Never did well in road races because of extra weight. My best friend had one and it was as fast as 750 4 strokes of the time. Was faster then the Yamaha in a straight line but the Yamaha was lighter.
This was actually mote advanced than the 350 triple that replaced it ! Disc valve induction while the 350 was piston port ,but Kawasaki wanted to create a family of Triples ! The indicators were an optional extra at the time ! This is a really minted example ! Maybe one of these days........!! Peace Ye`all !
I have read a comparison by Cycle Magazine in which it says the A7 is the fastest of all 350s from that era. It is quite a bit faster then the R5 is this test.
However, from my own riding experience on my bikes here, I think my R5 is faster than my A7. Maybe I am wrong, I have never tested them against one another, the R5 just feels faster when I ride them.
Fastest of all my 350s is my S2A and next is my RD350.
It is a nice bike, but it looks better in the photos than in reality. Up close, there are some paint chips on the frame, that kind of thing, but yeah, overall it is a very nice bike. I finally got it running well too, it runs pretty good now. I am using it as a daily ride at the moment.
Hi.
Thank You.
Glad you like it.

Yes, very fast for a 350 of that time, the A7 is an interesting bike. I think my S2 is faster though.

I had one in college back in 1972. I think it was a 1969 too. I loved that bike. It was very fast for a 350.
