  • All right. I admit it. He's cute.

  • He's so cute! I want one but it seems like a lot of work.....

  • u have a nice cat. does he give a lot of trouble?

  • yucky ear dirt:S

  • Such a good kitty.

  • My cat goes Nutz btw my cats ears get dirty quick what's a easier way for it to come out when I clean his ears ??

  • i think its funny how she groomed it. but it has no hair

  • comment tu l'a eu,il est tres rare !?

  • I want one so badly. Thank you for this video. I love the idea of caring so much for one of these special kitties.

  • Right hook at 0:59 lol

  • love your cat, but do you always wash her in the kitchen?? .. thats really nasty...

  • What a beautiful cat. :) Thanks for making this video. I plan on getting a Sphynx, and this video is a huge help to me.

  • @Katie: They get sticky and grimy, start to smell bad and leave reddish stains wherever they lay down for longer. Hairy cats are actually the same.. only the fur takes away most of the grime.. so you don't see it as prominent.

Though I don't exactly go through all the bother she does.. my cat prefers to just jump into the tub after me... The sink is for sleeping in.

  • Aaaw lok at that cat being all chilled and relaxed. :)

  • i heard these cats are expensive. what exactly makes them pricy?

  • I'm getting a sphynx cat in a few months, I'm almost excited about bathtime!

  • I have a Sphynx. How would i know if it has staff?

  • Do you exactly need to do this for your sphynx cat what will happen if you dont never wash it

  • So well behaved!

  • How did you manage to do that, like my sphynx, she always scrams and puts up a fight with me and she hates getting in the water. I can never get her to be fully clean.

  • Your cat is beautiful! :D <3

  • @boosweetpea Could you please edit your description to give a detailed list of the products you use and possibly where to find them? I've been a sphynx owner for over 14 years, but I've never heard of the coconut oil! Haha. I'd really like to compare what I use to what everyone else finds works for them. Thank you!

  • I love cats so much!

  • Coconut oil is SO YUMMY. Don't dirty it.

  • i really want a cat but my parents said no

  • So patient :)

  • When my spynx cat hears the bathtub water running, she jumps straight into the tub!

  • This woman is a great owner!!!

  • Can you please tell me the name of the "SOOTHING PADS" that you are using (Brand and description from the front of the jar)?

    THANKS in advance!

  • its so well behaved

  • he is so precious! love him xxx

  • I wanted one, until I saw what came out of its ears.

  • I have the same towels :D

By the way...Do you have to teach them from young that the bath is OK?

I am thinking about getting a kitten.

  • You'd have to put my cat out cold to do all that to her.

  • he is a beaut i have to get one

  • He is really good for bath time

    . What a sweet kitty! :)

  • i am getting a sphynx kitten next week, thanks for all the useful tips! i will definately use them on Tommy =)

  • some clothes would keep the cat warm no?

  • @localSickened yes :)

  • what a great kitty!

    so well behaved!

Good to see such a great owner, too!

  • @mskaylee100 sphynx cats range to about 1000-2000 dollars.... Don't ever buy a cheap one that ranges from 100-900 dollars because they could be defective. They could be blind or they might have respiratory problems. My hairless cat was 1200 dollars and he is NOT defective. To answer your second question, u can declaw hairless cats but when u do they take off the knuckles......... When I got my hairless cat, I had to sign a contract that said to NEVER declaw ur cat because it represents cruelty

  • U make it look SO easy.... My hairless cat named Cosmo HATES water.... While he is in the water he growls and hisses and does all other unusual things..... Poor kitty.... I have to give him a bath right now....... :(

  • great woman :) I love to see some good relationships between cats and owners. My cat is a half persian half siam cat - she do not really like water :D and bathing at all

    But shes a good girl

  • Aww Whatta Well Behaved Cat!! i guess u really like him :P

  • I am getting my Sphynx cat this week... I so can't wait!!!

  • Awww..kitty bath!

  • you seem like such a loving and gentle cat-mommy! :D i love sphynx cats and am planning on rescuing one soon, thanks so much for the tips!!

