  • It is reassuringly safe to watch such a comfortable, seasoned stand-up; he looks so natural on stage that you know it is all going to turn out well.

  • Every clip I see he is getting fatter and fatter.

  • Lee, Herring, Kitson, Munnery, Moran etc. Alternative comedians we salute you

  • I never noticed the difference between a potato and an apple before. Cheers Rich

  • aiotm

  • @designfault aiotm

  • @designfault AYE EYE OTT EMMA

  • his podcasts etc are much better now

  • Was it me or were the crowd a bit shit?

  • potatoes of the sky ^^ take that the french

  • can't wait to see him. 20th december at the apollo!

  • anyone else think he has rickets?

  • When did he get so big? He's got an air of Gene Hunt about him here. ^_^

  • Rich is mah favorite comedian! :) He is bloody gorgeous too, whatever his size!

    Nyum, nyum, nyum indeed!

  • mah favourite

  • Ummm, did he not know that if you hold your nose, and bite into an apple, a potato and an onion, that the textures are the exact same.

Oh god, I sound like David Brent arguing over Spock..

  • how did you learn this ?? and why?? lol

  • @mytonprop

Stumbled across it, and just thought it was so strange I never forgot it. Stuff like that, weird, strange incredible stuff that makes me take a second glance somehow stays lodged in my head. It's strange, I can't explain it, but I do get a kick out of it, as it somehow comes in useful later on.

  • Classic "nyum nyum nyum" moment at 6:42.

  • I like my men cuddlesome.

  • this was filmed 3 years ago, richard herrings quite thin now

  • saw him last night. he still cuddly.

  • he is a fat fuck but he's still cooler than all you lot :D

  • I think Richard Herring is as underrated as locally sourced crab meat.

  • fuck he's piled the weight on

  • I still soooo would. He's gorgeous! Anyway he's lost it now.....then put it on, then lost it...then put it on....you get the idea! :)

  • mincer

  • Nothing original about The Office? What other than the fact that it completely changed the genre of sit com?

  • No it didn't change the genre Mate. See People like Us and before that Set of Six. However, it is absolutley fantastic and the best by a mile and anyone who says otherwise is talking out of their John Ritter. Herring is superb too.

  • Good call. People like us was amazing, and has done more with the faux documentary framing than any comedy since. Most comedies just use it as a filming style, and the actors virtually ignore the camera, until they do their talking heads bit... see Parks and Recreation.

  • I laughed out loud several times at this. Excellent!

  • i swear the office got material off this guy for the idea of eating a potato in place of an apple! i think it was first season and they make a bet to see if creed would notice the difference

  • I don't think there was anything original about The Office, despite what people say.

  • you're ridiculous...

  • Who's ridiculous? Me, or is it Ricky Gervais the businessman, in his suit and his tie?

  • you

  • No, it's the other one. It's the businessman.,.

  • the american office killed a great idea

  • I thought that was very clever. Great stuff!

  • spencer brown is amazing

  • he played at the pub i work in tonight. he was quality. and a really nice guy too. got chatting to him. one of the funniest men i've met. very underatted.

  • Does anyone know the name of the comedian on the same episode, I cant remember if he was on before or after, but it was a young posh guy who made a joke about ticks on the side of boxes of toothpaste, and he had a calvin klein waistband on, but just the band no pants!

  • That'll be the ace Spencer Brown - the clip's on youtube if you search on his name.

  • thanks buddy :)

  • i agree herring is underated and fantastic! xx

  • "d'you want a sky potato, eve?"

    "yeah, course I fucking do!"

    lol

  • Lmao, he's so purile but so funny XD

  • lol exact same material as the last one I watched

  • Shame he can't say the same thing as he does on the Menage A Un DVD; "Don't make excuses for him, he's done it before! He's done it with Bilko! He should have learnt... What a fucking cunt!" Cracks me up every time I hear it. It's not one of Herring's more cerebral jokes, but the word 'cunt' has never sounded funnier to me.

  • In fact, Martin is a serial offender here, having misappropriated roles from Spencer Tracy (Father Of The Bride), Phil Silvers (Bilko), Peter Sellers (Clouseau), Clifton Webb (Cheaper By The Dozen), Jack lemmon (The Out Of Towners), and Bob Hoskins (Pennies From Heaven). All actors that made parts their own. Expect to see him soon in Tom Cruise's role in Top Gun.

  • I whole heartedly agree

  • It is criminal how underappreciated Richard Herring is.

  • @padraic2001eire

While I agree with you on principle, it does rather make me feel like I'm part of an exclusive club, if that makes sense...

  • @quasarsphere I went into my nearest HMV today. There was a total of eight Lee Evans DVDs I could have bought if I wanted. Do you know how many Richard Herring DVDs there were? None...

  • @padraic2001eire You can only get Hitler Moustache in HMV, go faster stripes website is the only place you can get his other dvds, also there is more awesome dvds there.
