  • Man.. this made me cry... seriously... This song means much to be.. It is too wonderful seeing those two old friends and musicians being back together.. PLEASE LED ZEPPELIN MAKE A REUNION WORLD TOUR!!!

  • if I heard rifght.. JIMMY PAGE CAN'T PLAY ANYMORE AS WELL AS HE PLAYED IN 70'S :'((( The solo didn't sound good ;(

  • I know this is not very masculine or anything. But if I was there, I would've been crying half the time. Led Zeppelin came together and proved many things, the most important being the undeniable FACT that they are, were, and always will be the most amazing thing to grace the stage of Rock And Roll. God Bless you, Led Zeppelin. And Plant, I know you don't want to tour with them, but there's still time to change the road you're on.

  • dont bust on his singing. Stairway tells a story, just fuckin listen to it.

  • i saw the mid-1990s Plant-Page tour in DC, and man that was an experience. Had a friend of a friend who went to this show (the guy is friend's with JPJ, now that's a nice to beat out the 20million who tried for the lottery of the 20,000 tix!)

  • This as a DVD would also be a great Charity raiser, I'd pay top USD to have it in blu-ray to start my day great in every way. Who snagged these multi-camera shots, must mean a DVD is in the works somewhere with all the attorneys...

  • still pretty amazed plant could do the last part (tuned down but...still awesome)

  • mmm jimmys solo was quite weak, the whole performance wasnt very good without bonzo...

  • thanks for posting these videos. been a fan of zeppelin for god knows how long. and as much as i wanted them to tour, and would have been first in line to get tickets, in a way, i am so glad they didn't go through with it. it would have made this moment less meaningful and special. i want to see them live, but i can settle for the dvd release instead. and for any of the rare folks who got to see this event, be thankful and grateful you got to witness greatness. this is epic.......

  • Doesnt sound the same In the dropped tuning

  • I want this to be released ON DVD/Blu-Ray so freaking bad. I got to admit though for this particular song I think JPJ's keyboards are to loud in the mix. Could just be because it is not professionally shot. Still better than pretty much EVERYTHING being put out today though.

  • did they release the concert on dvd??

  • Comment removed

  • Wow, that was a great show. When do you or do you think they will ever release an actual DVD of this show????

  • @guido2114 The original performances from the 1973 MSG concerts didn't see the official light of day for three years after they were filmed, and then took another 30-35 years before it was entirely released. Knebworth went longer: 24 years. Earl's Court went even longer: 28 years. Royal Albert Hall even longer still: 33 years. So I estimate we'll see this performance officially released somewhere between now and 2040.

  • @kaymo211 it sounds awesome even though hes tuned down

  • LED ZEPPELIN DONT NEED BACK, THEY NEVER GONE.

  • Come on Plant... Come back to Zeppelin.

  • vamos chicos por favor esta bn k no sean los mismo de antes pero son los originales los k crearon esas maravillosas canciones para mi siguen siendo los mejores del mundo YEAh!! I LOVE LED ZEPPELIN !!

  • Quakelord, i hope you were just comparing the fact that they both have tuned songs down a step, because if you were infering that metellica and Led Zep are in teh same league, well there isnt word for the ill deeds that will befall you, Led Zep is a SUPER group, metellica is a group of douches who were taught how to play 3 chords on guitar

  • mynameisjerkwad, I think the sound your referring to, is what you do with your left hand, you talentless slime bag.

  • does anyone think that is slightly better version than the original

  • No m8

  • earls court 1975 except the last part Plant is not screaming as he should but guitar solo is more then perfect...

  • this is definitly tuned down, but y would they do that

  • plants voice not the same anymore so dy prob tuned to him

  • Because roberts voice isn't as strong as it used to e thats what alot of bands do when they get old

  • Its also like how Metallica is with their songs now, the band's losing their higher voice but yet they're still great (I'm also referring to Led Zeppelin folks).

  • AC/DC has been touring since last year, they r getting old and all there stuff is tuned down a step 2. I saw them live twice, still sounded amazing

  • I can't believe Brian Johnson can still pull off his screeches.

I'd say out of the original Zep lineup, JPJ seems to be doing the best physically. Because he didn't get as involved in drugs. Page also still has it, I hope he and Clapton form that supergroup I've heard about.

Plant sounds a bit weak, but he's in his 60s, and it's way more demanding for a vocalist. Still, Led Zeppelin is Led Zeppelin, and they're the best.

  • Listen to kashmir from this concert i don't think plants voice is weak in that song at all.

  • Brilliant!! Any word of an official blu-ray release (forget dvd)?

  • i love zeppelin

  • is very good and easy to find any video of Led zppellin than a "Starway to heaven" with God on the guitar, the year of the video I do not recall, but if someone has it please upload it because it not only saw once.

  • Maybe it was nostalgia, maybe it was the red wine...but I found this really touching. The Mighty Zep...a planet in their own right , orbiting all our lives!

  • Some guys clapping at the beginning sounded like two wet steaks slapping together. Weird....

    Led Zeppelin forever!

  • haha. it sounds like some one holding a salmon in each hand and slapping then together lol

  • What else could have been going on in the audience is beyond me.... lol

  • ¿ quién es Grant ? / Who is Grant ?