  • We have 3. They all hate bathtime. They're all disgusting as hell. Their ears are like tar pits. They are so much fun and so affectionate they are worth all the trouble

  • @wdmd11 AMEN!

  • lol i love how people think that cats are so dirty when humans are just as dirty or even more and freak out about have a cat in the sink when soap and hot water kills the germs lol,ur sphinx is so adorable i want one so bad but i have 2 wait 2 move out and train my dog not 2 chase cats

  • is he a cat that goes outside?

  • o.O you hit your cat's year at 1:00 that must've hurt lol it's good that's he's tame :) I love that cat cuz he's cute :D

  • OMG when you rub the pads on his bum be carefull of his testicles, dont reb them hard that wil HURT! lol

  • Wow what a tame cat.

  • please reply: how much (on average) does a sphynx cost? and can u declaw a sphynx cat? thanks.

  • you should try to wash my cat...he would jump like there are fireworks on his ass

  • What if I only bath it once per month??

    Does it get stinky??

  • what a good cat

  • Thank you for making this video :)

  • Boo is such a cute baby! :D what a good kitty you are lucky to have him. <3

  • My friends have one, the feel like a combination between a peach and a baby!

  • Best video for bathing Sphynxs out there :) My baby Blue Point Sphynx girl comes home soon after a very long wait i am so excited and lucky. Thank you for your video xxx

  • @eskababe Thank you so much. You are lucky! *hugs to your baby*

  • Awwwwwww! Cute kitty!

  • they're not bred for "human vanity"..it was a natural occurrence in Canada!

  • thanx for the tips!!! i have a shpynx and he gets really dirty. I wash him like 3 time a week, the body gets like brown because of the oils. I also wipe him with baby wipes every day and the eyes i have to clean them ever other day. He has like 3 year, I adopt him and he's very cute and nice (he's also deaf) . Do they need some especial food or some thing ?? again thank you for all the tips!

  • @mermaidnora Veg likes low carb wet foods. He can eat dry duck and pea food for allerglies

  • by the way you should use gloves at the end. thats rancid

  • Comment removed

  • ears were so nasty. YUCK

  • you clean your cat in the kitchen sink? eww

  • @LMFAOroflcopter ur funny "ew" lol i use to get baths in the sink when i was a baby/toddler. people are so finicky about the weirdest things, who really washes the dishes in sinks anymore? doesnt everyone have a dishwasher?

  • @tigerg33 a cat is different to a baby, a cat has been out, in the mud, could have anything in their fur and that's going all over where you wash up stuff. i wouldn't like to have my cat bathing where i wash my pans thank you very much.

  • @LMFAOroflcopter yea thats true if you have outdoor cats but Sphynxs are strictly indoor cats. I admit I bathe my cats in the bathtub but thats only because mine will escape if they're in the sink, my hairy ones. Haven't gotten a Sphynx yet.

  • He's so adorable and well behaved! :)

  • awe, hes so cooperative!

  • What a sweet kitty!

  • These poor cats are a perversion caused by human vanity. I don't understand why we have to inbreed animals until they LOOK like we WANT them to.

  • @ewganhoff i agree, but look at the bright side... at least they have owners who care for them in a proper and loving fashion. personally, i've never heard of a stray Sphynx... bottom line is, how they came to existence is not relevant anymore, they're here now and it's our job to take care of what we created.

  • AWWW! its so cute!

  • thanks so much for posting. my own sphynx, precious roy, is pretty good about bathtime, but it's always nice to get new tips (thanks for the coconut oil thing, btw). also, the tip about filling the sink a bit and putting the towel on the bottom was great. it really gets the between-the-toes dirt loose and makes cleaning and clipping his nails that much easier. thanks! oh, and is your cat neutered? mine isn't yet & everyone has a comment about how huge his man parts are...

  • @crazybabysittertwin Boo's neutered and they keep remarking how little his man parts are. I'd like to see your man parts to know what his looked like before!

  • @boosweetpea i don't think i can just post a photo of roy's business, but if you private message me, i'll message you back a shot...

