@DotsyOO7 i agree, "taped" the Noise and Confusion gig at the Barrowlands off of sky, think it was bout 2001. to me supersonic never seemed to really start, "kick in". might have just been the sound then, but sounded weird, kinna flat an empty at the time. whoever or whatever it was, a guitar was missin from it all!
yes by then poor whitey was beginning to loose it.....but if you listen to the second night of Maine Road in 96 you'll hear the dru m beat reborn....even more energetic!
yeh i agree that its badly played but my point is part of what them so appealing was they wer a set of lads with no real musical experience and it gave kids on crappy estates like my own the feeling that even u wer shit u could do it! I do see what u mean though its rushed but maybe they wanted that for a diff sound live!
" they wer a set of lads with no real musical experience"
no shit, I always thought that added to their appeal. I like that they evolved over the years but most people in the states can't understand how cool they were in the begining
Speaking as a drummer (of around 17 years), Alan was head n shoulders above any drummer Oasis have had (except maybe his older internationally respected session drumming brother). Alan's timing and feel where spot on, and had a great sense of syncopation in certin parts when nessecary. He did things sometimes too subtle for your average non drumming joe to recognise as both difficult and rhythmic.
fuckin EPIC!!!!!!!!!

Young, Fresh & Passionate Days. This show proves why they ruled British rock scene after 1994.

when you compare this drumming to the drumming that was on Familiar To Millions, the FTM drumming was shit.

this new guy Chris something is fucking superhuman, maybe the best Oasis drummer ever. they need to sign him up as an offical member

this drumming is too fast.

Doesnt sound stupid though it sounds better in my opinion as a drummer gives the song somat special!
bringitondown66 3 years ago
I disagree, the vocals are too rushed because of the ridiculously paced drumming.

Ok i missed that point!
I reckon they didn't do that on purpose, Tony was notorious for getting the speeds of the songs wrong.

Thtas why they were considered the perfect mix of the Beatles and the sex pistols.
Once they forgot their sex pistol root and just tried to be the next beatles they lose some edge but they became bigger on the media and mainstream.
