a hockey fan, just a one team jock riding loser. If my team isn't playing, I still watch the NHL, every dang night of the regular season. No one comes even close to my Avs, but if I had to pick my second favourite team would be the Penguins(Yes I like Sid, but I liked them before too) or Winnipeg now because they're the only Canadian team I dont hate
@aporchmonkey aight then i'm #1 which is dumb, i still like the pens and i also liked carolina but sens are just the top of my list. But seriously though as a sens fan, we all hate the leafs like hell you gotta understand that man. We just hate them but i will say kadri can be VERY good but he needs to bulk up to get there.
@zhaomayne I know you guys hate ALL Leafs, mention one and your blood starts to boil. I live here, remember. I know the whole rivalry, go to a few games each year against TOR, MTL and BOS.. It's like me and the Canucks; I fucking hate Ryan Kesler, but for me to say he has no talent or lacks this etc. would be retarded and make me also look retarded as anyone who knows one thing about hockey can see he plays the game right. Get what I'm saying? I feel the same about Alfie, as much as I hate him.
@aporchmonkey i honestly dont like alfie either and he's on the decline but when he was playing with heatley and spezza he was dynamite with them. I dont really think alfredsson is a good leader but about duchene, i love that guy. Speedy and dynamic i think he will be very good for the avalanche for the years to come. I think landeskog can either turn out to be Iginla 2.0 but the very worst case scenario a 3rd line grinder.
@aporchmonkey ok fine then he's 6th best then :D, hope that makes you happy but im not biased. Karlsson is a very smart hockey player but he's just undersized which is a physical barrier.
@GoSensGo9165 Wow, points. You're a moron. You must be a "boxscore" fan. Go home on your bandwagon please, no one likes half ass hockey fans who have no knowledge or respect for the game; someone such as yourself for instance. SENS SUCK.

I also have reservations about a defenceman deserving every minus they get. What about Gonchar's pylon antics in game 7 of the Semifinals? Surely his partner didn't earn the minus. I am happy with what he did this year.
StPierreviaKO 1 year ago
@StPierreviaKO I understand what you're saying and respect your opinion, but my last post is reality and is something to show you to not look at defensemen's points and especially when you're comparing them to other players.
huzaifah123 1 year ago
@huzaifah123 Thank you for the understanding. Maybe he isn't going to end up as one of the top 10 best players from that draft but I am happy with him and I think he has a chance to be really good. Despite the -2 I think he helps the Senators a lot and his pros out weigh his cons. Nice talking puck with you :)
StPierreviaKO 1 year ago
@huzaifah123 +/- is *always* reliable for defenders? I'm unconvinced. If Vesa Toskala lets in a goal from 200 feet out or any goalie fails to make a routine save, it's not the defenders' fault. When Brian McCabe scores into his own net, it's not his partner's fault. If a scramble draw at the circle results in one of the forwards scoring, it's not because the defenders did something right. +/- is a team statistic.
Or are you suggesting that Jeff Schultz should have won the Norris last season?
Asquaredx2 1 year ago
@Asquaredx2 how can the defenders let the puck get cleared on a powerplayer on vesa's goa? how can the other defense-man let the puck go so near the goalie that mecabe bats it in? sorry, but my statement stands. I also said" You have to compare a defense men's +/- with their current team and games played for there ranking.
huzaifah123 1 year ago
@huzaifah123 Pucks are going to get cleared on powerplays. Goalies are going to have shots at them. They need to make routine saves. If they don't it's not the defenceman's fault. I mean, how are the forwards not also at fault for letting the puck get to the point on the PP rather than scoring? In your mindset, when something goes wrong technically everyone is at fault.
Watch Dan Boyle's own goal against Colorado and then tell me how Murray is equally at fault there, as the +/- would suggest.
Asquaredx2 1 year ago
@Asquaredx2 you just said it "when something goes wrong technically everyone is at fault" that's how +/- is always reliable
huzaifah123 1 year ago
@huzaifah123 My point is that's ridiculous. I mean, technically a moth flapping its wings in Africa influenced the play. A player stepping over the bench as a goal is scored gets a minus but that doesn't mean he's as responsible as the defenceman who scored in his own net, which +/- suggests.
What you're saying is that Jeff Schultz and Mark Fistric are best players, or at least defencemen, in the world. That's not even reductio ad absurdem; it's actually what your argument boils down to.
