@joby613 yeah that's the guy who planned and did the renovation there. He's actually a great chef in Boston with a couple of very popular restaurants. We had him come to walk them through since they were gonna ask a bunch of design questions we couldnt answer...he wasn't all that thrilled to be on camera as you can tell. and he definitely got all gussied up for his TV moment.
As a Professional Firefighter I love the fact of remodeling and preserving the history of a historical Firehouse. However this is too much of a modern contemporary design i would have put brick inside and added some red to emphasize the history of the building it is beautiful and all new inside but look to big and not homelike at all

Liberals love lofts. But what about decent housing for CHRISTIAN FAMILIES that can't afford all this crap? What about families who care more about GOD then stainless steel appliances and vanity? What about disigning GOD into a house and not decadence which leads to immorality? Shows like this should be banned because the destroy families by promoting COVETOUS BEHAVIOR!!

You can find converted firehouses or stables throughout Manhattan.
I've never visited East Boston, but I bet there's a lot of these throughout the city.
They're good locations for businesses that want large front entrances.
