@BigRaff78 no mine annoyingly does not at £1400, has a very loud fan too! Other than that a great laptop which is very fast and pretty too

Mine was one of the first which meant it had a problem with temp managment. Now runs at around 95 degrees...

I have a Macbook Pro that was $3,600 when I got it 3 years ago. The specs are Intel Core 2 Duo, 2 GB Ram, Nvidia 8600m GT. The computer gets up to 160 degrees, the graphics card is recalled, and it's so slow I can't render videos with Final Cut Pro without wanting to pull my hair out. I'm praying I can get one of these laptops for christmas.

@Scottcreek942 It's an accessory that helps keep the machine cooler, but it's not necessary to have it even though the keyboard is back-lit.

I can't say I like this series as the screen isn't as good as the FW and FZ series. I wish Sony would give the F a Dual lamp display.

i have this one and it is awesome, but i have 6gs of ram and with 1 dedicated for video, and yes the battery is it only weak point i can see so far

@weldean46 i dont know why people are expecting a core i7 to have a good battery life. The thing sucks 55W and normal battery capacities today are only 54Wh so at full load, it will never go over an hour....

@makmegs yes i agree with you all the way it really sucks, i have to keep mind plugged in to the wall most of the time, so i guess it makes my laptop a desktop, lol

@weldean46 i wish intel could give people more control over mobile processors. I mean, it runs at 0.99Ghz on battery and consumes 15W but i think we can go lower . Max i've ever gotten is 2 hours and 8 minutes and thats with everything but explorer and vlc media player open :(

Really great laptop. I absolutely love it! The only thing and I mean the only thing that sets this notebook back is the weak batter. I get under 2 hours with heavy use, which sucks. I really hope that the next generation upgrade model will have a good battery that lasts maybe 4-6 hours. Then this would be perfect!

(although i know this laptop is not really designed for portability and is mainly designed to stay at a desk)
