The nice thing about hearing aids is that you have the option to turn off the sound when you want your peace and quiet! Many hearing people don't have that option and they have to scream, "Quiet!!!" Haha it gives more benefit to the hard of hearing people in the world. :)

Would you say the Starkey hearing device is very close to the normal hearing? I mean, do you hear all the sounds like a hearing person would hear?

are this hearing aids suitable for highly hearing less too, or just for sligthly? they are so small and i think they aren't sufficient for a highly hearing less, are they?

Well my brother and I have borderline severe hearing loss, and some of us I know evern worse. That's why it's so exciting to have the "in the ear" ones, because the only ones good enough back in the day were behind the ear....

How bad was your hearing ability before getting this?

I have borderline severe hearing loss, about 80db, and the hearing aids are Starkey, Destiny 1200

I have severe hearing loss in my left ear and moderate to severe in my right ear.

I don't understand what people say if there a noisy background.

Even in silent background the person should speak loudly and slowly for me to understand what he says.

I got one CIC widex Brava but tried it for few days and got frustrated by the fact it is not working for me, so I am not using it now.

I wonder if you had the same problems as mine and if this aid solved them.

It should solve it, because we tried so many other before, and nothing worked like the ones we have.... Starkey is the first to have Nano technology. I would give it a try!

Hey! I went through pretty much the same, with trying many hearing aids before I switched to a dealer that sells Starkey and got the Extereme Power Destiny CIC!! WOWIE, can't imagine life without them, hearing sounds for the first time in 20+ yrs. Love them! Hope you are still lovin' yours. Bill Austin, Starkey and the Starkey Hearing Foundation Rock!

I'm 31 and have worn analog hearing aids since high doses of antibiotics as a baby resulted in severe hearing loss. I recently went to Starkey. The difference was so startling.  My brain had not adjusted right away to the new technology and scared I started crying thinking this would be worse after all my hopes for the digital benefits. I watched your video while waiting for my brain to adjust. By the end I too heard the sounds of water, traffic, and birds while comprehending conversation.

That's out standing Guys! Now I want you both to vow to be alert of the chancges to your lives this will take you down. Be good to each other. Beaware of the things you over hear and don't let them have a negative effect. So often thins are over heard that shouldn't have been heard. For instance people joking. People talking about something different then what your perception was. Etc... I Envy you for your life experiances. Peace!
