Yea but an intel I7 is going to rape a dual core in any game regardless if its optimized for dual or quad core because the intel I7 supports 2 threads per core so windows can be on one of the cores and you have three more for games or anything else.
nyc system dont worri about the overclocking you cant fri your computer thses days. but what can happen is over time the cpu can degrade from the overclock but you wont see anything like that unless your going extream my q6600 is running @3.6 i have never seen a problem causd by overclocking. nyc computer i like the case :)

Anyways Mark you should easily be able to pump more out of that processor, justlast week I was running that Proc with an Asus striker extreme motherboard. I knew very little about overclocking 6 months ago but I have been able to run the E6850 on air at 3.88Ghz 100% stable and 3.94Ghz but never could never test full stability before I sold it. I used stock core voltages never changed them, only thing I changed was the QDR which was either 1725 or 1750Mhz
well i upgrade to dual 8800gtx's and a q6600 so in total with the monitor pc and z-5500 speakers it prob came to around £2,000 so not bad i dont think, just sold 1 8800 as hopefully newer cards are coming so will run with 1 at the mo :)

what v.i.d is your chip, if you use coretemp it'll tell you the vid and basically the higher the vid then generally you'll need a higher vcore, i've got mine @ 3.7ghz with 1.47 v core
okay downloaded coretemp and v.i.d says 1.3000v and ive tried to go 3.6ghz with 1.425vcore but it doesnt boot, i tried to increase to 1.45 but neither any luck.
ok my vid is 1.27 so it'll take less vcore to get stable, have you done the vdroop mod ? you might need to set 1.52v in the bios to counteract vdroop, try that but watch the temp of the cpu.... oh yeah use a fsb of 1600 too :)
The temps? baby i got liquid cooling as you so heat will not be a problem. Okay ill try to set the vcore at 1.52v if it works ill mail you for an adress and ill send 200 men to escort you home from work or school or whatever you do just to show how grateful i am. let me tell u this be carful when transporting, a pipe came of the cpu area and when i plug it in, err BANG and i opened the case with a lot of black smoke pouring out of it. Luckily i was buyimg a new computer at the time!

Nice system. Mine's similar but I only have one 500 gig hd, a 2.8 ghz amd processor overclocked to about 3.2, and I opted for air over liquid... so its loud but whatever. Nice system!

the watercooling fitment is very straight forward, this was my first attempt and all went well i suppose, only gripe is that the holes on the bottom of the case to mount the pump do not line up but apart from that it's cool, Got a Q6600go @ 3.7ghz and idle temps are 32-35 & load temps are 50-55 so its much better than air cooling anyways, hope your install goes smooth :)

Im buying 2x WD Caviar 500GB but i dont know how to set up raid. (Gripe) = basically the holes drilled in the case are not perfect so you have to juggle to the pump in, i've fitted my pump in the drive bays as if you mount it where the manual states you'd be hard pressed to get a big gfx card in, i have the same hdd's as you lol i'll help you to setup radd no problem, which mobo you using ?

Yo, what was your 3dmark06 scores like SM3.0 and SM2.0 and CPU? It seems a tad low, I have an E6600 : 3.4Ghz, 4GB @ 850Mhz 4-4-4-12, 8800GT @ 700/1800/1000 and getting just short of 13300. Btw I would overclock the cpu more, you can get that speed on air cooling and you have water!!, you should be able to get 4Ghz (SAFELY) :).

Nice computer I got an AMD version of your computer pretty much. You mentioned that you want a second 8800GTX you might want to check how long the ASUS one will be available cause I got the Inno3d 8800GTX OC version and I went to buy a 2nd card 2 months later and Inno3d stopped making them and I cannot get one anywhere. I have found an MSI overclocked one which is pretty much the same speed, but not being the same brand is a bit of a pain.

Hi mark, I just built similar system with kandalf LCS, Damn it was fun to build. I just overclocked Q6600 from 2.4ghz - 3.2ghz to 3.4ghz, it's running stable so far. I can't remember what vcore voltage I set, it's 1.4-something. What's the best vcore voltage I should set at 3.4ghz? Cheers from australia
it's ok for the money you pay, i mean there are much better kits out there but i havent got any complaints yet, no leaks lol. Plus my Q6600 @ 3.7ghz is idle at 34 & load at 55 :)

my first time watercooling bro - its very simple, all the hoses are labelled and the pump comes pre assembled, just screw the pump down, connect the cpu block, attatch green tubing and your good to go...
I dont really know much about that gfx card to be honest but i suppose it depends on the games you are trying to play and at what gfx settings you are gonna use. Sorry i couldnt be of more help :)
i haven't topped up or replaced the water yet as it looks fine, I'm using an antec quattro 850 watt psu. id say get a good quality 600watt one. Corsair make a very decent 620 watt psu, it all depends on the stuff your running like what gfx card etc... You should get the q6600 to 3.2 + on air, just make sure you get a good hsf

Hi, It came with all the fans pre-installed into the tower, The watercooling kit is not though so does require fitting yourself. Radiator is mounted for you and the whole thing is very easy to set up. Took like 2 hours to get everything in the pc and get windows Vista installed.

Buy some Feser1 for your watercooling, as much as you think thermaltake are good, the quality of their products arent that great, if you use Feser1 it wont harm your components if it leaks.
I have the same , the case is just weight to heavy, specifically if your bench is glass like mine or if you suffer from bad backs like me, installation was pretty easy but i had help as instructions are not that clear. and he is correct with the pump etc not fitting correctly, especially if you have a graphics card anywhere, but at the moment i have connected just the side untill later on
I've watched this video full through before, but I didn't leave a comment. I just would like to know what your idle and load temps are with that E6850 being overclocked. I am thinking of gettin a Kandalf LCS and a E4500 or E4600 that I am going to majorly overclock, but I want another radiator to attach to the back of the case if the radiator in the front doesn't cool that good.

