  • 00:30 Inception!! :o

  • I don't want this BS..i just want to know solutions to the problem...all this video shows is that there is a problem..but where does the video come up with any solution? GIVE ME A SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM AND I WILL FOLLOW IT..NAGGING ABOUT IT IS NOT SOLVING THE PROBLEM..ok stop using fossil fuels..umm so how am i going to get to my job 15 miles away from where I live?a bike...use a HYBRID..yeah and use Li-ion batteries that when dead are worse off than any fossil fuel.COME ON!Hydrogen Fuel Cell?

  • great video thanks

  • So many comments are paragraphs XD

  • what's the ph level has it changed see that's hard data i need hard data and i might believe in what there saying if they stop using the words if and might humans emit a small amount of co2 compared to natural emitted co2 so this small amount is supposed to destroy all life in the oceans, oh go and fuck yourselves it can't be true and the solutions are so full of shit so if its true were fucked up the arse

  • When I watch this, the only feeling I get is: "Pheeew!", the world is fine.

Documentaries funded by large corporations, the "actors" perfect scripttalking and of course when they're hinting about I'm responsible for the worlds pollution and it's my job to clean up the mess after the large corporations, then you know it's agenda is profit, and NOTHING else. Classic campaign.

If there actually were any problems, it's the problem creators who needs to fix the problem and not throw the ball at us.

  • @be2Gee Why don't you go take an Oceanography class and stop posting ignorance on the internet?, dumbass know it all.

  • The solutions given are shallow.

You want to solve the problem, tell people to stop breeding so much. All this can be alleviated with population control. David Attenborough agrees.

  • Climate denial shills can't refute ocean acidification.

They can't blame this on solar activity or galactic cycles.

  • Absolutely amazing! Thank you for this upload.

  • I have to write an essay about ocean acidification. Is there any way you could help me a little bit??

  • We are like a virus to earth, yet it gives us life and we still sit back and do nothing why? Because we abide by governments if they say we do so why not say! Well simply it's MONEY.

  • @Codenamebravo you should listen to those loonies on the news.

makes me really sad that they say very little about the earth's oceans being polluted, the land being RAPED!

from 1970-2010 over 800 square miles of the appalachian mountains have had their tops blown off, the soil and water turned to toxic sludge. Politicians don't go outside with nature very often, they only talk about money money money, "don't regulate the air pollution it might kill jobs" its this attitude thats killing us.

  • All i have to say is simple. we humans have history of destroying what we love the most.. this time we figured. hey! lets kill our Mother... what happens when shes gone? are we on the moon or on mars?

  • When will wake up and stop allowing the oil barrons and bankers ruin our atmosphere, our environment, our lungs and our childrens future? What must happen for us to take care of our planet? It's not an idea it's an absolutely essential necessity for any hope of survival as humans.

  • Earth was so perfect, So beautiful, Until we came around and ruined it.

So lets find a way to keep earth beautiful for a long time before it becomes a wasteland.

  • We are advised to try and not worry about the things over which we have no control. If a GREENS politician in Australia says we have to close down coal mining, the reaction is hysterical derision. We simply should let go. Like bing in Court and the judge makes an unjust ruling. All you can do is apply to have your objection recorded. At the end of this war on the Earth, the ignorant pro-active Bastards will of course say "I was ADVISED there was nothing to worry about".

  • ANIMAL FARM dictates I ask this question. "We should first ask what can the oceans do for us before we ask what can we do for the oceans? Because in our ANIMAL FARM WORLD coal & oil warms & works for us. It is not actually EXTRA carbon being ADDED to the carbon cycle. And this isn't an inconvenient TRUTH. It is an UNREAL truth. In the sense that if I eat icecream, I am simply distracted and everything else disappears from my mind. Especially plancton.

  • No mention of anything I mentioned apart from C02 emissions and a small bit about over fishing. Totally misleading from the full scope of the problem. I.e, replacing and restoring vegetation / soil and ocean noise pollution whilst we stop using fossel fuels.

"the only way to stop ocean acidifcation is to stop using fossel fuels"

  • C02 is heavily acidifying our oceans but the larger problem is that we have polluted so much in the sea, over fished, caused so much ocean noise pollution, destroyed soil on land and cut down vegetation, that we do have the necessary mechanisms to convert C02. Multiple steps of action must be taken which means we must give all of what I mentioned a big focus in politics, media and corporate discussions.

