Dear Evelyn, Please try and find out what your doctor did to put you in this situation. Someone is behind this Evelyn, and its not only the leaches who want to take your property and ruin your life. also, she is a Christian, so her treasures are NOT stored here on Earth but in HEAVEN. She is to be content wherever she finds herself. It seems you are merely agitating her and causing her more grief and fear by encouraging her to make these videos. Instead pray with her, visit her daily and help her to find peace & comfort in her circumstances. Adding to her stress can only be harmful to someone of her age.

Please read Philippians 4. As Christians we hold onto Jesus and are content in WHATEVER circumstances we find ourselves knowing that material things are left behind in this world. Ultimately the ONLY goal is to spread the gospel up until our last breath. She can be a light and a comfort to those lost souls in the nursing home. A final witness to many who have no other way to meet Jesus before departing this Earth.

Please read the rest of the bible where in Gods children are either happy and in his good graces or miserable and being punished by him because they turned from him. This implies that even here on earth it is Gods wish for his children to be happy.

Also NOWHERE in the bible does it tell us to "accept" what is done to us as Door mats. The bible is full of examples of God coming to the aid of those who stand up for themselves (and others).

While this is a very sad video, I still have to ask... IF this elderly lady was to return to her home, can she cook & clean up? Can she bathe and toilet herself without help? Do her own laundry etc? If she were to fall or if there was an emergency does she wear a pendant to summon help? Does she have any blood relatives to take her in? Depending upon a non-related elderly man with a heart condition isn't a good long term plan. Sadly at 90+ yrs of age, she may need to move to an assisted living.

IT IS NOT within the power of the court to violate this ladies rights period. She passed her Exam with flying colors. This means she is competent to decide whether she needs help or not. It is NOT the job of the Government to decide for her.

please answer even ONE of the questions. Can she care for herself consistently daily? does she have any blood relatives to live with? any plan other than a male non-relative with a heart condition to care for her? It appears that she is a very elderly lady unable to care for herself. If she needs 24 hour supervision she needs at least some type of assisted living type of care arrangement.

I'll answer this question. Was she found to be mentally competent? YES. Therefore it is NOT up to the courts to decide what she needs and this is a violation of her Constitutional rights period.

She can be mentally competent but PHYSICALLY unable to care for herself and FINANCIALLY unable to care for an in-home 24 hour caregiver who is APPROPRIATE. She probably needs to be in at least assisted living and can't admit it. Making exploitative videos of her isn't helping her situation. It is only causing her anxiety.

As soon as people start making decisions for others it's all downhill from there.

You get Politicians passing laws against the wishes of the people because "they don't know whats best for them". You get 96 year old Ladies being punished for living so long.....

SisterSunshine i personally know of immigrant elderly people who have 24 hour home care workers paid by the state through medicaid.And this American citizen can't be given the same service after paying taxes to this country all her life. She should be sent home and given whatever help she requires.