Get a quad core for the future not for today.

A quad will probably preform same if not better than a dual core on most games of today (except for the "wolfie" or e8400 that thing is a beast)
And in the future with games that can use 4 cores it will smoke dual cores.

Nice system. Mine's similar but I only have one 500 gig hd, a 2.8 ghz amd processor overclocked to about 3.2, and I opted for air over liquid... so its loud but whatever. Nice system!

the watercooling fitment is very straight forward, this was my first attempt and all went well i suppose, only gripe is that the holes on the bottom of the case to mount the pump do not line up but apart from that it's cool, Got a Q6600go @ 3.7ghz and idle temps are 32-35 & load temps are 50-55 so its much better than air cooling anyways, hope your install goes smooth :)

Wouw, fast reply. Im getting a Q6600go to and would you say its safe to clock it to 3.4ghz, i dont think i dare to overclock further. And do you think you can explain how do set up Raid 0? Im buying 2x WD Caviar 500GB but i dont know how to set up raid. And what do you mean by "only gripe is that the holes on the bottom of the case to mount the pump do not line up", the pump should fit the holes right?

(Gripe) = basically the holes drilled in the case are not perfect so you have to juggle to the pump in, i've fitted my pump in the drive bays as if you mount it where the manual states you'd be hard pressed to get a big gfx card in, i have the same hdd's as you lol i'll help you to setup radd no problem, which mobo you using ?

ah okay, well im buying a 8800gts512 so ill hope it can fit where the manual says (would be a lot easier). and im using a Asus striker extreme, nforce 680i. And yes i would really much like your help to set up raid, my hardrives should be arriving january the 18th.

Yo, what was your 3dmark06 scores like SM3.0 and SM2.0 and CPU? It seems a tad low, I have an E6600 : 3.4Ghz, 4GB @ 850Mhz 4-4-4-12, 8800GT @ 700/1800/1000 and getting just short of 13300. Btw I would overclock the cpu more, you can get that speed on air cooling and you have water!!, you should be able to get 4Ghz (SAFELY) :).

ok cool, it's my digital camera that is making them sound loud. When you sit next to the tower you can hardly hear them. Don't know why the camera makes them sound load though... thank's :)

Nice computer I got an AMD version of your computer pretty much. You mentioned that you want a second 8800GTX you might want to check how long the ASUS one will be available cause I got the Inno3d 8800GTX OC version and I went to buy a 2nd card 2 months later and Inno3d stopped making them and I cannot get one anywhere. I have found an MSI overclocked one which is pretty much the same speed, but not being the same brand is a bit of a pain.

All 22"screens are TN panels, there is no lottery as they are all the same.
Choosing a 24" monitor is a lottery, as lots of different types of panels are used.

Hi mark, I just built similar system with kandalf LCS, Damn it was fun to build. I just overclocked Q6600 from 2.4ghz - 3.2ghz to 3.4ghz, it's running stable so far. I can't remember what vcore voltage I set, it's 1.4-something. What's the best vcore voltage I should set at 3.4ghz? Cheers from australia

it's ok for the money you pay, i mean there are much better kits out there but i havent got any complaints yet, no leaks lol. Plus my Q6600 @ 3.7ghz is idle at 34 & load at 55 :)

my first time watercooling bro - its very simple, all the hoses are labelled and the pump comes pre assembled, just screw the pump down, connect the cpu block, attatch green tubing and your good to go...

i haven't topped up or replaced the water yet as it looks fine, I'm using an antec quattro 850 watt psu. If you check out my other vids you'll see my rig has changed dramatically, Now im using a q6600 o/c to 3.6ghz, 4gig of ocz pc-6400 ram(3-4-4-10-2T), 2 8800GTX SLI, i've added a soundcard. id say get a good quality 600watt one. Corsair make a very decent 620 watt psu, it all depends on the stuff your running like what gfx card etc... You should get the q6600 to 3.2 + on air, just make sure you get a good hsf

Hi, It came with all the fans pre-installed into the tower, The watercooling kit is not though so does require fitting yourself. Radiator is mounted for you and the whole thing is very easy to set up. Took like 2 hours to get everything in the pc and get windows Vista installed.

Buy some Feser1 for your watercooling, as much as you think thermaltake are good, the quality of their products arent that great, if you use Feser1 it wont harm your components if it leaks.

I have the same , the case is just weight to heavy, specifically if your bench is glass like mine or if you suffer from bad backs like me, installation was pretty easy but i had help as instructions are not that clear. and he is correct with the pump etc not fitting correctly, especially if you have a graphics card anywhere, but at the moment i have connected just the side untill later on

I've watched this video full through before, but I didn't leave a comment. I just would like to know what your idle and load temps are with that E6850 being overclocked. I am thinking of gettin a Kandalf LCS and a E4500 or E4600 that I am going to majorly overclock, but I want another radiator to attach to the back of the case if the radiator in the front doesn't cool that good.

Well done man, just watched the whole thing. You where talking about getting the Samsung LCD " Samsung 226BW 22in". I also read up allot about this lcd. Allot of people where upset of the S pannel or whatever. Anyway you gave me some light at the end of the tunnel I think im going to check out the LCD you have. Sounds like it does a great job for you. Mind if i ask how much was it? and does it have a product code name?
