  • Was that a cop with the blue lights or what?

  • Holy crap, great video

  • This video was taken at the crazy intersection of Monroe Avenue, Elmwood Avenue, and South Winton Road in Brighton, NY. They call the intersection "12 Corners".

  • I can't believe this happened in America. Those motorists stopped and waited for the trucks to come through. That is very un-american, they usually don't give a damn about emergency vehicles. Maybe this was a small town.

  • @eveningniteshade You've been in NYC too long.

  • This is probably the best fire video on youtube. Period.

  • I didn't realise any of your emergency response vehicles in the US used blue lights solo - I've usually seen blue & red on a single bar, or reds solo. Is that a particular type of vehicle?

  • @eddief32 I believe solo blue light means "emergency responder"...usually volunteer firefighter, EMT, etc...

  • @eddief32 Every state has it's own light laws for volunteers. Here in New York State volunteer firefighters have blue lights on their vehicles, volunteer ambulance members use green lights. The law recently changed and in addition to red and white lights police vehicles also have a blue light(s) because of the greater visability.

  • They are not cops which means they are requesting right of way. As such unless cop is around you can ignore them and ticket can't be issued to you because register owner of the vehicle is not responsible for the action of the driver(s).

  • @ylen13

    [ ] you are a smart guy

[x] you are dumb as fuck

[x] you are a fucking troll who needs to get a live.

  • @ylen13 What? That's the most stupid retarded thing I've ever fucking read. Please tell me, what planet do you come from?

  • Nice!!!

  • the light bar going across the bucket of the ladder what type of light bar is that

  • @firefighter54210 Its not a lightbar, its four individual lights surface mounted to the bucket.

  • I love how many people sit back and armchair operate emergency vehicles. Nobody got hit, nobody got hurt, so why all the bitchin'?!

  • I love how the jackass in the little grey chevy saw the chiefs truck, then decided "huh coast is clear I think i'll go" ...still not as bad as what we face here where people just plain won't get out of the way.

  • man how i love the q!!!

  • @eerrbb256 He didnt just go through the red light, he got out of the approaching units way as he was blocking the lane they were going to be in, as any other motorist would react, he just turned his blue light on to make sure people knew he was committing.

  • @eerrbb256 true but if he was clear to proceed safely would you want him to if your house was burning down? Or if your loved one was in medical distress?

  • @eerrbb256 , I'm not sure what part of the country you are from, but that who blue light courtesy thing, you come try that in NJ or PA and see if you don't wind up with a ticket for failure to yield the right of way. You need to review the laws before you make assumptions. While you are right, he should not have taken the red light, people must, MUST yield the right of way to vehicles displaying flashing blue lights.

  • @eerrbb256 NEW JERSEY STATE BLUE/RED LIGHT LAW

    N.J.S.A. 39:3-54.12

Under NEW JERSEY STATE LAW, drivers of non-emergency vehicles

shall yield the right of way to the vehicle of any member of a volunteer

fire company or a volunteer first aid squad or rescue squad displaying

emergency warning lights as in the same manner as authorized

    emergency vehicles (N.J.S.A. 39:4-92)

  • @broadwayexpress oh you know how to copy and paste. good for you.

  • @eerrbb256 I do. I can teach you. And I can teach you how not to assume and open your mouth as well. Once you shake the wetness out from behind your ears, you'll figure it out. And if there's some trouble, I'll be more then happy to help.

  • @eerrbb256 Listen guy you just got your ass handed to you go take your case of red ass and stop looking like an idiot posting false info.

  • @68Engine68 posting fake info..what info for anything did i post...?

  • @broadwayexpress only difference is this is in NY.

  • Same goes for PA

  • @eerrbb256 It doesnt matter the color light, hell even civillians can proceed thru a red to make room for a fire engine coming thru if they have to.

And what the hell is a courtesy light? Turn it on to alert people they can receive niceness from you?

