Where this was very early days for properly done onboard cameras, I seem to remember around this time, a feature in Autosport titled something like 'Curse of the onboard cameras', as early in '89, there were 2-3 races where all of the camera cars either didn't qualify or retired early, hence no or very little onboard footage
It was from this race that Prost started to have serious doubts about the power of the V10 Honda's in his car compared to those in Senna's. Early on Prost came onto the straight a fair bit faster than Senna yet made no impression at all in a straight line despite being under Senna's rear wing going past the pits. Later when Senna lapped Prost, it was the same thing in reverse yet Senna was able to easily pass Prost on the straight.....
