... the suicide of the twins later in life is not mentioned in general sociology books - only when one does further research will one find out. Academics are usually evasive about failures like this. Money obviously considered his reputation more important than the life of the family he helped ruin. I sincerely hope the twins have found peace, same with their parents.

Not only are these sort of pet theories still nurtured but we have moved them into the home by holding seminars for parents, of children with obtuse defining labels like RAD, on how parents can "therapeutically parent". This is even more harmful than clinical therapy as the child has no refuge from it as it is happening in their own home at the hands of their own parents..

Like me for example, watching this was almost funny because as a kid I was thought of as very masculine and behaved more like a boy, people would mistake me for a boy all the time, my friends were boys, my toys were masculine. As I grew older I discovered I liked girls. Yet I was born a girl and am content as female.

Something about how this is made bothers me. Don't get me wrong. The doctor is evil! But i could have deduced that without the dramatisations that make us feel like eyewitnesses (which we are not!) and without the spooky music that tells me that the guy is evil. I don't know. its because Canada had a longer connection with the United Kingdom and had fewer immigrants moving into the country where as America had so many immigrants the accents were blurred into what we call American English