  • @boosweetpea ... That's what she said!!..... Sorry couldn't resist. Anyway, I'm really thinking about getting a Sphynx and had three questions: Whenever I've gotten cats in the past, I've always made sure to get two (mainly so they each have a buddy). Are they good with other sphynx's and are they good with other (furry) cats? Also, I get why their skin, paws and butt attract dirt but what makes their ears different from other cat's or are they the same and you just clean them for good measure?

  • you missed an ear!

  • Comment removed

  • The ear cleaning was helpful. I often find that the most difficult part of looking after a sphynx... my own cat Pharoah really doesn't enjoy having cotton buds stuck in his ears lol.

  • thats over the top!

  • Similar to preparing the turkey for the 4th of July! :D

  • can you do this with fury cats?

  • @Supersupernatify HSN has pet shampoo they talk about using with cats. I think the problem would be the furry cat wouldn't be used to the bath. There might be some hints online that tell you how to deal with that.

  • @boosweetpea sphinx cat's have to be washed often so they are used to it at a young age, So Unless you've been washing your cat on a regular basis, i don't believe so.

  • do sphynx cats tend to be finiky when it comes to baths in general? How long did it take you to get your sphynx to be that well behaved? As well, how much did you pay for Boo and how old was he?

  • @gathy222 Sphynx have to have baths so they tolerate them. Some like floating swimming in water. My was well behaved having been raised until 2 yo with the breeder. His nose was slightly too short to be a show cat and I bought him for $500.

  • @boosweetpea cool! lovely cat by the way!

  • do sphynx cats tend to be finicky when it comes to baths in general? As well, how old was yours when you got him and how much was he?

  • he looks like a little raw chicken! But very cute and calm though

  • This is really helpful. Thanks for the instructional!

  • please tell me you don't wash this cat in the same sink u wash your dishes in! =O

  • This seems a little overkill, do you really neeeeed to wash a sphynx weekly? Once either other week? Also, he seems to be taking this very well. Is that normal for these sphynxs?

  • @MisterMinnesota Every week is best. He can get away with every 2 weeks. Sphynx need to be bathed cuz no fur to absorb oils which absorbs dirt, like an ear wax consistency. They are raised used to getting baths.

  • Is'nt that where you prepare food? OMG I just hurled in my mouth a bit!

  • @CustomJ lol most people prepare food on the counter

  • how much you pay for 2 year old cat..?

  • @paeeze5 $500

  • @boosweetpea

    thanks,

and you do not have any problem with your cat ?

i think is too much work ? it is worthet ? i LOVE cats and i have 3 and they just care free :)

  • poor kitty!!!

  • i dont belive you have to brush their teeth do you?

  • @makeasceneful The vet told me he rubs his cats teeth daily once with a gauze pad. They need healthy gums like the rest of us.

I forgot to do his teeth for a long time. Both my cats had to go under and get their teeth cleaned.

  • The most well behaved cat i have ever seen!

  • wow what a good kitty and your sphinx is cute....i love animals but alot of them arent sweet on the eyes lol

  • why the hell do you use shampoo? is bold

  • OMG it looks like a fukcing rat

  • why is this dog no hair

  • @lebagel cat?

  • we have 2 hairless monsters, and I wish that Bacon and MooMoo behaved as well as your Boo does!! has he always been this well behaveed? or was it a learning experience??

  • @mahammadness *puzzled* I always wondered because I bought him at 2 years old and I've been asked if all Sphynx behave that way. I THINK it's the 2 years he lived with the breeder that made him so well behaved.

  • what an awsome cat, it stays. so cute

  • you could keep the sprayer close to his skin this way it would not spray him or splash him to me this would be more practical..

  • Haha our cat needs to be held by two people in order to keep her in the sink! He's so quiet I'm amazed !!

  • You seem like such a loving owner ! I wish i had a sphynx. But i don't think they have them in my country :(

  • What a lovely angel and what a loving owner!

  • the cat has so much luck to have such a great owner =))))

  • @Nadja4147 So lucky to have each other. Thank you! You must be a loving pet owner!

  • He's cooperative.