  • Unfortunately I have not see this on TV, and it is a shame. As this is very important. Instead, here in Australia, we are bombarded with sicko criminal murder shows and other mindless garbage, anything to dumb and numb us out. I only heard of this from a friend who use to work for Greenpeace..

  • @SSgtParmer Man people like you are soooo dangerous for the planet. It is your mindset which will do us all in. Jesus aint comin back, face it! and even if he does, with your attitude, he won't save you. the bible says to take care of the planet. Most Christians don't give a fruck about the environment.

  • The one problem I see with the clip is where it turns to "solutions", showing wind turbines and solar panels. These are not enough when we want to replace 80% of the world's energy. Real, workable solutions must also include nuclear energy, produced in modern reactors. And in the future, produced in liquid fueled thorium reactors.

  • I've seen the effects first hand...it's time to change our habits people!!!!

  • Excellent video. Circulate it to as many people as you can. The more people who see it the more likely something will be done about this problem.

  • People think that humanity wont die but I say people must form a pro Human survivalist group to survive. I will and unless we get off this planet were dead anyways.

  • PS. why is there a fisherman in this video?

Hint: depleting the oceans of sea-life does NOT help the problem.

  • @iamMRN The fisherman shown in the video doesn't appear to be part of some big fishery organisation. It's them you should turn to if you're talking about depletion. Fishermen from villages in Africa bloody well know how to fish in a sustainable way, yet, major fishery organisations prevent them from doing so.

  • Save the ocean? Save earth? Save seashells?

cmon stop lets stop kidding ourselves with this save this and save that.

It's humanity that we are out to save.

For that we need to make drastic changes to our lifestyles.

Step 1. Stop consuming animal products.

Step 2. Stop supporting the monetary system.

Step 3. Move towards a life of self-sustenance, health and a transition towards a resource based economy.

    For more info, use Google.

    Have a nice day.

  • @iamMRN Thats not right, We need to eat meat not every ones a vegatiarn Most of what computers are made of use most stuff. Theres no way to stop us from dieing

  • Acid Test is originally a novel from Tom Wolfe, which story takes place in the mid 60's.

Ken Kasey (an artist and notably autor of the novel "one flew over the cooco's nest") was travelling around the USA distributing LSD at concerts (Greatfull Dead or Jefferson Aiplane for exemple).

Those experiments (distributing LSD to see how react the pople mass) are called Acid Test.

The question is : why is the Natural Ressources Defense Council comparing water acidification to LSD distribution ?

  • @synyp54 My dictionary has Acid Test: a conclusive test of the success or value of something. I think thats the definition they were going for. :)

  • This should be show in schools worldwide!! We need to save our ocean

  • @cquickel23 In my school we watched it.

  • I equate the denialism phenomenon to a person blowing up a balloon, and when it gets big enough it blows up and kills everyone.

"Hey, you should stop blowing up that balloon. It's not a good idea."

"What the hell are you talking about? I'm not blowing any balloon."

"Yes you are. I can see you. You've been doing it for the past week."

"You're full of shit. There isn't even a balloon, you liar. You're just in the pocket of the anti-balloon crazies."

"That's a load of crap and you k-"

    -BOOM-

  • All your youtube comments are you going around talking about how global warming is false.

Really? That's what you do with your time, searching for comments and posting stuff that, in the long run, only benefits extremely rich (and pollutant) corporations who try to repress global warming statistics because they know anti-pollution legislation will cost them an extra dime?

Huh. Okay, I won't try to stop you.

  • Riiiight.

You're seriously going to take the position that people, who are honestly concerned about the overall health the planet, are going to jack up the cost of living for no other reason than shits and giggles? As opposed to, say, extremely wealthy oil & heavy industry companies trying to spread misinformation so they can continue to rely on cheap (and dirty) methods of production?

Yeah, regulation might raise living a bit, but that beats the planet being completely uninhabitable.

  • @Dodger481 Fictitious? You, sir/madam, are an ignorant idiot. If you can't see that global warming and ocean acidification are real problems, there is seriously something wrong with you. You MUST be a right wing conspiracy theorist who thinks that this is just concocted to increase costs of things. Fuck you, you lie-mongering dipshit.

  • HAHAHA another crock. I gues now that global warming has been debunked another scam must take its place. Will this be enough to save the carbon credit business? Will this new scare seperate the unsuspecting public from their money and personal liberty? Stay tuned for Carbon scam II.

  • @Dodger481

How apt that you name yourself Dodger.

    Idiot.

  • @Dodger481 Its not a scame unless you want to die. The fuel company is a freaking scam. They are just fat greedy bastards only caring about there money. What will money get you when theres no one left on earth?