  • @eerrbb256 Who gives a shit? Laws are bullshit when someone's life is on the line. You do what you got to to get there.

  • @crownvicdude amen to that dude

  • @crownvicdude That has got to be the dumbest thing I have heard in a long time. I was an EMT for 12 years and yes you want to get there quick but do you know how many people are killed cause emergency vehicles just blow lights? You have to be safe and not kill yourself to get there cause if you crash then that person is still screwed waiting for another ambulance.

  • Comment removed

  • @firerescue427 Upon what factual constituent can you debase the thesis of my comment, as it pertains to this video? I did not see any EMS affiliate "just blowing" a red light. You clearly fail to adequately emplace my comment within its intended text-that of how it applies to the circumstances illustrated in this video- yet have the nerve to call it the "dumbest" thing you've ever heard? My IQ (132) is far superior to the average EMTs, so i will be the judge of what is dumb.

  • i am abusing the replay button!!

  • what kind of grille lights r on that chief vehicle? they look like LED's then they start to strobe.

  • @ffemt250 That is correct sir, they actually do both, its two light heads, one led and one strobe, combined into one light, im not sure who makes the light, but ill see what i can find out!

  • @FirefighterEmt4Life It was a Whelen product produced when the LED's were still fairly new on the market. If I recall correctly, they combined the 400 series strobe with the 400 series 5mm LED light with one over top of the other. I actually really liked them... love the LED's but still have a soft spot for those strobes so it's a perfect combo.

  • @NotToday1285 I actually just saw a listing for one of those today, and yeah they are 400 series!

  • amazing

  • where was the blue light pov wait was it the first car?????

  • lol i love how the car wit the blue light went the wrong way

  • @ariel1111111118 no, that was a volunteer responding to one of their fire stations.

  • @FirefighterEmt4Life i know it was a volunter ima volunteer firefighter myself, i guess he cant respond pov to scene

  • @ariel1111111118 The fire station is right to my right...... he was going to the station...

  • @ariel1111111118 some do.... around me, ususally 1 or 2 miss the trucks/ live closer than the station

  • @ariel1111111118 if you pause it at like 0:23 you can see what I believe is the other station.

  • @ariel1111111118 It doesn't do any good to Vols come to a scene, cause more traffic problems, and then when you get a second call, they now have to get back to the station!

Go to the station, not the scene.Don't want to burst everyones bubble!

  • @RJBFIRECHIEF1 What if its a medical call and your house if closer to the call than the station? Maybe starting CPR sooner is better? Ther guys living close to the hall can bring the iron.

  • @kunzy04 I saw an accident just outside of our towns "main" gas station, and a volunteer with a POV was responding to the station but stopped and blocked traffic/provided care until the engine arrived. He was commended for smart thinking.

  • you call that a big response.

  • I ALWAYS WRITE IN CAPS CUZ SOMETHING ONLINE U GO TO SIGN INTO REQUIRE CAPS

  • Nice E-Ones!

  • I want to ride with the cheif . That just one Badass looking tahoe.

  • great video :) I have a question...do all volunteer firefighters get blue lighters or does it depend on where you live?

  • @firstresp0nder It depends what state you live in. Some states allow blue lights on personal vehicles, some red, some green, sometimes a combination of different colors. Some states don't allow lights on personal vehicles at all.

  • @TacoSoft ive mostly seen blue and some red...this one guy had all three but he had an suv tht had rear wimdow, dash, 2 roof bars, headlights, rear view mirrior, 2 small ones on the outside rear view mirriors, and during the winter he had a plow tht had 2 lights on it...way to go on waisting money...did i forget the bumper bar he installed on the back and the small one in the license plate case thing...now thts to many pov lights...