  • I bathe my sphynx in the kitchen sink as well. Isn't it wonderful how we have cleaning products to clean the sink afterwards. Funny how some people have a problem with bathing them in the sink, yet the cat is walking round one's home leaving germs. We survive that, so why would it be a problem to clean them in the sink. I think some people have a "Michael Jackson syndrome" where the thought of germs terrify them, lol. They should look under a magnifying glass and see the germs we live with.

  • @keraleigh2000 omg THANK YOU! Reality Check!

  • it looks like a big rat.

  • No offense but this is the reason i only eat at my house!! You should only do dish and wash food in the sink not Human/Pets r anything else.

Lovely Sphynx it seems so calm

  • one the most well behaved cats ever! god bless him n u for taking care of ur cat so well! I like chinese crested dogs n sphynx cats coz i have allergies to animal fur/hair plus they r so darn cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • How interesting. I didn't know you needed to do that, but it makes sense.

  • So cute! Do sphynx cats "talk" or meow a lot or are they generally quiet?

  • @Daniejolenebrooke Boo is generally quiet except when there's a closed door.

  • @boosweetpea our cat will not stop talking he meows all day. I feel like i have a dog more than a cat hes so talkative.

  • @miltonlaxer *chuckle* Ours is like a dog in that he plays tag, fetch, roughhouses and loves to go out and people watch and dog watch. But he is not talking all day.

  • @Daniejolenebrooke Some of the ones I'ive seen are quite talkative but not too much so.

  • @Daniejolenebrooke My little girl is very loud, she would wake up an start shouting for me for find out where I am. Although generally speaking they are a quiet breed compared to some cats.

  • You love your cat soo much =]

    I can tell =]

  • I need two of these cats. Thanks for the video!

  • @nikirtehsuxlol You're welcome. They are awesome cats!

  • such a well behaved puss cat

  • poor cat :/

  • Thats a very good looking Sphynx cat, I wish i could have one!

  • @cameroooon95 I looked 2 years for him wanting a sphynx, and had no idea how VERY cool a sphynx really is.

  • Hi I was wondering what products you use? Your cat looks very relaxed and enjoying this! I have a 4 month old kitten and don't seem to enjoy baths as much with work I know he will love them! Any info on grooming would be very helpful and appreciated! Thanks

  • This was extremely helpful. I have a sphynx and no one ever really taught me how to groom him correctly. I have a question though. Mine gets lots of build up on his nails. They get real dirty and when I try to clean them he gets really angry, hisses, claws and runs away. It's hard cus he's really big and strong. How can I clean his nails better without him doing this? Thanks!

  • Cats hate water, my cat gets extremely violent in water, are these cats different?

  • @AiCLol They are different because they have to be bathed weekly since kittenhood, and so have gotten used to the process.

  • So basically, if I don't want kids but the same amount of work, get a Sphynx :D But seriously, so cute and well-behaved, good kitty :)

  • What cleaning pads are those? I couldn't hear what brand you said they were. Do they work well? or do you recommend another one? thanks :)

  • Cutiee! I love it <3

  • what a good boy!

  • I'm glad you told me that was coconut...I was afraid it was a jar of mayonnaise there for a moment! Love Sphynx kitties! What a good little kitty, so patient at being bathed.

  • your cat is SOOOO adorable. i want a Sphynx so bad. !

  • mmm sxy lady bathing her cat

  • You are the best Sphynx Mother..... I just take baths with my cats every few weeks..... I feel bad now, because you are so better than me.

  • *chuckle* I think the fact that you have sphynx and take baths with them, you can only recognize how special sphynx are if you have it within. Bet they enjoy the baths!

  • I don't understand why most of people don't like these type of cats..I think the Sphynx are beutiful

  • Thanks a lot. I'm really trying to research how to take care of these beautiful animals before I get one and this definitely helped. =)

  • thank u for this video! plz post a video of how u get your cat so hairless to start with. i tried w mine but i cant get it as smooth as yours. thank u!

  • I wish my Sphynx would let me do that he claws the living CRAP out of me when he gets near water he HAAAAAAAAATES water which sucks because he should have been used to it by the time I got him from the breeder...I don't think they bathed him often...