  • wtf? 14 people dont like this? wow r they crazy?!

  • Go green, keep our oceans blue :)

  • @SSgtParmer WERE THE HANDS AND FEET OF JESUS.

  • @EchelonMonitor: It's about time you review your water chemistry. A basic buffered solutions is resistant to acidification: not immune.

  • @EchelonMonitor Acidity and Alkalinity are just two sides of the same scale.

  • @EchelonMonitor

Acidifcation = a lowering of pH, so the term they use is 100% accurate. When CO2 enters the water it forms Carbonic Acid (H2CO3), lowering the pH. This lower pH has been shown to reduce immunity and reduce levels of calcifiction in a wide range of animals important to both humans and natural systems. Could go into the details but I dont think you'd understand based on your statement above.

  • It can be done!

I have hope, you can't fish and not have hope.

  • What the heck are we doing?!!... What the hell am I doing?... Let's fix our planet!

  • great documentary.

  • wowWWW FUCK OUR PLANET IS SO BEAUTIFUL AND IDIOTS RUINING IT...

  • let us be serious

and satrt now using the car less

    I do

  • Do oceanic organisms have a mechanism to manipulae the bioavailability of iron (Fe)? I.e. can they rebound by themselves?

  • @jonathanspan what?

  • @jonathanspan wether there is acid or not , one thing is true : human industrial activities threatens wildlife ., have you heard of the oil leak in mexico gulf this days ? sea birds, fish, and water mamals are trapped and contaminated , you have clear evidences around the world of the impact of human activities on nature and wildlife , no need to have an higher education to understand that .

  • What beautiful music.

  • We are on the cusp of 'The New Age' and this is the time of 'Now or Never.'

  • nice high quality vid. enjoyed it.

  • Corporate capitalism doing a fantastic job of consuming everything as fast as possible.

  • @laurelbush

So its one party's view against another's.

Obviously you would believe the one that you want to believe. Im sure that if someone shows you any sketchy report saying there was no economic recession in the last couple years, you would call that "scaremongering" too

  • @nishantstanford

Not that im calling noaa sketchy

  • We saw a program just recently that showed a number of "dead zones" in the Gulf of Mexico, in the Mediterranean and off the coastline of Oregon. 'Man' in our infinite wisdom is so negligent of our planet's health or in endeavors to improve upon nature, nature is inevitably destroyed. *sigh*

  • Dissolved CO2 makes acid.

By 2100, at current rates of increase in atmospheric carbon dioxide, average ocean pH will drop 0.3 - 0.4 and be @ 7.8 with an increase in acidic H+ ion concentration of 150-200%.

That will cause a 50% DECREASE of ocean carbonate ions (CO3).

Carbonate ions are needed for growth by plankton & corals at the base of the ocean's food chain.

    Oops!!!

For info. on CO2 ocean acidification check:

  • people only start to care once things are nearly gone or completely gone!

  • big oil, big coal, big pharma.big walmart big mac, big population, the botom line is what maters not the environment. it's up to the consumer to change. if we don't your kids children will be screwed!! we are burning the candle at every angle, people need to wake up and get their heads out of the ignorant sand pile!! every little thing we do effects nature.example driving with a half full gas tank will save billions of gallons of fuel.. one small step..

  • hey

  • One major thing I've noticed in this debate is the mien of the parties involved.

On one side we have the look of concern: the quiver in the voice; the urgency; the distressed eyes - the genuine and honest plea to listen.

On the other side we have the arrogance; the condascension; the sneer and the patronising 'we know better because...'

The first represents those who are concerned about their fellow life-forms.

    The others...

I think you know the answer.

  • why arent there global warming hoaxers spamming this page hmmm i wonder why mabye because its obvious it exists

  • @MuammarAlGathafi

Quit guessing. Nobody is "spraying" anything

    Other "guessers" have mislead you

Go to a library and read a science book

They are written to help people avoid "guessing"

What is KNOWN is that anthropogenic COMBUSTION (cooking, farming practice, industrial product and energy production is causing this

Be less hard of thinking and research

  • You are blind, ignorant, and in denial.

  • @MuammarAlGathafi

When facing a mirror, keep your mouth shut

Try it at other times too, at least until you learn to understand science

    How did you escape schooling?

    Iron and the Carbon Pump

by William G. Sunda (Beaufort Laboratory, National Ocean Service, NOAA)

"The concentration of carbon dioxide (CO2) in Earth's atmosphere has risen by 38% since the start of the industrial era as a result of fossil fuel burning and land use changes; if current trends continue, it is ..."

