  • This is in Inyokern, CA near Ridgecrest 'horsetrainingmethods'. 'Marycheryllynn', it took a long time before Tika could handle a canter; anything beyond a trot resulted in bolting probably because the PMUs are moved in herds of 24 using whips and cattle prods. Putting a harness on and letting it slap around while lunging in an arena proved to be the fastest and best solution. After being dumped by 6 trainers G&F Trailer in Bloomington, CA proved to be by far the best trainer.

  • She looks very well behaved indeed, lovely animal, this is "not" in beligium though is it?

  • seems like a great match for this horse. an understanding, experienced trainer with patience and a touch of natural horsemanship, its too bad not every horse is blessed with an easy understanding hand. great work! she will be a great ride

  • What a beautiful horse. =) Wish it was the summer so i can go horse riding again. =3

  • NICE! you have done well with the training of this belgiun.

  • How did you teach her to move off of leg pressure? I once had an unbroken horse and he would never move forward when I squeezed my legs, even if I used a crop or kicked. I did eventually do the responsible thing and sent him to a trainer, and kept riding with my instructors but I really am curious about whether or not this is a common problem?

  • We just purchased a quater horsexbelgian this winter...heavy on the belgian. this 7 year old goes good walk trot but is anxious and can't seem to find his cool at the canter...rushes, bolts sideways, evades etc. any suggestions out there...thanks

  • This horse belongs to my fat ass teacher at dhs t

  • I think you'r confusing things.

To be clear : Belgium has three draft horse breeds.

-Belgian horse ( called flemish horse in Belgium)

-Brabander ( called new style Belgian in America)

    - Ardenner

  • she is soooo cutee!

i loveeee belgians(: mines a pmu rescue too<3

  • que buena mano el chico! palabra de italiano..

  • the belgian is my fovourite horse.

  • Thanks. Tika is a very sweet but easily frightened PMU rescue Belgian cross out of Canada. She had a very rough start but she is slowly coming into her own. Sorrel in the winter and blond dapple in the summer.

  • nice belgian.

There are 2 breeds of belgians: american belgian an brabant belgians.

  • In belgium there are many subcategories of the 'Belgian', amongst which the 'Brabander' is the most famous (in belgium).
