i'd sought this episode out due to paul mcgann and found joey character annoying. but then i watched all episodes in reversed order. now re-watching this ep, joey is now not as annoying in comparison to maddie, and the same with carla in comparison on maddie, the stab-you-in-the-back opportunist, spiteful, clueless and very unattractive spectrum of humanity. blackadder is abusively funny, maddie is not.
for all the maddie lovers, i hope you do get your (solo) maddie series, so all can be happy.
@murrungay I have the reverse order of preference to you. Do you think it's at all possible that you might have felt differently if, as I did, you had watched the series a) in chronological order b) as it came out c) as a child?
Geez...Maddie was only in the show from 1997-2000 for the last 10 years she hasn't been in an episode get over it! It's called Jonathan Creek not Maddie M, just enjoy it!
@mad4it80 At 07:36 you can hear shots of "let me out" from Sheridan when the policeman is searching some rubbish sacks and wheelie bins. At 09:49 Alan and Sheridan are in the interview cell. Presumably the rubbish bag searching policeman heard the shouts and let them out of the cellar. Naff editing though to not show a short scene of them being let out.
@lohello567 I agree, I would love it if they made 1 more but with Maddy this time, she returns from the states, just as 1 final one, I'm sure Renwick could ask Quentin round for 1 final feature length, to make it a trilody. Hopefuly....