  • "... projected to increase further by at least a factor of 2 by 2100. About a quarter of the CO2 emitted through human activities has been absorbed by the ocean. On page 676 of this issue, Shi et al. show that the resulting acidification of ocean surface waters may decrease the biological availability of iron, which could in turn reduce the ability of the ocean to take up CO2."

Effect of Ocean Acidification on Iron Availability to Marine Phytoplankton

by Dalin Shi (Princeton University) and 3 others

    ABSTRACT:

"The acidification caused by the dissolution of anthropogenic carbon dioxide in the ocean changes the chemistry and hence the bioavailability of iron (Fe), a limiting nutrient in large oceanic regions. Here, we show that the bioavailability of dissolved Fe ..."

  • "... may decline because of ocean acidification. Acidification of media containing various Fe compounds decreases the Fe uptake rate of diatoms and coccolithophores to an extent predicted by the changes in Fe chemistry. A slower Fe uptake ... is also seen in experiments with Atlantic surface water. The Fe requirement ... remains unchanged with increasing CO2. The ongoing acidification of seawater is likely to increase the Fe stress of phytoplankton populations in some areas of the ocean."

  • Lisa Suatoni's use of the term "global warming" is rather vague. Did she mean CAGW (Catastrophic Anthropogenic Global Warming"?).

The juxtaposition of the terms "carbon dioxide" and "pollution" is a little politically correct (EPA).

And the real shame is that so very limited time was given to the REAL oceanic problems e.g. disastrous overfishing, large shark depletion, habitat destruction due to industrial fishing, coastal water pollution, etc.

    Thumbs down. Watch Sharkwater instead.

  • Dumbified beyond acceptable level... :/

  • @slctdmbntwrx I agree with you, but at this point, electric cars are either not efficient enough or prohibitively expensive to move a city, much less the world. Maybe in 10 years it will be possible. Until then, we will just have to cut down greenhouse gases in other ways.

  • The world's zero-emission vehicle is a BICYCLE. It's cheap, reliable, versatile and very efficient.

  • Decalcification is not the only threat from carbon dioxide. Ocean acidification also causes decreased gene expression in marine invertebrates.

Transcriptomic response of sea urchin larvae Strongylocentrotus purpuratus to CO2-driven seawater acidification

by Anne E. Todgham and Gretchen E. Hofmann (University of California, Santa Barbara)

    Excerpts follow ...

  • ABSTRACT:

"We carried out a microarray-based transcriptomic analysis of the physiological response of larvae of a calcifying marine invertebrate, the purple sea urchin, Strongylocentrotus purpuratus, to CO2-driven seawater acidification. In lab-based cultures, larvae were raised under conditions approximating current ocean pH conditions (pH 8.01) and at projected, more acidic pH conditions (pH 7.96 and 7.88) in seawater aerated with CO2 gas. Targeting expression of 1000 genes involved in ..."

  • "... several biological processes, this study captured changes in gene expression patterns that characterize the transcriptomic response to CO2-driven seawater acidification of developing sea urchin larvae. In response to both elevated CO2 scenarios, larvae underwent broad scale decreases in gene expression in four major cellular processes: biomineralization, cellular stress response, metabolism and apoptosis. This study underscores that physiological processes beyond calcification ..."

  • "... are impacted greatly, suggesting that overall physiological capacity and not just a singular focus on biomineralization processes is essential for forecasting the impact of future CO2 conditions on marine organisms. Conducted on targeted and vulnerable species, genomics-based studies, such as the one highlighted here, have the potential to identify potential `weak links' in physiological function that may ultimately determine an organism's capacity to tolerate future ocean conditions."

  • @substanti8 Thank sometimes I feel only alone in a wilderness of idiots. Glad to see there are others that value knowledge over belief and faith. with science it is always a matter of fact not fear driven faith

  • i'm glad to see that people who cares...DOES EXIST in our materialistic world

Here's the NRDC web site and the peer-reviewed research that supports this video:

  • The planet has a fixed amount of Carbon. It's just a matter of managing the cycle. A process to introduce buffers or bases into the ocean by gradual means.

What kind of acid ? Carbonic ? Oxalic ? Acetic ? Or just PH in general ?

  • @tenagliac

    It's very simple chemistry:

    CO2 + H2O ----> H2CO3 (carbonic acid)

  • It would be nice to work towards fixing real environmental problems than just demonizing CO2.