  • he also had the fog lamps replaced..one blue one red....and a air horn thing in stalled

  • I THINK THE BLUE LIGHTER IS JUST LIKE THOSE VEHICLES THAT STAY IN FRONT OF SEMIS WITH BIG LOADS. BUT INSTEAD LETTING PPL KNOW THEIRS BIG ENGINES AND SO FORTH COMING NOT JUST ONE VEHICLE ALONE I THINK

  • @SOUTHSIDERIDDLE I THINK YOUR CAPS LOCK MAY BE STUCK

  • the new tahoes are very nice! our new command car is really sharp and is a 2010 tahoe.. chevy did a great job!!

  • OMG NICE SERIOUSLY

  • Why didnt the POV just follow the others?

  • so in all of your videos theres a car with blue in the windows and no siren what is that?

  • @GILLETTEWILDHOCKEY they are blue lighters. they are volunteer firefighters who put blue lights on their personal vehicles.

  • These guys need to go back and visit there EVOC classes and look up following distance. Way to close with the engine and the Truck.

  • @coolsax64 They were absolutely far enough apart!! Dont ever judge something off of a video.... it is completely different in person.

  • @FirefighterEmt4Life I have been an A/O for over 20 years. They are too close. Maybe because things got a little congested crossing the intersection but still, there needs to be at least a 5 second gap or more. Is this a volunteer dept?

  • @coolsax64 Im not going to give out any information about this department, as i am not a member, and i am not going to put myself, or them into a position of trouble. I understand that they may be "too close" but, i myself still feel that the video does not give justice.

  • @FirefighterEmt4Life Fair enough. Stay safe.

  • @coolsax64 Stay Safe.

  • so what is that, a "blue lighter" ?

    Greetings from Germany

  • @Zetty112 Volunteer Firefighters Personal Vehicle.

  • @FirefighterEmt4Life ... ah ... thought so ;) unfortunately u r not allowed to fix lights on your car in germany :( we only put little signs in the windscreen or on the rooftop which say "firefighter on a call" :D

  • I don't know if it's the driver or Capt, but they're killing that Q2.

  • @406314 Im sorry? But the purpose of that blue light is not to go to the scene.... it is to get them to the fire house so they can respond more equipment.....

  • @FirefighterEmt4Life Not everywhere you go that's the case. Actually 406314 is right in this case because the majority of Brighton fire fighters respond to the scene, they cary their gear in their trunk. This is because they are a department heavily supplemented with paid staff that drive their trucks for them. Ill Bet actually most of them don't even have EVOC.

  • @IanHimself28 I understand that, but i physically watched that POV turn into the station across the street.... Brighton is an excellent department, so idk what that comment was getting to.

  • @FirefighterEmt4Life I wasnt getting to anything, I think I was very clear.

  • @406314 Firehouse across the street i believe.

  • Question. Why is the ladder in front? Normally the truck with water leads. Well it does here at least.

  • @cutiger3115 Just the way they happened to pull out for this run.... They werent first do for this assignment either... there was another engine in front of them.

  • @FirefighterEmt4Life Thanks man

  • @cutiger3115 just an fyi we have a 102' tower ladder like this one but its on a 1996 saulsbury. It has 300 gallons of water, so not all truck companies are dry. If im correct there is a not a single aerial unit in service that does not have water in Chester County Pa

  • @Moose82690 I know not all are dry but most are. Hell our ladder is a quint.

  • @cutiger3115 if you let the truck lead the engine can lay in and if hose has to cross the road you won't block the street for any additional response

  • oh lol the still sound cool

  • Is It me or does it seem the new chevy suburbans sound alot cooler and seem to have alot more horsepower?

  • @redbull8382 They have the police package option... so they have a police motor....

  • DAMNN BLAST AND HOLD THOSE Q's

  • who is that at 0:10?

  • @101blargman volunteer firefighter

  • fucking badass....love the Q

  • LED ViewPoints

  • that is a GREAT video

  • what is a pov????

  • @toby8761 Personaly Own Vehicle. I guess that means that you work as a fireman, but does not stay at the station 24/7, and responds from your home, but the department does not provide you with a car. So, you use your own car, with emergency lights and sirens on it. Therby Personaly Own Vehicle. POV.