Asquaredx2 1 year ago
Were you even listening? I said +/- is always reliable for D-Men, it's not possible for a D-man to get on the ice and a goal is scored right away. Why would you even say Jeff Schultlz is the best D-man in the world? don't you mean in the NHL? Not all the best player are in the NHL you know. Also, no, Jeff Schultz nor Mark Fistric are the best D-men in the NHL, it's actually Nicklas Lidstrom and Chris Proger as their +/- rating shows
huzaifah123 1 year ago
@huzaifah123 "You have to rank defencemen by their +/-, compared to their team." Fistric was +27 on a team where the next best player was +8. Pronger only had +22 and another Flyer (incidentally his partner, which says something) was +19. In your bizarre, +/- is the be-all and end-all analysis, Fistric is better than Pronger. Anyone with a brain knows that's not true, which is why you have to *watch* players to judge them, and if you watch Karlsson you can tell the kid is awesome.
Asquaredx2 1 year ago
@Asquaredx2 I was comparing their +/- throughout their career, anyone with a brain should know not to compare players with just 1 season. Last year Schultz got 13 and Fistric got -1, which is why I said Pronger and Lidstrom are the best. Karlsson got 5 goals in 60 games and a -5 rating, I don't see what's so awesome about him, but he will develop
huzaifah123 1 year ago
@huzaifah123 plus minus normally fluctuates with the state of the team not the player. Take a look at the yearly plus minus leaders and they all play for top tier teams. Defencemen are not rated on their plus minus either. take Dan Boyle he's a career minus 36 but he's also a 2 time all-star, stanley cup champion, and olympic gold medalist. seems Steve Yzerman wasn't bothered by his plus minus and i would take his word over yours in a heartbeat.
KimbleProductions 1 year ago
@KimbleProductions The teams are top tiers because of the defencemen with good +/-. BTW, most of Boyles minuses came from 2007. Why would Yzerman look at career stats instead of recent stats?
huzaifah123 1 year ago
@huzaifah123
Do you still feel like that after a year? And no, I'm not a Sen's fan, I am a hockey fan. I watch any team with a great player or players. Just started to follow the Sens recently on Center Ice, because of Karlsson.
starborg9 4 days ago
@starborg9 Last year Karlsson's +/- was -30. This year it's +14. Last year the sens were 26th in the standings. This year they are 11th.

@StPierreviaKO i swear if ottawa doesnt hold on to him

@StPierreviaKO Stamkos, Doughty, Bogosian, Pietrangelo, Schenn, Filatov, Wilson, bailey, Myers, Eberle, Ennis, Carlson, Stepan. And he is the 4th or 5th best in that draft?
You're fucking retarded, no question. Along with the 23 morons who agree with you.
Tools, all of you.

@aporchmonkey
You're almost as angry is Cory Clouston. Chillax, let people speculate. He will be one of the best D men and you will eat your words.
Dutchling88 11 months ago
@Dutchling88 Clouston is not angry, he's as calm as they come.
He won't be even in the top 5, there's 5 for sure that will be and already are better. Factor in the ones I may have forgotten, and he'll sniff somewhere in the bottom half of the top ten. If you put him in overall with ALL players, he's falling pretty far down that list.
aporchmonkey 11 months ago
@aporchmonkey LMFAO!!!! OMG ARE U KIDDING ME
HE HAD THE 3RD MOST POINTS OUT OF THEM ALL
AND HE ONLY PLAYED 68 GAMES
HAHAHAHA UR A FUCKING TOOL!!
GoSensGo9165 7 months ago
@GoSensGo9165 I'm a tool. Come on buddy. Big talk behind a screen. You clearly live in Ottawa. Let's meet somewhere and see you run your mouth then. Pick the time and place faggot. He also had the WORST +/- out of all them, a nice and very respectable -30; and probably played the most minutes on AVG out of all them. You're truly just a moronic bias Sens fan with statements like that. Go ahead and cheer for your pathetic team, don't be an idiot regarding every other one.
aporchmonkey 7 months ago
@GoSensGo9165 Oh and I'll see you at the season opener vs the Wild. I'll be the guy with the Heatley Wild jersey on with my friend who'll be wearing a Sharks Heatley. You'll see us somewhere pounding a faggot like you, come say hello:)
aporchmonkey 7 months ago
@aporchmonkey karlsson was playing on arguably the worst team in the nhl last year with the worst defense and goaltending until anderson came along. He is better than pk and probably is one of the best of the 08 draft. Karlsson is better than pietrangelo, filatov, wilson, boedker, boychuk, beach, bogosian, bailey, teubert and hodgson. Those are all players taken higher than him. 15-10=5. so he is the 5th best player from the draft. Also if your going to pound a "faggot". one word=security :D
zhaomayne 7 months ago
@zhaomayne Have you ever taken time to actually look at the 08' draft? Half of those guys haven't even been given a chance yet. Beach, Gustafsson, Colborne, Gardiner, Cuma, Nemisz, McCollum and probably a few more have played ZERO NHL games. Just because this guy gets placed on an NHL team, gets ALL the minutes and manages to not pull a Wade Redden in the point category he's the best player? The guy has offensive skill, I've never knocked him at all, I simple try to make you Send fans realize.