  • The late great Mr. Peter Grant. The manager of zeppelin throughout there livelyhood.

  • Thanks! ^^

  • I hope they play right to the end. Echoes of the old energy still present here. Here's hoping for one last world tour lol

  • Wow! That felt good.

    =D

  • This voice sounds to Robert well

  • Comment removed

  • the best rock band ever!!!!

  • I agree

  • Seems to be a split opinion on this one :D.

My opinion is that there obviously not up to there old standard. They are extremely good musicians, but robert had moved on now and his own music now is very different. I thinkthere all fabulous but there definatly not the same any more which is sad :(

  • I'm so sick of comments like this. You name me one person whose singing voice is EXACTLY the same as it was damn near 40 years ago??!! Also, how could he "ruin" the song? He wrote the damn thing and can interpret it any way he wants!! Geez.

  • very nice!

  • cool to watch but why, in this day and age of state of the art sound technology, is Plant's mic getting high end feedback whenever he steps to it? i hope to hell they fired the monitor guy!

  • i heard page scolded him a ton lol

  • you try singing in the original key when you're in your 60s and have been singing most of your adult life.

  • i'm not saying its not hard, all i'm saying is don't ruin songs by singing them in a not good way

  • 6:14~7:01 Page is GOD!

  • ohh very good quality... :P good job with it

  • this show its dispponible (able) in dvd

  • I was born in the wrong year lol all the great show be4 I was born Zeppelin are rock gods =(

  • very nice!

  • AWESOME!!

Oh, COME ON, Robert Plant, ditch Allison Krauss and do a world tour with Led Zeppelin!!!

PS. Remember to come to Brazil xD

  • apparently all the band members want to do another show except for him lol it sux

  • yeah they offered him $60 million to do it =P

  • yea they dont rlly care bouot the money anymore though lol

  • 60m to them is worth about 100$ to us, if there goin to make a reunion concert they have to remember their fans in the U.S. too

  • If Zeppelin would do another show anywhere in the world, I'd do anything to go! I'm 13... I wish I would have been born in the 60'so I could've enjoyed this!

  • 5:50 - 7:01

on your knees and thank GOD , aka Pagey :-)

    Amazing!

  • check out me n my friend playin stairway just type fingerlix

  • i like the song tuned down better

  • It sounds strange tuned down.

  • He's still got it (page)

  • great video my spirith was crying when i saw it

  • it was played a full step lower?

  • Yeah, but does it really matter? I personally like it. It sounds a lot darker and more somber.

  • It's Jimmy's song, he can play it without the strings and I wouldnt care.

  • Robert wrote the actual song, Jimmy wrote the music.

  • how can you write a song but someone write the music? last time i checked a song is composed of music. lyrics come separately

  • 2 steps

  • who plays the piano?

  • john Paul Jones

  • I kind of like that this was played in Gm instead of the original Am key. Considering this is Robert Plant's least favorite Zeppelin song, he sounds great. Jimmy's tone sounds awesome too.

  • The reason Plant doesnt want to go on tour is that he doesnt want to be seen as an old man with nothing to do so he tours with his old band. Personally, I think it has everything to do with John not being around. Either way they know we want to see them, but Plant pretty much flat out said only for another good reason (charity event for a very good reason), they dont need the money.

  • Zepplin is powerful, but u can hear the age setting in, stairway was played a full step lower than the original, i guess plants range isnt what it used to be, but still it sounded great.

  • awesome video. does any one know if led zeppelin (rock gods) are bringing out a dvd of this concert ??

  • yes. through the Ahmet Ertegun Educational Foundation to raise money. also for posterity. that's why all the panasonic cameras are running around. Also, how would Jimmy explain to millions of fans that he didn't get this on film :?

Kire: this is the best sounding video. mainly because the audience noise is kept to the background...well done! can hear ALL of it. the bass is great! how on Earth did you manage it?!

    Divi

  • this isn't your band by any chance, is it?

  • Wish it was!!!

  • Nicely done - stitching was very good.

  • very nice video

  • If Led Zeppelin doesn't go on tour, they will be losing money and we wil be losing the experience...

  • truly brlliant

  • They are just the best.

  • I just wanna say.... Dear God, thank you for Led Zep.

    Lola.

  • zeppilen rocks

  • you mean... "Led Zeppelin"

    LOL

    Lola.

  • amazing just amazing

  • Excellent job, Kire70.

    Impressive.

    ~Atlanta, GA

  • Zepp, please have atleast 1 show in the US, i dont care if its on the other coast I will be there

  • AMAZING VID!

  • It's not just whether it sounds "the same", it's the fact that he can still sing those words, thirty years later, after all he's been through...when you uncover something solid time and events don't change it.

  • @shunammite also sounds like he may be coming down with a cold

  • Someone has been busy video and sound editing.

  • Yeah great toffage... at least this version didn't get too "Bobbed up."

  • That's Great ! ! !

In my perfect world, there would be an isolated camera on Page, and another on Robert, and another on Page & Plant.... Then I could choose which to watch each time.... But the Professional world is not yet there.... :)