If CO2 was really a major cause of acidification then how could some of these corals have evolved in the first place when CO2 was roughly 20X higher?

pH levels have been historically lower than current conditions, but I guess we need to fabricate a new crisis to scare the world.

  • I am not sure about your data because I haven't verified them, but I can your data as valid. The problem is that, following your reasining, we may also think that oxygen is unnecessary, because life was born in an oxygen free environment.

The point is not to keep the world "as it was", because it has always been evolving. The point is to keep our planet fit for our good living here, and ocean acidification may be a major issue.

  • You would have to go back at least 15 million years to find carbon dioxide levels on Earth as high as they are today, a UCLA scientist and colleagues report Oct. 8 in the online edition of the journal Science.

"Carbon dioxide is a potent greenhouse gas, and geological observations that we now have for the last 20 million years lend strong support to the idea that carbon dioxide is an important agent for driving climate change throughout Earth's history," Aradhna Tripati said.

  • CO2 levels were lower prior to this, please view fossil records that support the findings of CO2.

It clearly states that CO2 changes over millions of years give species time to adapt. CO2 artificially introduced over a short period of time is not something the Eco system can adapt to and survive.

We are guilty of having created the 6th mass extinction.

    cont...

  • I would like to see your references or data showing species that have become extinct (or will be shortly) because of added CO2.

Extinction occurs for many reasons, which to me are more important issues than trying to minimally reduce CO2.

  • Lol there is too much for 500 characters, I have told you what to look for, you can Google or go to a library. Nearly all the data is more or less the same be it Gov environmental agencies, or independent research. The simple fact is there are too many of us, the economic political systems be they capitalism or communism are all pyramid models that rely on the population increasing at the bottom layer to support the model.

    cont...

  • Unless those systems are changed to favor a more cyclic model there is no point doing anything We are on a suicidal course anyway We will not be able to feed ourselves & run out of breathable air first So the CO2 argument is a red herring when it gets into the debate of cause Climate change is happening we simply have to deal with it whatever the cause Yet still population and the political economic systems that require an ever expanding bottom layer to simply function are never on the agenda

  • @Kinkspace

I think it's still important to argue about CO2, because the levels will probably determine whether we face a dire future or one of sheer horror. The question is whether we allow the climate to go past tipping points.

    rollingstone. com/politics/story/16956300/ the_prophet_of_climate_change_james_lovelock

  • I got confused as to which comment I was responding to :) Sorry...

Point being it is imperative to get the political economic pyramid models onto the agenda of debate. This is a near impossible task as it is in no politicians interest or corporations interest to do so.

  • @Kink

Well with countless examples for just 500 characters Im sure you could provide 1 just off hand. Googling CO2 extinction shows nothing directly.

It seems you are just assuming that CO2 will warm the planet at a very rapid rate and that is what will kill off many species - I wish I had your crystal ball.

CO2 is not a poison, we will still have breathable air.

I agree CO2 is a red herring. lets start with substantial env. policy instead of fighting the CO2 Ghost.

  • There are enough terms in there for you to Google or go to the library, if you cared to, if you do not nothing I can say will change your mind.

Your really need to reread what I wrote as you have demonstrated you have no grasp of the basics.

substanti8 is right you are a troll, you continue to ask questions I have already answered. I cannot magic you a higher IQ to comprehend something that is obviously challenging to you due to it's complexity.

  • @Kink

You just make giant leaps of assumptions without proving the premises (repeatedly). Since you make ad hominem attacks now, its clear you do not grasp logic. You must have a very high IQ to be above logic. Lets everyone bask in kink's brilliance... maybe it will rub off by osmosis.

Since you no longer want to discuss issues but rather exchange insults I wont further disturb your narrow world view but leave you to the paranoia and propaganda that lives inside your head.

  • You did not discus the issue, you droned on... and on... and on... about the same thing, points which myself, others and not to mention the video have already covered but you failed to grasp.

I tried to discuss it with you but your just not relating to anything I say, you simply drivel on and on and on and on...

If you are interested try relating to what I have already said, if not i think all here know your opinion so there is nothing more for you to add.

  • The variables of (a), (b) and (c) in this instance do not matter as they are all operating within the parameters of "P" = "political economic pyramid model.

    (a-b-c) = P

    P = Z

This is the problem, no one has built a complete model of the existing, everyone is working in their own little project. Time to call a ceasefire and collate ALL the data. The UN is trying, and as much as you do not like that, somebody has to.

    cont...

  • Yes and I have it as a work in progress ;)

  • But the political economic system structure and it's effects on population due to it being a pyramid model is not on the agenda.