aporchmonkey 7 months ago
You over establish a guy because he's been placed on YOUR team due to organizational deficiencies. I watched the guy play 21 games last season and seen him get beat numerous times ALL ON HIS OWN, without the rest of the team sucking for him. On top of the top five that are truly better than him, you also have Wilson and Hodgson; and Del Zotto, Eberle, Ennis and Carlson drafted before and after Karlsson, respectively. You're essentially saying he's better than Eberle? Even you know that's wrong.
aporchmonkey 7 months ago
@aporchmonkey karlsson is better than del zotto. Hodgson has been injured a lot which has plagued the early part of his career, he didnt show up in the playoffs and to be honest i only see him being a potential 2nd line centre. Ennis and eberle i'll give them the nod i forgot about him. carlson and karlsson are equal to balance it out, carlson is better defensively and physically but karlsson has better offensive skills and speed. Wilson isnt better, overall karlsson is 7th/8th
zhaomayne 7 months ago
@zhaomayne Realize I just made you agree with me. First he was top 4 or 5, now you say 7 or 8. Carlson is not his equal. Carlson can play O and can actually play D, unlike Karlsson. At this point, there's no way you can say he's better. Once again, you're basing shit simply on points. Listen, I realize you're a Sens fan, and that causes a HUGE deficiency to your hockey knowledge, but it's okay, I can help you the same way i help the other morons in this city.
aporchmonkey 7 months ago
@aporchmonkey haha dude i've been watching hockey for a long time, im biased yes but 7th is only 2 spots from 5th so it was close. I wasnt always a sens fan but i will agree most of us are biased and unknowledged. But you gotta admit one thing......
rundblad is fucking awesome :D and yes i kinda do agree with you karlsson isnt 5th but 7th 8th range.
zhaomayne 7 months ago
@zhaomayne At least you know most of the fans here are RETARDED. Rundblad is a solid prospect, but to me he's not as good as Cowen. That's your guys' true stud and has been since you drafted him. He should be on the team next year playing first pairing minutes to get used to the bigs. Unless Andy plays like Roy and Alfie scores 35 again, this season will be a wash for you guys. No sense of keeping him in the minors to play top line minutes when you can give him that opportunity in the show.
aporchmonkey 7 months ago
@aporchmonkey i really hate when hockey sites rank kadri above cowen because he's on the leafs. Kadri will have a shit career, he's to small and will easily get knocked off the puck but he is skilled. Cowen is a safe bet because he's huge and mobile with some scoring upside. I really like rundblad though, he's projection is high risk high reward and he broke a record in the SEL league as a 20 year old.
zhaomayne 7 months ago
@zhaomayne "Wasn't always a Sens fan"; does that mean you cheered for the hated Leafs or Canadiens before we received our own team?
aporchmonkey 7 months ago

When I say "we" I mean us as a city, not a fanbase.
aporchmonkey 7 months ago
@zhaomayneI guess technically I support them too, as I go to games; but I hate knowing when I buy tickets that fat ugly fuck Melynk is getting my hard earned cash. yes, he saved the team. Beyond that, he's a piece that sits in the caribbean from his high horse and watches a sport he had no interest in 8 years ago. For him, it's PURELY about cash. If I ever came within twenty feet of him in real life, I would punch him:). BTW seriously, way to be an adult on YT and actually have a CONVERSATION:)
aporchmonkey 7 months ago
@aporchmonkey haha yeah no problem, i dont like melnyk either because of the reasons you stated. The only reason we hired Dave cameron as an assistant coach is cuz melnyk is also the owner of the st michael majors where cameron was the head coach. overall this season we will miss the playoffs and hopefully get a lottery pick but when its all said and done we will kick ass in the future with our prospect pool. Im still wondering though are you gonna wear a heatly jersey back in ottawa
zhaomayne 7 months ago
@zhaomayne I wear it all the time. I went to a Panthers game last year and wore it. I saw a guy at the same game wearing the same jersey. I wear it on the streets and cars honk and yell at me, one guy almost got into a crash because he was too worried about yelling at me. You guys will have a lottery pick more than likely; OBV anything can happen, but that team is VERY FAR from being good on the ice at the NHL level. Offensive stars always rank above defenseman, even if they themselves can
aporchmonkey 7 months ago
@zhaomayne play a little O. Always will be like that. It's hard to read into those sites, as one guy will rate goal scoring more valuable than all around game. Personally, I like to give players a 3 or 5 year window(3 for F, 5 for D and G), before truly judging them. They got to have time to grow into their bodies and become men, skill notwithstanding. Kadris O upside is off the chart, one of the best not in the NHL; but the guy still doesn't show that hustle getting back, and more importantly,
aporchmonkey 7 months ago
@aporchmonkey the hustle to stay with the play while defending. That's why I love my guy we got in the first round that year, Duchene. Regardless of what happened in the attacking zone, kid hustles back and plays the puck like not a lot of other kids do. It's special to watch. I feel blessed we were able to get him. That whole draft is EXTREMELY good, one of the best ever. Cizikas, Eakin, Barrie, Clifford, O'Reilly; all taken PAST the first round. That's some pretty nice talent.
