Open something new in musical world ,people look at the world now, mashines, racets, wars, fighting this is the true story about now ,but he find the way to show everything ...Somtimes his dance look like with Michael Jackson...Maybe he like him...
@clairannette well it isnt stolen... there exists a lot of borrowed themes in different pieces of great music... tchaikovsky used the russian national anthem in his famous 1812 overture and the marche slave, britten used a theme of purcell for his variation in young person's guide for orchestra... no one should be ashamed
To the 30 year old who posts videos on YouTube of him doing a front flip, yeah I think that I will argue that Larry Combs comes near Martin Frost in terms of playing clarinet.
3:26-3:36 is the clarinet solo from the third act of Puccini's Tosca ... interesting. Is that part of the concerto or did he just put that in an improvisation?
other that the part where he puts his clarinet in mortal danger on several occasions, i thoroughly enjoyed this amazing performance.....now let's see....if i practice for about 10 hours a day.......for 3 lifetimes....i think i might be about a tenth as good....and yes, ignore my screen name.....he's the supreme clarinetist....
does no one else think the dancing around after a while is kinda annoying
I mean I'll give to to Frost, he is seriuosly awsome, and he can make as though there is an entire orchestra in hands but.....the dancing around is kinda annoying
WOW!I just heard the part where he has two lines of musis nearly-5:01- wow... as a clarinettist THAT is hard.Nigh on immposible
The hardest thing is getting over the mentality that it is impossible and daring to try it and perfect it. The technique and the feeling is different from on the trumpet, of course, but circular breathing is learnable in less than a week. It's not as hard as you would think.
You´ve got that right,I learned to do it in 2 hours..But I´m still perfecting it. You just have to figure it out:) then you can stream to perfection:)
That's one of the most bizarre things I've ever seen in my life- I LOVE IT!

So, he's staging a play, not a music......
But still he's genius. As a genius myself, I gurantee that he's a truly talented player.

Definitely heard a Puccini, Tosca Act III clarinet solo quote in there! HOT.
God damn he is the best. He is the best clarinetist alive. I'm sorry, but if you disagree, you don't have ears.
wolfman918 2 years ago 6
@wolfman918 Sabine Meyer? Ricardo Morales? Paul Meyer? To name a few... it is impossible to say that there is a "best" clarinetist alive.

Where'd you hear the Puccini? I listened I probably just missed it lol great solo though, played it in college

I think I'd rather let Larry Combs, Stanley Drucker, Ricardo Morales or even Sabine Meyer be a role model for myself as a clarinetist..

Larry Combs... you're seriously going to say Larry Combs comes anywhere near Frost.... okay good luck with that.

The secret is in the circular breathing, which is by no means anywhere close to impossible. lol...
clairannette 3 years ago
I heard it's really hard to circular breathe? on the clarinet compared to say, the trumpet.