How can you have a debate about the environment without population being addressed?

  • You debate by NOT having an all or nothing approach. Just because we cant fly to mars doesn't mean we shouldn't try for the moon. Over-pop may bring the end of all species but does that mean we shouldnt try to do what we can in the meantime? How would we fix over-pop?

  • @sputnik323 This is true but pop is not the problem it is the western lifestyle and the level of resource used to support such a lifestyle

  • i did relate to what you were saying... you had 7 posts to my one post, I related to parts of it as much as I could without writing a novel in response.

  • What was the question /:)

  • "CO2 is not a poison."

    Not necessarily:

    uigi. com/MSDS_gaseous_CO2.html

Furthermore, doubling the amount in the atmosphere would trigger catastrophic climate changes.

  • @sputnik323

If you didn't even pay attention to the video (which rebutted your argument about historic levels of CO2), then why should we bother with your sniping demand for documentation? You don't seem to be participating honestly here. Are you a denier troll?

  • Yes it is very important, but the argument. But as it is without population and the realisation that the cause being the pyramid models being added into the debate only devision can occur in the two dimensional argument that exists, it does not take into account all relative factors relating to CO2 and other consequences that are effecting our spiecies. It has been made political & economic in the wrong way, a way that favors the existing pyramid systems to continue unchecked...

  • Comment removed

  • No solution offered a docking system with the existing "credit culture" mentality with a long term view of sustaining credit lines initially then over a 10 year period educating people & decreasing. (Although it appears China is implementing something along those lines) Instead the pyramid models bailed out the top of the pyramid. The effect was obviously going to be collapse of the bottom layer, then the middle layer was used to compensate. We are doing the same thing with the environment.

    cont

  • My point is that unless the political economic pyramid systems themselves are challenged, and bought into the debate realistically nothing will alter, as the population itself is being held accountable & rightly so, however little will help without addressing the larger issues surrounding the political economic pyramid model. Instinctively people are aware that simply cutting CO2 is not going to solve all the problem if the population continues along present lines...

  • So the attitude of why bother is born, and indeed it then also boils down to being selfish, and competition in the middle and lower layers of the model. Why should (a) give up (b) is (c) will not, but again that is a fueled bi product of the existing pyramid systems.

  • should read "one every 20 mins"... Sorry :)

  • Blah, blah, blah ... whatever you say, troll.

  • Scientists estimate that, a distinct species of plant or animal becomes extinct every 20 minutes. Homorapians are a long way down the road in creating a new geological era, The Ermozoic...

To support our population existing wild habitats like the rain forest, will be given over to become green genetically modified deserts, giving higher yields, stripping the soil further of any remaining nutrients. Mankind would of created for themselves a new geological era, the Ermozoic the Era of Solitude.

  • The Ermozoic the Era of Solitude

Where lil remains on Earth but themselves & the prosthetic environment that keeps them alive. Mankinds version of being in control of his own destiny is to create his own life support machine

Earth has a self regulating mechanism, so in turn the planet will evolve to become less supporting of human life. Humans will even have to produce breathable air cos nothing else will at that point.

  • If We Protect The Oceans We Protect Ourselves. ~Jean-Michel Cousteau~

  • Wow! Again, another beautiful demonstration of life on earth. And Go Sigourney Weaver for narrating! A much loved Environmentalist! I wish people could comprehend the delicate nature of oceans and the importance of its balance with nature. We depend on the ocean, trees, animals to live. We also depend on fossil fuels! Ouch! The goal is to end all man made carbon output. To go green 100% and create clean jobs and forms of transportation to meet the needs of us, and all life on earth! Peace

  • "It has been clearly demonstrated, for example, that "corals can grow quite well in aquariums containing water of very high dissolved CO2 concentration.

(Atkinson et al., 1995); and Carlson (1999) has stated that the fact that corals often thrive in such water seems to contradict conclusions ... that high CO2 may inhibit calcification. Ref available

  • @kimbo99 This is called cherry picking. Dissolved C02 does not equate to acid or carbonic acid.. #2 1995 & 1999 out of date sources. 11 and 15 years? This film was made for the lay person yet you seem to lack the intellectual tools to grasp the fundamentals. But perhaps you may have a point. Im going to give up my career and become a professional football coach. Im sure everything I need to know can be found on the Internet!!!!

  • @stupidirishyes Now when does inventing fantasy numbers without any source or proof or any basis make a valuable post? Your post is scam hoax. Your post is Pseudo science for propaganda.