aporchmonkey 7 months ago
@aporchmonkey ok i was a little harsh on kadri because i hate the leafs but he does have very very good offesne but very limited defense and he has a small frame. but in a few years he should bulk up so it will be harder to knock him off the puck. So bro who are your fav teams?
zhaomayne 7 months ago
@zhaomayne If you can't tell from my Duchene comment, it's the Avalanche. I bleed burgundy, not red. Kadri's upside on the offensive side of the game is incredible, I just think it's going to take him longer than people think to improve in his own end. I hope he proves me wrong as I like the kid and enjoy seeing someone of foreign blood play the game at a high level; it helps the game grow, which is always best for everyone.
aporchmonkey 7 months ago
@zhaomayne I tend to like almost every team in the league to a degree, minus the Sens, Wings and the Fagnuck diving squad. I watch a lot of players through junior and sometime midget prior to that, and I start to develop likes to kids through that, irrelevant of the team who drafts them. That's how I really like Cowen, he was one of my favourite junior players in Spokane. Him, Spurgeon and Beach were special to watch in 09-10. The kid plays the game the right way, all the time.
aporchmonkey 7 months ago
@zhaomayne For me to not like a guy simply based on the team that drafted him would be - 1) DUMB; and 2) make me look like an idiot who truly isn't a hockey fan, just a one team jock riding loser. If my team isn't playing, I still watch the NHL, every dang night of the regular season. No one comes even close to my Avs, but if I had to pick my second favourite team would be the Penguins(Yes I like Sid, but I liked them before too) or Winnipeg now because they're the only Canadian team I dont hate
aporchmonkey 7 months ago
@aporchmonkey aight then i'm #1 which is dumb, i still like the pens and i also liked carolina but sens are just the top of my list. But seriously though as a sens fan, we all hate the leafs like hell you gotta understand that man. We just hate them but i will say kadri can be VERY good but he needs to bulk up to get there.
zhaomayne 7 months ago
@zhaomayne I know you guys hate ALL Leafs, mention one and your blood starts to boil. I live here, remember. I know the whole rivalry, go to a few games each year against TOR, MTL and BOS.. It's like me and the Canucks; I fucking hate Ryan Kesler, but for me to say he has no talent or lacks this etc. would be retarded and make me also look retarded as anyone who knows one thing about hockey can see he plays the game right. Get what I'm saying? I feel the same about Alfie, as much as I hate him.
aporchmonkey 7 months ago
@aporchmonkey i honestly dont like alfie either and he's on the decline but when he was playing with heatley and spezza he was dynamite with them. I dont really think alfredsson is a good leader but about duchene, i love that guy. Speedy and dynamic i think he will be very good for the avalanche for the years to come. I think landeskog can either turn out to be Iginla 2.0 but the very worst case scenario a 3rd line grinder.

PS. I have all the "security" I need. You should come say hi at the Wild game too:). I'd love to meet you.
aporchmonkey 7 months ago
@aporchmonkey haha well im not going to the game but i'd like to and i would say hi because i'll bring my
"security" as well ;). but in all seriousness though karlsson isnt junk, he is prob 5th best player in the draft
zhaomayne 7 months ago
@zhaomayne Keep thinking he's better than Eberle, please. I can use you when I discuss moronic, bias Sens fans.
aporchmonkey 7 months ago
@aporchmonkey ok fine then he's 6th best then :D, hope that makes you happy but im not biased. Karlsson is a very smart hockey player but he's just undersized which is a physical barrier.
zhaomayne 7 months ago
@GoSensGo9165 Wow, points. You're a moron. You must be a "boxscore" fan. Go home on your bandwagon please, no one likes half ass hockey fans who have no knowledge or respect for the game; someone such as yourself for instance. SENS SUCK.