  • @NCTS2009 Gretest POV Definition I've Heard So Far! :D Great JOb.!!lol

  • That is a sweet video

  • I think its awesome that your cheif stopped at the red lights. I've seen too many people, especially POV, run red lights and almost cause accidents.

  • Look at the asshole at 0:26

  • Wat dept?

  • Brighton Fire Dist.

  • NY right?

  • yeah

  • That's a very nice movie!

    5*!

  • SWEET!!!

  • that is a tall ladder!!

  • awesome video

  • This is probably the most visually and audibly orgasmic thing i've ever seen.

  • wat state is this in?

  • ny..

  • This video gave me wood

  • nice command vehicle. new tahoe?

  • dont forget the pumper!

  • sounds like something i would hear in new york in the morning

  • Love those Grover stutters man

  • Man, that car at 0:27 was brave!

  • Qs blastin sick video

  • thanks

  • nice q action man.

  • these sirens should be adopted for the UK fire brigade, the wails are so much louder and more intrusive therefore more people would likely pay attention... Sometimes we get some right tools just not moving over when a firetruck presents itself in the UK....

  • Awesome!!!!!

  • just curious whats the blue lighter for anyway? does he go in front of the cheif? lol you can barely see the blue light! excellent video tho thanks for uploading!

  • Nope, the Blue lighter is a volunteer fire fighter responding to the station to pick up more equipment, the light was not on at first and thats why it did not look as bright.

  • @FirefighterEmt4Life i think that it was a voly but i think he was just moving out of the way

  • The firehouse is directly to the right in this video, he had to turn to get to the rear parking lot though.

  • oh well that works too.

  • Blue lights are for firefighters responding to the fire house in their own vehicles to get their gear and get onto a fire truck to go to the scene.

  • God those are noisy! XD

  • Nice, I saw something like that but ambulances and a few more fire trucks while driving and turned into a sort of dead end side street and I drove to see what happened and I think there was a house fire, the street was blocked by the house obviously and there where tall trees.

  • is this in upstate NY???

  • With the Q's screaming and the air horn blasting, one lone car dares to cross the intersection for no reason. Priceless.

  • @nwvfd22 Yeah he is definitely the asshole of the day. That is one of my biggest pet peeves (people not yielding to emergency vehicles). I love sitting back at watching when fire responds. I wait for the "asshole of the day" to show his face, and then light him up and ticket him for not yielding. I try to take care of the fire dawgs in my area because if I get shot, they will be the ones who save my life.

  • @jberlotti Drives me insane seeing those idots, and there the ones who open lawsuits when the pull out in front of us and get it! F*in idiots.

  • @nwvfd22 that always pisses me off when a car that knows there is an emergency vehicle coming goes anyways

  • where is this.. what state ?

  • led vecor on engine cool

  • yeah, well he was right infront of the station, and was pulling into the back of the station i think.

  • loved the roar of the engine on the tahoe

  • i like how u guys have tahoes, i really like those new tahoes!

  • great thanks!

  • I like how the Blue Lighter just hauls ass for the CHEIF hahaha

  • yeah lol

  • great video

  • awesome video

  • @ 0:09 is that a volly or whats with the blue light?

  • volly

  • u got to love the one dumbass at 0:31 and great video

  • yeah, pulling through the intersection got him like what, and extra 200 ft away, and alot more q and horns behind him. lol

  • Great video quality!

  • thanks!

  • and nice e-one truck, very nice looking units you have here

  • not my town, but they are great trucks!

  • It's nice to see apparatus with the NFPA rear chevrons. Another nice video from you. Now, were those the apparatus sirens or you? JUST KIDDING! STAY SAFE!

  • hhaha thanks!

  • nice e-one pumper.... love the led mini vector lightbars

  • agreed!

  • nice q by the ladder..is that brighton..didnt know they had a new pumper.

  • they have 2 new pumpers im pretty sure.
